Chapter 710: The Barbaric Mountains
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
After Su Mo left the island, he immediately tore apart the space to travel to the Central Continent.
He used his Mind to check the Divine Map’s Space and found out that the three Hall Chiefs had arranged for the sect members to sit at the foot of a mountain. Everybody was cultivating with their legs crossed.
Nobody entered the stone house or its courtyard because they knew that it was Su Mo’s residence.
A mountain range lay between the Central Continent and the East Continent. It was 4,000,000 kilometers long and was adjacent to a dozen domains of the East Continent.
After eight days, Su Mo arrived at a small domain called the Tree Domain.
Although the Tree Domain was not huge, it was still larger than the Hong Domain, and after crossing it, he would enter the Barbaric Mountains.
He did not stop traveling. When his Dark Force was just about exhausted, he broke out of the space rift and then traveled through the Spiritual Sword.
And when his Dark Force had fully recovered, he continued to travel in the space.
He had crossed through the Tree Domain in half a day, and now a vast mountain range lay before him.
He stopped and took a look over.
The mountain range was endless. There were numerous towering peaks that stretched into the clouds and countless 300-meter-tall ancient trees.
An aura of desolation and vastness blew on his face and made him feel like he entered the realm of the ancient times.
Su Mo murmured, “Are these the Barbaric Mountains?”
He then felt a dangerous aura, as if numerous fierce beasts were lurking there.
After which, he took a deep breath and rushed like lightning into the mountain range.

Even if it was dangerous in these mountains, he would not stop.
To avoid the demonic beasts, he had been flying high above the clouds.
“Crack!”
He continued to travel through the space, covering 5,000 kilometers in a short while.
“Chirp!”
At this point, the harsh cry of a bird arose. And even though Su Mo was still in the space, he heard it clearly.
“Oh no!”
A sense of danger rushed into his heart, and he immediately broke out of the space rift.
Behind him, an explosion burst out with numerous electric arcs that crawled like thunder snakes.
Su Mo was shocked as he discovered a giant bird with at least a 300-meter-wide wingspan charging toward him.
The giant bird looked incredibly handsome, and his body was glistening with lightning and had a thunderous power that was emanating in every direction.
“The Thunder Bird!”
Su Mo was surprised to see the legendary Thunder Bird!
It was said that it only lived in the post-archean times. It did not occur to him that it existed in the Barbaric Mountains!
But to his surprise, it was only a Class 9 Lv 5 demonic beast.
Even so, it was able to break the space before reaching Lv 6! This must be a talented bird indeed.
“Swish!”
The bird opened its mouth while flying, spurting out a millstone-sized thunder ball.
The thunder ball contained horrible power and moved extremely fast toward Su Mo.
“Get lost!”
Su Mo barked and swung his Sky-crushing Sword.
The dazzling four-colored Sword Qi met the thunder ball violently.
“Boom!”
The Sword Qi and thunder ball crashed together and both were smashed to bits.
“That’s really remarkable!”
Su Mo was slightly surprised that the power of this thunder ball was close to that of a Lv 1 Martial King Realm expert.

“Die!”
Su Mo was not in the mood to fight. He merged his Dark Force again and swung out a massive three-colored Sword Qi.
“Pfft!”
Blood splashed in the air like drops of rain. The Thunder Bird was cut into two pieces.
Su Mo did not halt but simply continued his journey.
However, he decided to ride on the Spiritual Sword instead of traveling through the space again.
If he were to be attacked by a formidable Lv 6 demonic beast, he could be destroyed directly in the space before he could get out.
It was safer to travel in an ordinary way, despite the fact that it was much slower.
He exerted the Ghostly Magic Sight, which then surged to make his eyesight 10 times stronger.
And every time that he spotted formidable beasts, he detoured around them to avoid being attacked.
Although it took much more time to travel this way, he remained safe.
During his flight, he had spotted a dozen Lv 6 demonic beasts in a row, two of which were even high-leveled. He was scared as hell and he fled far away from them.
The Ghostly Magic Sight Martial Soul was so helpful on this journey!
Without it, he would have had a series of big fights with the Lv 6 beasts.
This day’s journey was scary but not dangerous. He had traveled tens of thousands of kilometers in the Barbaric Mountains.
“Rumble!”
All of a sudden, he heard a huge noise rise up from afar.
“Could it be a battle between formidable beasts?”
Su Mo was confused and decided to avoid it, but he suddenly stopped.
Fights between demonic beasts were usually for territories or treasures. Su Mo changed his mind and wanted to check it out.
There might be some precious treasures there!
Anyway, he now had this incredible eyesight that could help him see the situation clearly without having to close in.
He then flew toward the source of that noise.
Although the noise had not sounded like it was too far away, it still took him 15 minutes to get close to it.
“Rumble!”
Intense explosions burst forth continuously and shocked everything around them.
From those noises, it sounded like it was a fight between Martial Royal Realm martial artists, or Peak Martial King Realm martial artists at the least.
“What kind of demonic beasts are they? They’re so horrifying!”
The fight made his hair stand on end.
He then exerted the Ghostly Magic Sight to its extreme and saw two figures fighting in the air far away.
A massive shockwave made the peaks beneath them collapse. A towering ancient tree was turned into dust, while the nearby demonic beasts were scared and ran away from them madly.
“It’s not a fight between the demonic beasts!”
Su Mo was surprised to discover that two human martial artists were fighting.
Su Mo murmured, “Is it a member from the Corpse Hall?”
The Cold-blood Hall had launched attacks in the East Continent recently. The Martial Royal Realm experts from the other superpowers had to take part in the war.
Therefore, Su Mo assumed that a Corpse Hall member was fighting against a Martial Royal Realm expert.
The Cold-blood Hall members practiced blood cultivation skills, and when they fought, there would be massive Blood Qi. However, there was no Blood Qi in this fight, hence it should be a Corpse Hall member.
Su Mo landed in the woods and moved stealthily for hundreds of kilometers. Finally, he was just barely able to identify the two figures.
“Qian Xunyue and Zuoqiu Ting!”

The Swarm
Anthony had been looking forward to playing the hottest new virtual reality game. When he put the VR helmet on he was met with a prompt asking him if he wanted to take a test to become a swarm knight. Thinking that this was one of the classes in the game he accepted. Instead of finding himself in the game, Anthony found that he was transported to a different planet. A planet where he would learn the greater truth of the universe. Everything was based on magic in the universe. Except that magic was based on nanorobots, called the swarm, that had been created through highly advanced technology. Genetics determined the access level and the amount of control that someone could wield over the swarm, and therefore their status in this society. Long ago Earth had been cutoff from the swarm. Now that it had been rediscovered, Earth would be reintegrated into the swarm. Unfortunately when that happened all the current technology on Earth would fail and be replaced with the ability to use magic. In effect, it would be the system apocalypse. As someone able to control the swarm, Anthony found himself in the unique position to influence how Earth was reintegrated into the swarm. Perhaps he could change things enough to save most of the people on Earth. But first he would have to learn how to control the swarm and become one of the leaders in the society he found himself in. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it somewhere between PG-13 and R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, and nudity.
