Chapter 339: A Divine Beauty
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
In the fighting ring,
the Ninth Princess was stunned and her face went pale.
“Is my Teal Lotus Shield going to be broken?”
Her disbelief was as strong as her amazement at Su Mo’s strength.
She had originally wanted to teach Su Mo a lesson in this battle. But as it stood now, she was the one who would be getting schooled instead!
As she circulated her Genuine Vitality, the crack on the lotus shield was immediately repaired.
“Whoosh!”
She flew at Su Mo at lightning speed as she could not sit back any longer. She had to be offensive from now on.
“Devastating Red Lotus!”
She used the same attack again, but this time, there were four lotuses instead of just one or two.
The four lotuses lined up in a row and struck toward Su Mo in a straight line.
“Destroy!”
Su Mo went toward the Devastating Red Lotus instead of retreating and dealt out dozens of blows in an instant.
The streams of Sword Qi tore through the air and flew at the four lotuses.
“Rumble!”
Explosions were heard continuously as the four lotuses were destroyed in a split second by Su Mo’s attack.
“I’ll break your defense this time!”
Su Mo yelled as he rapidly approached the Ninth Princess.
“Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!”
Su Mo brandished his sword continuously, sending 33 streams of Sword Qi toward the same place.
The Ninth Princess launched another attack. As she waved her hands, countless petals appeared in the air.
“Blooming Field of Flowers!”
The countless petals turned into sharp blades and headed at Su Mo’s Sword Qi.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
However, the streams of Sword Qi were unstoppable. They tore apart the petals one after another and approached the Ninth Princess again.
At this moment, there were only nine streams of Sword Qi left.

The Sword Qi struck her instantly, and their power sent her back again and again, leaving her Blood Qi in turmoil.
“Whoosh!”
Su Mo flew above her without pausing and the Spirit-slayer Sword turned into an illusion that struck at her continuously with an outburst of sword radiance.
“Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!”
In that instant, even Su Mo was uncertain how many blows he dealt. Every single blow hit the same place on her Teal Lotus Shield.
After dozens of strikes, the Ninth Princess was almost out of breath and even her lotus shield was trembling violently.
She immediately fell back and evaded to the side, unwilling to face Su Mo’s attack head-on.
However, Su Mo was not going to let her off. He brought his strength to its peak again and dealt the most powerful attack without holding back his physical strength, Sword Will, swordsmanship, or Genuine Vitality.
“Infinite Heaven and Earth!”
The sword radiance remained with the sword instead of dispersing, allowing all the power to be gathered onto the sword. It then landed on her lotus shield again with a power that could separate heaven from the earth.
“Boom!”
“Crack!”
A deafening bang was heard, followed by a crack. With that, the Ninth Princess’ lotus shield could not last any longer and was covered with cracks instantly.
She was as pale as a sheet and her body wobbled. Although the lotus shield was not completely broken, she withstood the majority of the impact.
Su Mo’s power was so wild and powerful that her Blood Qi was roiling non-stop. Even her Genuine Vitality was almost broken apart.
“Accept your defeat!”
Su Mo continued to attack. With a tremendous force that gathered on the tip of his sword, his sword struck.
“Whoosh!”
The ray of sword radiance pierced through everything and instantaneously went through the lotus shield, which was on the verge of collapsing. The tip of the sword then stopped in front of the Ninth Princess’ fair neck.

She froze and stared at the tip of the sword in a daze.
It felt like this scene had been paused for eternity.
The crowd sighed emotionally. “The Ninth Princess has been defeated in the end!”
Su Mo was the biggest dark horse in this competition and was going to come in second place. The Ninth Princess could only be the second runner-up.
“You’ve lost!”
Su Mo gazed at her watery eyes and said with a gentle smile. He then withdrew his sword.
She was still in a daze, frowning and biting her lips tightly.
After a short while, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again.
“You’ve won!”
The Ninth Princess said coldly with a hint of sourness in her voice.
“Roar!”
As the outcome was determined, Su Mo’s Dragon Luck immediately flew out and devoured the Ninth Princess’ Dragon Luck.
His Dragon Luck then grew to the same size as Ao Wushuang’s, 286 meters long.
“You’re good!”
Su Mo nodded at her before turning to leave the fighting ring.
“Wait!”
The Ninth Princess suddenly stopped him just then.
“What’s wrong?” Su Mo was confused.
The Ninth Princess took a deep breath as she gazed at Su Mo and said, “I promised you that if you could break my defense, I’d take off my veil!”
“Oh?”
Su Mo was startled. He did not mean it before and had never expected her to take it so seriously.
He then nodded and waited for her to remove her veil.
Everyone in the spectator stands was also staring at her, waiting for her to take the veil off and reveal her true appearance.
The Ninth Princess raised her slender white hands and gently removed her veil.
As the veil came off, Su Mo’s eyes lit up in amazement.
Beautiful!
More beautiful than Su Mo had expected!
Her eyes were mesmerizing and her features were sharp. Her skin was pure as snow and her red lips were like a cherry among the snow. She was a divine beauty!
Su Mo was taken by surprise that she was as beautiful as Xi’er.
However, the Ninth Princess’ aura was totally different from Xi’er’s.
Xi’er felt pure and innocent like a village girl.
But the Ninth Princess felt like an isolated beauty that was untainted by the world.
In his previous life, people would describe Xi’er as someone more down to earth and approachable.
Meanwhile, the Ninth Princess was extremely elegant and felt like she was untouchable!
Many in the spectator stands were gaping and staring at her as well, surprised by her astounding beauty.
The Ninth Princess then quickly put her veil on again and shot a quick glance at Su Mo before returning to the spectator stands.
Su Mo shook his head and returned as well.
The competition then took a pause.
According to the rules, the next battle would happen between the Ninth Princess and Ao Wushuang.
Since she had just fought against Su Mo, a small time-out was allowed so that she could rest and replenish her energy.
About 15 minutes later,
both the Ninth Princess’ and Ao Wushuang’s tokens started vibrating as a reminder that their battle would be starting.
At this moment, she was back to her peak status again and flew into the fighting ring.
Ao Wushuang also took a step and landed in front of her.
Su Mo then diverted all his attention to the two of them. He would fight against Ao Wushuang in the next round. However, Su Mo was not confident because Ao Wushuang’s strength appeared to be unfathomable.
He was expecting to find out something about Ao Wushuang’s true strength from this fight.

I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
