Chapter 247: Qi Feiyu
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Su Mo’s room was destroyed completely with a big explosion which alarmed the Outer Disciples nearby, causing them to run out one after another.
“Dear God! They’re experts of the True Spirit Realm! Are they the core disciples?”
“What do they want? Do they want to kill Su Mo?”
“They’re the experts of the Sky Alliance. They’re coming to kill Su Mo! He’s done for!”
Many disciples were shocked at the sight of this scene. The experts of the True Spirit Realm came to kill Su Mo, and he would undoubtedly die.
Many disciples were not aware that Su Mo had been an Inner Disciple and had already killed an expert at the Lv 1 True Spirit Realm in the Qinghua Trial Test.
Su Mo entered the inner gate and had taken part in the Qinghua Trial Test after returning from the Imperial City, during which the time was too short to let people know about Su Mo’s promotion.
Only a small handful of people who were on intimate terms with the inner gate knew of Su Mo’s performance in the Qinghua Rift.
However, other disciples realized it later when they saw Su Mo wearing the long robe of the Inner Disciples.
The whole outer gate area was disturbed. Su Mo’s house was densely surrounded by many Outer Disciples some of whom stood even some hundreds of meters from the house.
Fei Kuang, Lu Shaoyun, Mei Ling and others of the 10 Outer Disciples also stood and watched from afar.
“The core disciples of the Sky Alliance are truly mighty, and intend to kill Su Mo directly within the sect!” said Lu Shaoyun.
“They’ve hit the True Spirit Realm, and their status is almost as high as the outer gate elders, so they have nothing to fear!” Fei Kuang shook his head and said.
In the sky, Qi Feiyu overlooked Su Mo and said with a ruthless smile, “You small fry, today I’ll not only kill you but will also make your skin crawl!”

Su Mo heard this and sneered, “You always call me small fry, but you’re no more to me!”
“What did you say?”
Qi Feiyu’s face turned grave, and he said with an intense murderous intent, “Don’t talk nonsense and waste my time. I’ll kill you now!”
After saying that, he moved rapidly to Su Mo. His spear stabbed forward, and a streak of sharp light shot directly to Su Mo.
As Qi Feiyu attacked Su Mo, the two disciples behind him did not move. They believed that Qi Feiyu’s power was sufficient.
The spear’s force reached Su Mo’s eyes within a blink of an eye and was as sharp as a meteor.
“Su Mo’s done for!” Many people shouted.
They thought that any Outer Disciples and Inner Disciples would be killed in seconds while facing the core disciples of the True Spirit Realm.
At this time, Su Mo’s body burst out in a dazzling golden light.
“You’re too weak to kill me!” Su Mo said coldly, as he drove his body’s force to punch the sharp spear.
At next moment, his dazzling golden fist fueled with power collided directly with the sharp spear.
Boom!
The sharp spear of light was shattered, and the power of the fist caused the walls to tear apart and a hole to be created in the floor.
The crowd was shocked. The attack of the True Spirit Realm expert was annihilated by Su Mo’s fist!
“Su Mo is so powerful that he’s able to withstand the attack of a True Spirit Realm master!” Lu Shaoyun was stunned.
“Su Mo’s strength is far beyond what we had imagined!” Fei Kuang shook his head and smiled bitterly.
After the first attack failed, within a second, Qi Feiyu had already closed in on Su Mo.
He shouted, swung his spear, which lashed out with dozens of shadow spears, and stabbed at Su Mo’s vital organs.
Whoosh!
Su Mo moved to dodge most of the attacks and then punched out to smash the rest.
Swoosh!

At this moment, Qi Feiyu’s spear slithered toward Su Mo’s chest, like a fierce dragon out of the sea.
“Die!” Qi Feiyu growled.
The spear’s tip had was not yet close to Su Mo’s body, but its sharpness had already pierced through Su Mo’s clothes, stirring a spark on his chest.
“Get away!” Su Mo shouted coldly, and his fist shook off the long spear.
At the next moment, Su Mo jumped upward and pounced upon Qi Feiyu to hit his head with his fist.
His genuine Qi of the nine Spiritual Spirals ran quickly. And his fist was shining with dazzling golden light, like a small-sized sun.
This fist was extremely powerful and was full of the fierce genuine Qi of the nine Spiritual Spirals and the strength of Su Mo. This fist of his was as forceful as that of a Lv 2 Spiritual Martial Realm martial artist.
“You’re tired of living!” Qi Feiyu had no time to take back his spear while facing Su Mo’s fist, but he did not cower back. Instead, he lifted up his fist to block Su Mo.
Qi Feiyu was a martial artist at the Lv 2 True Spirit Realm, and he thought he would definitely not lose.
Pop!
The fists smashed into one another, causing a dull bang. Then, there was blood and flesh everywhere.
“Ah!”
Qi Feiyu screeched, his fist colliding with Su Mo’s in a flash, and then he flew hundreds of meters backwards into the air.
At that moment, a chill sweat ran over his forehead. He could not have imagined the force of Su Mo’s fist. He checked his left fist.
Qi Feiyu was shocked.
His left fist had been cut off because of Su Mo’s attack, and all that could be seen were the bones of his wrist where it had been broken off.
Fountains of fresh blood spurted out from his wrist the rest of his damaged left arm, dropped down from the sky, and drip-dripped to the ground.
The surrounding area went quiet, and all the Outer Disciples were stunned.
Su Mo had hurt a True Spirit Realm expert. They could not believe it!
“This’s impossible!” Lu Shaoyun muttered in a trance.
“Everything is possible for him!” said Fei Kuang, stunned.
There were also some outer gate elders who were watching from afar.
However, no one came to stop it. Core disciples were as powerful as outer gate elders in status and strength and could become outer gate elders whenever they wanted.
What was more, Qi Feiyu was a member of the Sky Alliance, so no one would give him a hand.
In the sky, Qi Feiyu was pale and his face was contorted from the fierce pain.
“How is this possible? You’re just a small fry from the Spiritual Martial Realm, how can you hurt me?” He stared at Su Mo venomously and growled angrily.
Su Mo sneered, he thought that the opponent was brazen-faced after being hurt by him.
“I’ve said that you’re just a small fry in my eyes as well!” he said coldly.
“You’re asking to die!” Qi Feiyu was raging and wanted to attack again!
“Senior Brother Qi!” the two disciples accompanying Qi Feiyu immediately came forward to stop him.
“Senior Brother Qi, Su Mo’s strength is so great, you’d better stop fighting him. You’re injured, now!” one of the disciples said.
They were also extremely shocked. They had thought that it was easy enough for him to kill Su Mo with Qi Feiyu’s cultivation of the Lv 2 True Spirit Realm, but he had unexpectedly been defeated!
As for the two of them at the Lv 1 True Spirit Realm, it was impossible for them to kill Su Mo alone!
“Er…” Qi Feiyu heard this and then calmed down, but he was upset to let off Su Mo.
At this moment, with a tremendous power surged from the distant sky, and a short skinny figure appeared in a flash.
The figure was none other than the Inner Examination elder, Meng Han.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
