Chapter 107: Crushing Defeat
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
This blue figure belonged to a Sky Yuan Sect disciple.
He shot down from the wall like a flying arrow and reached the court in no time. He stood right in front of Liang Chuan, face to face.
“I am Jiang Zhuo, a disciple of the Sky Yuan Sect, and I am here to see the brilliant moves from your Ulti-mystery Sect. Let’s get started!”
Jiang Zhuo was a tall and sturdy young lad. His cultivation was at Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm.
He held an eight-foot spear in his hand. He was dominating and powerful, no less imposing than Liang Chuan of the Ulti-mystery Sect.
The fact that someone from Skymoon Country had finally accepted the challenge did not surprise Liang Chuan at all. Instead, he could not help but show a tinge of a smile.
“In that case, let’s get it started!”
Liang Chuan nodded, and a sharp radiance gleamed in his eyes.
Clang!
Liang Chuan’s long saber came out from its sheath. He did not do any flashy movements. He simply split boldly without any doubt or hesitation.
Unparalleled saber momentum surged, and the cold flash of his blade struck at Jiang Zhuo’s head. It was the blade of death.
Huff!
Jiang Zhuo could not give it another second of thought. All he could do was block the oncoming hack with his spear, now aglow with blue light.
In a split second!
Clang!
Whoosh!
The blade flashed. Someone’s blood splashed out and spurted up to the sky.
Jiang Zhuo and his spear were split in half!
“What?”
Everyone from Skymoon Country was astonished by what had just happened.
Jiang Zhuo, a disciple of the Sky Yuan Sect, could not even resist one hack.
He and his spear had just been split in half.
Was this Ulti-mystery Sect disciple that strong?
Or was Jiang Zhuo just too weak?
Only a few disciples from the Sky Yuan Sect knew that Jiang Zhuo was not a weakling among his peers.
Yuan Zhan was grim-faced. With the same level of cultivation, a Sky Yuan Sect disciple could not even survive one of his opponent’s moves!

Su Mo was astonished as well. He shook his head, thinking that Ironforest Country had prepared in advance.
Although Liang Chuan was only at Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm in cultivation, he definitely had the strength to fight martial artists of higher levels.
In the court, Liang Chuan remained calm, even though he had just killed Jiang Zhuo with one split. He smirked and cast his eyes to the side of Skymoon Country again.
“So lame! The four sects only produce such trash?”
Liang Chuan shook his head and sneered, and then he yelled again, “Who dares to fight with me now?”
Yuan Zhan snorted and then turned back, looking towards the back and casting his sight on Fang Xiao.
Fang Xiao sensed his intense stare and nodded back slightly.
Fang Xiao looked at the disciples of the four sects and asked, “My fellows, who is willing to kill this person?”
The disciples of the four sects were silent for a moment.
Soon, a disciple from the Scorching Sun Sect walked out and said, “City Governor Fang, I am willing to kill him.”
“Good!”
A tinge of appreciation appeared in Fang Xiao’s eyes. He said, “This man is strong. What do you think the chances of you winning are?”
This disciple brooded a bit and then answered, “I’d say there is a 60-70% chance that I will defeat him!”
This disciple had a cultivation at the peak Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm.
He was much stronger than Jiang Zhuo.
“Ok! Try your best. I will sound the drums and root for you,” Fang Xiao said and then told the surrounding soldiers to use the drums.
The disciple said nothing. He dashed down the wall.
Dong! Dong! Dong!
The depressing sound of drums was so loud that it shook the earth.
In the court, the disciple stood opposite Liang Chuan.
The people from Skymoon Country and Ironforest Country were all silent. Their eyes were glued on the fight.
“Haha, they are using drums to cheer you up, but they don’t realize it’s the sound of your death.”
Liang Chuan gave the disciple a contemptuous look. He shook his head and sneered.

“Ha! Defeating Jiang Zhuo made you think that you’re invincible. What a narrow-minded person!”
The disciple of Scorching Sun Sect smirked.
Despite his words, his face was not as tough.
He knew that the opponent was strong, and if he wanted to win, he had to try his best.
Whoosh!
A pair of metal gauntlet appeared in his hands suddenly.
The gloves were shining like the sun, and extremely hot.
“Kill!”
“Flame-blasting Fist!”
The Scorching Sun Sect disciple attacked first. His fists burst out fiercely, enveloped by red flames.
This punch was strong enough to be an on par with an attack from a martial artist at Lv 2 Spiritual Martial Realm.
This disciple was indeed using his full strength.
He was showing the well-known Martial Techniques of the Fire System of the Scorching Sun Sect.
He assumed he could defeat Liang Chuan with this one move.
However, people did not always get what they wanted.
The next moment, the blade burst with a cold flash. It looked like a white thunderbolt that would rip the world into pieces. The hack was unstoppable.
This strike was twice as strong as the one used on Jiang Zhuo.
Boom!
With one chop, blood rained from the skies.
This disciple was also split in two.
Everyone from Skymoon Country was astonished again.
Just one cut!
No matter if he was faced with a disciple of the Sky Yuan Sect or a disciple of the Scorching Sun Sect, Liang Chuan only needed one hack to kill them.
He was too powerful!
Liang Chuan could definitely defeat an ordinary martial artist at Lv 2 Spiritual Martial Realm.
Yuan Zhan’s face could not be more grave.
Every Skymoon Country soldier was silent as well.
During these last two consecutive fights, the people who fought for Skymoon had been completely crushed. They hadn’t even had a chance to fight back!
The disciples of the Scorching Sun Sect were extremely angry, as were the disciples from the other three sects.
A lot of people were wondering if every martial artist from Ironforest Country was this strong.
At the very least, they were much stronger than their peers from Skymoon Country.
Su Mo frowned. The morale on the Skymoon side had become completely stifled by these battles.
It was not a good sign.
“Is Ironforest Country’s strategy to break the confidence of Skymoon Country’s martial artists?”
Even though he wanted to go to the court and kill Liang Chuan, his cultivation was at Lv 3 Spiritual Martial Realm, far beyond Liang Chuan. He could not pick a fight with him.
“Hahaha…!”
People on Ironforest Country’s side screamed with laughter; they could not hide their joy.
Mo Tie, the general of Ironforest Country, was extremely proud.
“Yuan Zhan, two people from your side have been killed already. I wonder if there is anyone still willing to accept our challenge?” Mo Tie asked with a laugh.
Yuan Zhan snorted and looked towards the back again.
“Anyone?”
Fang Xiao looked at the disciples.
His answer was smothering silence.
There were over 100 disciples at Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm in total. Not one of them dared to fight with Liang Chuan.
The Scorching Sun Sect disciple had not been the best among them, but he was still pretty strong.
If he could not survive one hack from Liang Chuan, the others would be doomed if they dared to take the challenge.
This was not just some cultivation competition in school, in which you always got a second chance.
If you were defeated here, you would never have a second chance to fight again.
Disciples with high cultivation felt helpless as well, even though they were strong. They could not fight with the lower-rank.
Seeing no disciple willing to take a fight, Yuan Zhan was annoyed. He whispered to his deputy.
Soon, a soldier wearing armor stepped out from the Black Scale Army.
Since no disciple was willing to fight, Yuan Zhan had to use soldiers from his army.
It was impossible for him to admit defeat.
There were a number of martial artists at Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm in the Black Scale Army. There had to be someone who could defeat this young man.

A Goblin's Blade (dropped)
He looked down the path, which was littered with many things. Things he found in abundance were such of violence, desire and gore while things he found in scarcity were such of love, friendship and glory. At the start of the path was a naive, green goblin while at the end of it... Well at the end of it stood him: the godslayer, the monster from the forest, the walking death... He had many names but none so that perfectly captured his image as well as the Mad King. Authors note: Edit: Trying to release a chapter per day, around 2-2.5k words each. An evolution story about a goblin. This is under lit-rpg but I'm focusing more on the plot/characters instead of the usual features of such stories such as the blue tables that take ages to make or the stat screens. In essence it's closer to high fantasy than lit-rpg. Much appreciated if you read the Prologue to see whether you like it or not. Cover image is "Evolution" taken from art done by WhoAmI01
