Chapter 940: Fari Competition
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Su Mo felt empty while looking at her closed eyes.
He gained nothing from this battle. Although he had defeated Shangguan Hao and canceled the marriage, Qian Xunyue died and Hong Qingxuan was captured.
He murmured, “It’s all my fault!”
“Whoosh!”
A figure approached him. It was Deputy Hall Chief Hu from the Craftsmanship Hall of the Sky-sea Pavilion.
He said in a deep voice, “Su Mo, let me see.”
Su Mo nodded silently.
Then, Deputy Hall Chief Hu ran a slight amount of Dark Force and checked her out.
After a short while, he sighed and said, “Her life had gone. I can’t do a thing!”
Su Mo’s heart fell to his feet upon hearing this.
“But, she was not completely dead. Her spiritual consciousness is still there, and it’s extremely strong.”
“What?”
“Senior, is there a way to save her?” Su Mo asked hurriedly.
Deputy Hall Chief Hu shook his head and said in a deep voice, “Only a Martial Emperor Realm expert can save her. But there is none.”
“Martial Emperor Realm expert!” A bitterness appeared on his face.
The hope was gone.
“Then how long can her spiritual consciousness last?”
“She is a Martial Royal Realm expet, so her spiritual consciousness is strong. It depends on her will. If her will is weak, it will dissipate in ten days. If her will is strong, it will last about a year or so.”
Su Mo nodded upon hearing this. There was s silver lining.
If he can reach the Martial Emperor Realm within a year, there was hope.
However, it was impossible.
Su Mo was only at Lv 3 Martial King Realm. It was just too far from the Martial Emperor Realm.

Moreover, there had not been a Martial Emperor Realm expert in the Firmament World for countless years.
But sill, there was hope.
“Thank you for saving me!” Su Mo paid his gratitude. He could have been killed without this man.
“It’s nothing. You are welcome!”
Deputy Hall Chief Hu shook his head and said, “Su Mo, when will you go to the Sky-sea Pavilion? Me and Deputy Pavilion Leader Qian will be waiting for you.”
Deputy Hall Chief Hu looked at Su Mo with keen eyes. He was so desperate to get the craft method of the Natal Spiritual Sword.
Su Mo said, “I’ll go there after I finish the business here.”
Su Mo knew why this man saved him.
However, it did not matter since this man saved his life.
“Good!” Deputy Hall Chief Hu nodded and smiled.
In fact, he was not worried if Su Mo did not visit them. Nobody could escape from the Sky-sea Pavilion’s eyes.
Of course, he dared not to offend Su Mo since Su Mo was a disciple of the 13th Elder and had a master who was an Imperial Craftsman.
Su Mo and Deputy Hall Chief Hu descended on the square.
The Emperor Xuan Palace members were seeing the guests out.
Almost everyone glanced at Su Mo for one more second before they left.
They had never been shocked like this before.
Everyone thought that Su Mo would definitely be the strongest of this world if he was not killed.
Su Mo’s name would rise, and he would be the most famous one among the younger generation.
“Su Mo, follow me to the Inner Palace!”
Di Shi said, “Hao’er, you too.”
He then flew to the Inner Palace.
Shangguan Hao looked blank. He glazed at Su Mo and left.

“Swoosh!”
The 13th Elder flashed in front of Su Mo.
Despite the fact that 13th Elder only mentored Su Mo for one day, he still regarded the 13th Elder as his master.
“Su Mo, you are beyond my expectations!”
“Don’t worry, Di Shi would do you no harm, and you will be a disciple of the Emperor Xuan Palace.”
Su Mo nodded. He did not care about the title, it would be fine if Di Shi did not punish him.
“Let’s go to the Inner Palace!”
They then flew to the Inner Palace.
In the Conference Hall of the Inner Palace of the Emperor Xuan Palace.
Di Shi sat on his seat of honor, and a dozen elders were seated on his lower.
These elders ranked top 20s in the Emperor Xuan Palace, and they were all distinguished and powerful.
Su Mo and Shangguan Hao stood in the center of the hall.
“Su Mo, since you a disciple of my Emperor Xuan Palace, you should do your best to serve us.” Di Shi said in a deep voice.
“I will do what I can for the Emperor Xuan Palace!”
Su Mo did not refuse. He knew that Di Shi was just letting him make a stance.
As for contributing to the to Emperor Xuan Palace, it depended on his mood.
“Good!”
Di Shi smiled and said, “As for you and Xi’er, I won’t interfere anymore.”
Di Shi then looked at Shangguan Hao, saying “Hao’er, winning or losing, it doesn’t matter. You have a long way to go.”
Shangguan Hao kept silent as his eye glittered.
Di Shi paused for a while and continued, “Your marriage with Xi’er is over. You can have a fair competition with Su Moif you love her.”
“Aye, master!”
Shangguan Hao bowed to Di Shi, but his eyes glittered a sense of viciousness.
Fair competition?
Everybody knew that Xi’er loved Su Mo. How could it be fair?
It was impossible.
Shangguan Hao was pissed off so badly. Xi’er was his fiancee.
Di Shi was giving his fiancee away only because he was defeated by Su Mo!

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
