Chapter 88: A Rare Grand Occasion
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Suddenly, everyone was frozen in shock.
Vulture died with one sword!
Goshawk died with one sword!
How powerful was this young man that he could have such abilities?
At a glance, Su Mo looked like a typical boy next door, but at this moment, he seemed to exude a glorious radiance to everyone.
He coldly scanned the surrounding men in black and said to He Qian and Dong Yue, “Can you two deal with these men?”
“No problem!”
He Qian and Dong Yue snapped into attention and yelled as they ran towards the men in black, “Die!”
“Let’s go!”
When the men in black saw that their two leaders were dead, they all gave up on fighting and scattered.
“You’re going nowhere!”
He Qian and Dong Yue pursued closely.
Su Mo did not chase after the remaining men in black. After he searched Goshawk and Vulture’s storage pouches, he turned to the shocked Ji Shuirou with a smile and said, “Miss Ji, now you’re safe, and there should be no more dangers left on the way back. This’s where I leave you!”
Ji Shuirou bowed hastily and nervously and said, “Thank you so much for your help, sir. If not for you, we probably would have been in deep trouble!”
Ji Shuirou sighed inwardly. She had underestimated this young man. He was definitely a genius.
Su Mo waved his hand and said, “A man who accepts others’ requests tries his best to accomplish them. Since I accepted this mission, I obviously had to try my best to protect you.”
Su Mo sighed and said, “Miss Ji, it’s not safe to linger here. I suggest you return to Maple Leaf City as quickly as possible!”
Ji Shuirou nodded, clasped her hands, and said, “Well then we’ll be on our way, Mr. Su Mo!”
“Yes, goodbye!” Su Mo bowed his head.
“Giddy up!”
With the whining of horses, Ji Shuirou and the other Ji family martial artists all left.

“Sir Su Mo, I expect you’ll be quite famous in Skymoon Country!”
Ji Shuirou’s voice drifted from afar.
“Haha!”
Su Mo smiled and said to himself quietly, “I’m sure that day will come soon!”
Then, he looked at the bodies of Goshawk and his men, and his eyes lit up. “The blood essence of all these martial artists of the Spiritual Martial Realm must be enough for me to enter the Lv 3 Spiritual Martial Realm!”
“Devour!”
His Martial Soul emerged and attracted large amounts of blood essence towards Su Mo.
Su Mo had told Ji Shuirou and her subjects to leave quickly because he wanted to devour as soon as possible.
Otherwise, after a while, all the useful blood essence and Blood Qi would disappear!
He could not devour blood essence in front of Ji Shuirou.
If news of his ability to devour blood essence and turn it into Qi got out, there would only be negative consequences for him.
Devouring allowed Su Mo’s cultivation to soar once again.
In a short period of time, his cultivation rose to the peak Lv 2 Spiritual Martial Realm, and the three Spiritual Spirals in his body filled with genuine Qi.
Also, Su Mo’s genuine Qi was still increasing, and if he could just break the cultivation bottleneck, he could enter into the Lv 3 Spiritual Martial Realm.
Suddenly, two figures sped over from the distance.
They were He Qian and Dong Yue.
Su Mo saw them return and frowned, and he immediately stopped devouring.
Their return forced Su Mo to stop his devouring and take back his Devouring Martial Spirit in frustration.
In that moment, he almost felt compelled to kill them.
However, he dismissed this idea immediately. These two men had done nothing wrong to him, and they even grew close during the past few days.
If he engaged in mindless killing in order to devour blood essence, he would be no different from a vampire!
“Haha! That was fun! Brother Su, Brother He and I killed half of those men in black, and only a dozen got away!” said Dong Yue with a chuckle as they neared.

He Qian and Dong Yue stood in front of Su Mo, amazed by Su Mo’s ability.
Standing next to Su Mo again, they could not help but feel an amorphous power.
“Brother Su, where is Miss Ji?”
He Qian asked confusedly when he noticed that Ji Shuirou and Ji martial artists were not there.
“They went back already!” Su Mo said. “Let’s go to Yu Mountain too!”
“Alright, let’s go!” The two men nodded.
Su Mo straddled his horse and led the way.
“Hm? What happened to these people? Why are they all dried up?” asked Dong Yue as he was about to leave.
He had spotted the corpses of Goshawk and his men, which were all shriveled into sticks, so he was confused.
He Qian glanced at the corpses and guessed, “Maybe they just bled out!”
“Let’s just get out of here as fast as possible!” said He Qian.
He spurred on his horse, and the two men followed Su Mo.
They did not pay close attention to the corpses.
In reality, Su Mo had not finished devouring their blood essence. Otherwise, they would completely be mummified instead of just being thin.
Yu Mountain was a famous mountain in Skymoon Country.
This mountain was in the Southwestern region of Skymoon Country. It was an isolated mountain that stood thousands of meters high.
At the moment, there were hundreds of thousands of people congregated on Yu Mountain.
They trailed from the peak down to the foot, crowded into a loud sea of heads.
Also, there were still new crowds of people rushing onto Yu Mountain.
“Damn it! There are way too many people here!”
When Su Mo and his companions arrived at Yu Mountain after days of travel, they were shocked by what they saw.
Dong Yue looked at the endless swarms of people and could not stop tsking.
“Let’s just wait at the foot of the mountain!” Su Mo said with a sigh.
There were too many people on the mountain, and Su Mo did not want to be shoved around.
All three of them were martial artists of the Spiritual Martial Realm, so they had visions that allowed them to clearly see battles more than five kilometers away.
Also, it was said that Duan Jingtian and Jin Yang were both experts of the True Spirit Realm who had the ability to fly, so the battle was definitely not restricted to the peak.
Su Mo found an empty section of ground and sat down cross-legged.
There was only one day left until the Yu Mountain battle, so there was no time to waste.
Su Mo closed his eyes and called upon his Martial Soul to absorb natural Spiritual Qi and cultivation Elephant’s Strength Skill.
“With such a talent, yet brother Su still cultivates so hard. How admirable!” exclaimed Dong Yue, who immediately joined Su Mo on the ground.
“I just saw a few people from my sect, so I’ll leave you two!” He Qian said to his companions and left.
Time went by slowly, and more people came. By noon of the second day, there were at least a million people in Yu mountain.
“Look, brother Su, there’re experts of the True Spirit Realm!” Dong Yue suddenly said in surprise.
Su Mo opened his eyes and saw an old man in a gray robe trod on colorful light, floating over from the sky.
When he reached the top of Yu Mountain, the old man instantly landed on the peak.
A large amount of the True Spirit Realm experts arrived at Yu Mountain one after another following this old man.
“Look, those are the elders of the Sky Yuan sect!” Dong Yue yelled excitedly.
A dozen people flew towards the far peak, each of them commanding a strong presence. They were all in the True Spirit Realm.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
