Chapter 215: Heinous Killing Desire
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
All of the participants looked up and saw four inner elders striding in the air to approach them. Their imposing manner was exuding a tempestuous aura.
The leader was a tall and thin old man with slightly gray hair. His aura was gruesome and extremely horrifying.
He was the Seventh Elder of the inner gate and held a high position of power in Gale Island.
Su Mo’s eyes narrowed as one of them was the invigilating elder who deliberately made things difficult for him previously.
At the same time, the invigilating elder glanced through the square and spotted Su Mo standing at the edge. The corner of his mouth smiled slightly with mockery.
When they landed on the Inner Square, the Seventh Elder glanced around and said loudly, “The Inner Gate Trial Test will be at Qinghua Rift and the duration is 10 days. I’m sure all of you have heard about Qinghua Rift. Countless Gale Island disciples have died there. I hope more of you could survive this time around. Now, let me ask again. Is there anyone who wants to quit? You can still exit now.”
Some people indeed chose to exit after hearing the Seventh Elder.
More than 60 Inner Disciples chose to give up. Most of them were at Lv 7 Spiritual Martial Realm and a few were at Lv 8 Spiritual Martial Realm.
No one would laugh at their cowardice. Many of whom had been through the trial test in Qinghua Rift and were well aware of the danger. It was a death tour. So, it was natural for those who had no confidence in passing the test to quit in advance.
The Qinghua Rift was no doubt a place full of treatures and those who survived the test would definitely benefit from it. But provided they could survive the test.
If they died during the test, no matter how many treasures they had gained, in the end, it would all come to a naught.

For the past annual trial test, nearly 100 experts perished in the Qinghua Rift each time. Some of them were experts at Lv 9 Spiritual Martial Realm, let alone those at Lv 7 Spiritual Martial Realm.
After a while, as no one else requested to withdraw, the Seventh Elder continued.
“Every participant will be given a waist badge that will record your scores. You’ll gain 10 points for killing a Class 7 Lv 2 demonic beast, 40 points for a Class 8, 200 points for a Class 9, and 3000 points for a Level 3.
“There’re many treasures of heaven and earth in the Qinghua Rift. You can either keep the prizes for yourself or exchange it for scores. The top 10 disciples with the highest total score will each be rewarded with a Class 3 treasure. The number one top score will be given an extra 100,000 contribution points for his achievements!”
Upon hearing the Seventh Elder’s words, there was a sudden commotion among the Inner Disciples.
The sect used to award only contribution points to those participants who survived the inner gate Qinghua Trial Test. But now the awards were upgraded to Class 3 Treasures.
For a moment, many disciples’ eyes glowed with enthusiasm. Class 3 treasures! The treasures were only used by experts in the True Spirit Realm.
Even the lowest Class 3 treasure would cost about 150,000 or 160,000 contribution points. As compared to the past, it seemed that the rewards were more generous than previous years.
“But if you’re killed during the trial test, the one who kills you will take over all the scores you’ve achieved. So you must remain on guard against the disciples of the other sects, especially the disciples of the Scorching Sun Sect!”
The Seventh Elder paused and then warned seriously, “We’re no longer tolerating the Scorching Sun Sect. Their disciples will definitely show you no mercy, so kill them decisively if you run into them.”

Su Mo remained silent. It was clear that the rule was aimed to encourage people to fight among themselves. There were many ways of earning points, such as hunting demonic beasts and collecting treasures. However, killing others was still the fastest way. No matter how many points he had earned, his points would be transferred to you.
Whether it was the outer gate Qingyuan Trial Test or the inner gate Qinghua Trial Test, both were cold and ruthless.
“I hope more participants can survive the trial test this time around! It’s time to go!” the Seventh Elder said.
He was sighing as he wondered how many of these young disciples could survive the test. On the other hand, those who remained alive would be the elites and the backbones of Gale Island.
“Seventh Elder, please wait!”
At this instant, a sudden flat voice was heard.
The Seventh Elder was startled. He looked at the person who spoke, and so did the others, all staring in the same direction. It was Yin Lige, the number one in the inner gate.
Yin Lige stood in front of the crowd, expressionless and then he turned to look at Su Mo.
“Are you Su Mo?”
He asked softly and smiled gently as if he was Su Mo’s old acquaintance.
Su Mo stared coldly at him and remained silent.
Yin Lige smiled more brightly, with the corner mouth of his hooked upwards, he spoke loudly, “Su Mo is an enemy of the Sky Alliance. Anyone who kills him in the Qinghua Rift shall have my Class 3 treasure as a reward. If he’s not a member of the Sky Alliance yet, he’ll also be eligible to join us.”
Upon hearing Yin Lige’s words, a sudden silence descended on the crowd.
The silence lingered for a few breaths of time. The next moment, heinous killing intent surged and swarmed all over the square.
Instantly, Su Mo felt over 1,000 sharp eyes glaring and locked tightly onto him.
All the eyes were blazed with cold desires to kill him.
At that moment, the square was extremely cold with surging killing intent, as if they were in frigid winter.
Even though Su Mo was strong, at that instant, with over 1,000 peoples’ surging killing intent targeting him, he could feel the chill down his spine as if he was in an ice house.
Yin Lige’s words had turned all the participants against Su Mo.
Yin Lige, the number one in the inner gate!
Yin Lige was expected to enter the top 10 list for this trial test. Even if he came out as number one, it would not be a surprise.
That meant, Yin Lige could definitely win the Class 3 treasure as a reward!
Given that, the treasure would belong to them if they could kill Su Mo.
Moreover, they could also join the powerful Sky Alliance.
At this moment, everyone’s hearts were burning with fire.
No one suspected Yin Lige’s words. As the number one in the inner gate, he would keep his promise.
Most of the people had little chance of getting the top 10 reward, but as compared to killing Su Mo, it was so much easier!
Although many of them had heard of Su Mo’s battle records and his ability to kill experts of higher cultivation, still they were confident to kill him, for they were equally talented and had also managed to kill people of higher cultivation, not to mention that Su Mo’s cultivation was lower than theirs. Hence, killing Su Mo was not too difficult.
Even if they were not capable of defeating Su Mo individually, they could gather some friends to hunt him down together.
