Chapter 350: The Strength of a Top-Notch Genius
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Su Mo was sent flying back with one punch from Lyu Tian, his heart beating fast.
Lyu Tian’s strength had completely exceeded his expectations. The strong flames from his fist force had unmatched strength.
After sending Su Mo flying with one fist, Lyu Tian remained indifferent and did not look haughty.
Obviously, to him, defeating a Level 5 True Spirit Realm martial artist with one punch was not worthy of pride.
A slim young man heard Su Mo’s exclamation, smiled proudly, and said, “Senior Brother Lyu is the first of Dayan Domain’s List of Top 100 Talents. His strength is definitely beyond what you can imagine. You must be quite powerful to not die from a single punch!”
“The first in Dayan Domain’s List of Top 100 Talents?”
Su Mo suddenly understood that Dayan Domain might not be a big domain, but it was still one of the stronger domains in the East Continent. It was not surprising that the number one in the List of Top 100 Talents was so powerful.
“You are not part of the Cold-blood Hall?” Lyu Tian stared coldly at Su Mo and suddenly asked.
Earlier he had seen his purple-robed Junior Brother be murdered by Su Mo and drained of all his blood. He had thought it was the actions of Cold-blood Hall.
Now, he was surprised to see that Su Mo’s dressing and style of martial arts was very different from those of Cold-blood Hall.
“Cold-blood Hall!”
Su Mo raised his eyebrows. “Do people from Dayan Domain know about Cold-blood Hall too?”
Su Mo shook his head.
“It doesn’t matter if you are from Cold-blood Hall or not, if you dare to kill the people of Red Flame Sect I will kill you!” Lyu Tian said coldly.
He turned around and quickly rushed toward Su Mo.
“Get out of here!” Su Mo shouted.
The sword radiance of Spirit-slayer Sword shot up, and the sword Qi was wrapped with devestating fluctuations of strength, tearing through the air and charging violently towards Lyu Tian.

“Infinite Supremacy!”
With one move, Su Mo activated Nirvana Sword Qi. He knew that if he did not use it, he would not be able to fight against his opponent.
Within the past two days, Su Mo had successfully gathered a total of seven Nirvana Sword Qi. With the increase of his strength, the Nirvana Sword Qi was more pure, vigorous, and stronger than before.
“A small trick!” Lyu Tian scoffed in the face of Su Mo’s extremely powerful move.
“Red Flame Fist!”
He met Su Mo’s sword Qi with another move. His explosive fist force spilled forth like boiling magma, ferociously slamming into the oncoming sword Qi.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!
The sword Qi exploded swiftly and loudly. The first force appeared right in front of Su Mo in the blink of an eye.
At that critical moment, Su Mo blocked with his long sword and was once again thrown back a few kilometers.
“He’s too powerful!”
Su Mo frowned, the Qi blood in his body churning endlessly.
Lyu Tian’s strength had once again exceeded expectations and overpowered even Nirvana Sword Qi. Su Mo estimated that even if he were to use up all six remaining bursts of Nirvana Sword Qi, it would be difficult to beat him.
“It looks like I can only use my martial soul now. If the martial soul does not work, the only thing I can do escape!” Su Mo thought to himself.
“You’re pretty strong, and in Dayan Domain, you would reach the top 30!”
Lyu Tian dealt another blow.
“Devour!” Su Mo shouted in his heart to summon his Devouring Martial Soul as soon as his opponent released his fist.
At the same time, he used Nirvana Sword Qi once again and attacked with an even more terrifying sword Qi.
When Su Mo summoned his Devouring Martial Soul, Lyu Tian flinched for a short second and then bombarded Su Mo with his fist force.
However, Lyu Tian was still affected by the devouring power. As his genuine vitality descended into chaos, his punch was much weaker than before.

BOOM!
The flames from the fist and the terrifying sword Qi collided, causing a huge and violent explosion. The blast wave swept through a radius of a few kilometers, instantly flattening a few surrounding hills.
WHOOSH!
Su Mo was hit by the air blast and flew back a few hundred meters. Lyu Tian stood still in the air.
The gap between the two was clear to see.
“He’s too strong! This is the strength of a top-tier genius! There is no hope of victory!”
Su Mo did not hesitate at all and turned around. He turned into a stream of light and flashed into the distance.
“What happened?”
Lyu Tian frowned. His fist should have immediately killed Su Mo, but because his Genuine Vitality and Qi blood were in chaos, the power and strength of his fist was reduced.
“Let’s chase after him!” Lyu Tian shouted toward the slim young man, and he swiftly went after Su Mo.
The slim young man originally thought that Senior Brother Lyu would kill Su Mo instantly, so he did not prepare for his escape.
He didn’t think that Su Mo would be so strong that he could withstand several of Senior Brother Lyu’s punches.
Immediately, the slim young man joined in the chase.
WHOOSH!
Su Mo was flying extremely fast between the clouds, tearing apart the air with a whistling sound.
At this moment, he was not looking too good. He did not expect the gap to be so big after he had broken into Level 5 True Spirit Realm, even though he knew he was not as talented as the other top-tier geniuses.
However, the reality was completely different from what he had imagined. The number one from a middle-ranged domain List of Top 100 Talents was able to crush him, and that’s not to mention the four big domains!
His opponent’s strength was so much greater than his that even the Devouring Martial Soul was unable to do much damage to him. With the use of the Devouring Martial Soul, he only managed to prolong his defeat. However, it would be too difficult to defeat his opponent.
Even if he were to release the strongest form of the Devouring Martial Soul, he might not be able to defeat his opponent, as it was obvious his opponent did not use his full strength.
Most importantly, Su Mo had a limited amount of Nirvana Sword Qi bursts and did not want to waste time-fighting to the death.
“You can’t escape!” Lyu Tian shouted coldly, appearing in a wave of fire that rushed toward Su Mo.
Su Mo sneered. Even though he was not comparable to him, with his Devouring Martial Soul, his opponent would not kill him easily.
SWISH!
Su Mo sent a kilometer-long burst of sword Qi at Lyu Tian.
BOOM!
The sword Qi was easily destroyed by Lyu Tian. However his body was slightly blocked, creating more distance between him and Su Mo.
Su Mo maxed out his speed and escaped swiftly. He would occasionally turn around and send sharp bursts of sword Qi behind his back.
However, Lyu Tian and the slim young man were a lot faster than he was. After an hour, Su Mo was still unable to lose the two of them.
Not far ahead were long winding mountain ranges, and on the mountains were old tall trees that covered the sun. These were the Barbaric Mountains.
Su Mo sped up and rushed into the mountains.
“If I can devour these two, my strength would definitely increase!”
Running into the mountains, Su Mo’s heart was not filled with worry, and he instead felt more confident.
He did not enjoy being chased and could not wait to devour them. However, Lyu Tian was too strong, and that the other person was not weak either. Devouring them would be easier said than done.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
