There were many places in Ancient-treasure City that shone with the light from formations. They were clearly some sort of treasure spot and would surely contain treasure within.

Su Mo did not head toward these places, but followed Teal Fire King all the way to an ancient palace left in ruins.

This ancient palace was extremely vast, easily filling up a space of dozens of kilometers. It was antique and simple, shaped like a palace, but was built from an unknown stone that left it with a green cast all over.

This ancient palace had sustained heavy damage and a part of it at already collapsed. The rest of the palace looked like it was also on the verge of collapsing.

The ancient palace was bustling with activity, with many martial artists gathering here. They all seemed to know that this was a treasure spot and wanted to search for treasures here.

“Master, this place used to be the palace of one of the powers in ancient times. It has been looted of all its treasures, but there is an exquisite treasure inside the great hall that no one has been able to obtain thus far!” Teal Fire King said.

Su Mo nodded, then charged into the ancient palace.

This dragon seat was as big as a double bed and glowed with dazzling golden light.

Realistic flying dragons were carved onto the chair and two huge dragon heads were carved onto the handles of the same chair.

It gave off an air of overpowering dominance, as though only an Emperor surveying his empire would have the authority to sit on it.

There was a young man in white who was slowly climbing up the stairs toward the dragon seat.

SIlence filled the hall as the crowd watched that young man’s progress intently.

“Jiang Fengran?” Su Mo’s brows rose as recognition filled him. That young man in white was known as the Son of the Wind, a Supreme Talent named Jiang Fengran.

“Teal Fire King, could you tell me more about this dragon seat?” Su Mo asked.

“Master, this dragon seat is known as the Emperor’s Throne!” Teal Fire King said with a smile.

“Emperor’s Throne?” Su Mo muttered. It did look rather extraordinary, but he was not interested.

He had no interest in any other treasure; his top priority now was to find the Dark Stone.

Su Mo was angered by Teal Fire King’s antics. He had already told the latter that he wanted to find the Dark Stone, yet Teal Fire King led him to this place.

Teal Fire King then continued, “This Emperor’s Throne is rather extraordinary. It is said that whoever manages to sit on it would gain the Martial Emperor Realm Qualification. Thus, this person would have a high chance of becoming a Martial Emperor.”

“Really?” Su Mo said with some surprise.

“Whoever manages to sit on this Emperor’s Throne would be able to become Martial Emperor in the future?”

“Was this a joke?”

There was no Martial Emperor across the entire Firmament and Continent today. The strongest experts were all of Emperor-to-be cultivation.

“Has anyone managed to sit on this throne?” Su Mo asked curiously.

The stairs leading up to the Emperor’s Throne looked deceptively long, but there were only 33 stairs to the top. Jiang Fengran had already climbed 17 at this point.

He walked very slowly and had to pause for a few breaths before he took the next step. His speed started to slow down even more the further he climbed.

After Jiang Fengran had climbed the 20th step, he paused for dozens of breaths before he took his next step.

A while later, Jiang Fengran had climbed up the 30th step and was now 3 steps away from the top.
