Chapter 192: Lu Yumo Was Slapped In The Face

Xu Wei let out a sigh when she saw Dong Cun. She hastily went up to him and said, “No. She was taken away by Jiang Ningbei.”

After she told Dong Cun everything, she lowered her head and said with a humble attitude, “Xiao Dong, Zhizhi is my only daughter, so could you do me a favor and help her this time? I can give you as much money as you want…”

They were going to interrogate her daughter for half a month, and Xu Wei could imagine how tough the process would be just by thinking about it. There was no way she was going to let her daughter go through something like that. Therefore, she was willing to put aside her pride and beg for Dong Cun’s help.

“It’s not about money,” Dong Cun replied.

Jiang Ningbei came from a political dynasty. In ancient times, his father would have been considered the general director in charge of palace affairs. Therefore, considering the difference between the levels of the two families, the Dong Family was merely on greeting terms with the Jiang Family.

Xu Wei nearly fell to the floor. Her eyes were red as she replied, “No! My Zhizhi is not a murderer!”

I don’t understand… Of all the children in the world, why did you have to adopt her? She is a bad girl with bad grades and a bad attitude! There simply is nothing good about her!” Madam Lu said, gritting her teeth. If she had a time machine, she would go back and stop Xu Wei from adopting Fu Zhi at any cost.

“Do you know how many people are going to laugh at me when they hear about this?” The old lady let out a breath, pointed at Xu Wei, and added, “Luckily, she isn’t related to us by blood, so we can still fix this. She is a girl capable of violence. If she’s lucky and they release her, you guys will have to send her back to the orphanage!”

Lu Yumo frowned when he heard what his grandmother had said and chimed in, “My family didn’t abandon me even though I’m useless, so there’s no way we will abandon Zhizhi!”

‘Are you two the same?’

Madam Lu rolled her eyes at Lu Yumo and answered, “No matter how useless you are, you’re still a descendant of the Lu Family. She is nothing to us!”
