Chapter 946: Going Crazy!
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
After a discussion on forging the Dark Sky Spiritual Coffin with Deputy Hall Chief Hu, Su Mo and Xi’er decided to stay at Sky-sea Pavilion temporarily.
He would only leave Sky-sea Pavilion after the Dark Sky Spiritual Coffin is completed.
Su Mo and Xi’er were chit chatting in her room.
“Xi’er, we’ll stay here for the time being!” Su Mo said.
“Hm, Brother Su Mo, I’ll follow your arrangements!” Xi’er smiled. She did not have any opinions.
The two chatted for a while more before he returned to his room to start cultivating.
Su Mo’s current cultivation was already at Lv 3 Martial King Realm, but his cultivation was still not solid enough, hence he could not break through to Lv 4 yet.
Moreover, he had run out of Spiritual Stones to devour.
Su Mo sat cross-legged, closed his eyes and worked on the Grand Chaos Five Elements Skill. He worked hard on condensing his Dark Force in order to solidify his foundation.
Time flew while he cultivated and soon, ten days had passed.
During this period, Su Mo did not really cultivate all the time. He brought Xi’er out to shop around Heaven-sea City as well.
However, people started recognizing him and even caused a small commotion.
Eventually, Su Mo had no choice, but to return to Sky-sea Pavilion.
He was already a man on the headlines in the whole city. His portrait was even distributed by some people. Hence, he was easily recognized, especially with his white hair, which made him even more distinct.
Ten days had passed and Su Mo was getting anxious. Theoretically speaking, if Sky-sea Pavilion had all the required materials, the coffin should be done in ten days.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
On this day, someone knocked on Su Mo’s door. Su Mo stopped cultivating and opened the door, revealing a young craftsman.
“Supervisor Su, Deputy Pavilion Leader would like you to come over!” the young craftsman said.

“Deputy Pavilion Leader?” Su Mo was surprised. “Isn’t he Deputy Pavilion Leader Qian who defended me at Emperor Xuan Palace last time?”
“Show me the way!” Su Mo said.
He then followed the young craftsman.
They left the Craftsmanship Hall. After making a few turns within the headquarters in Sky-sea Pavilion, they finally reached a hall.
“Supervisor Su, Deputy Pavilion Leader is inside the hall. Please!” the young craftsman said.
Su Mo nodded and walked into the hall.
There were only three people in the vast hall.
Deputy Pavilion Leader Qian sat at the main seat with two elderly men sitting to his right, slightly below him. One of them was Deputy Hall Chief Hu while the other slender elder looked a lot older than him.
Upon seeing Deputy Pavilion Leader Hu, Su Mo guessed that probably the Dark Sky Spiritual Coffin was completed.
“Greetings, Deputy Pavilion Leader Qian!” Su Mo cupped his hands and greeted the man.
“Hehe! Su Mo, please take a seat!” Deputy Pavilion Leader Qian waved his hand and smiled.
“Thank you!” Su Mo took a seat opposite Deputy Hall Chief Hu.
Deputy Pavilion Leader Qian pondered and smiled, “Su Mo, the treasure which you have requested Elder Hu to forge has been completed after ten days!”
“It is successful?” Su Mo was delighted as he turned his head and looked at Elder Hu.
Elder Hu smiled and casually waved his sleeve, and a crystal coffin appeared.
The coffin was less than three meters long and one meter wide. It was as if it were made of jade and was pure and flawless.
The coffin was engraved with many strange runes. It was transparent and diffused a white jade hazy halo.
“It’s indeed the Dark Sky Spiritual Coffin!” Su Mo stepped forward and scrutinized the crystal coffin while nodding his head silently.
The Dark Sky Spiritual Coffin was exactly like the one described in the craftsmanship Legacy.

Su Mo heaved a sigh of relief. The Dark Sky Spiritual Coffin would be able to sustain Qian Xunyue for another hundred years, not to mention another year.
“Many thanks, Elder Hu!” Su Mo showed his gratitude immediately.
Deputy Hall Chief Hu waved his hand and said, “Su Mo, this coffin can be completed successfully all because of the Hall Chief’s help.”
After saying that, Deputy Hall Chief Hu pointed to the elderly beside him and introduced, “This is Hall Chief Yi from the Craftsmanship Hall.”
“Many thanks, Hall Chief Yi!” Su Mo expressed his gratitude to the elder.
Hall Chief Yi’s wrinkled eyelid raised slightly. He smiled amicably, and said, “Su Mo my friend, no need to thank me. I heard you have a Master who’s an Imperial Craftsman. I would like to meet him.”
Hall Chief Yi came straight to the point and expressed his desire.
“Hall Chief Yi, my master is traveling and I’m afraid it’s impossible to look for him at this moment.”
Su Mo shook his head and said. His craftsman master was Ou Lianzi, but he had been dead for centuries. So, he could only evade the question.
“So, when will he be back?” Hall Chief Yi asked again.
“I’m not sure!” Su Mo shook his head.
Hall Chief Yi sighed and looked disappointed.
Upon seeing this, Su Mo pondered, then he took out a jade slip and said, “Hall Chief Yi, Elder Hu, this is a gift of appreciation to both of you to show my gratitude!”
He had already prepared the gift. He would hand it to Deputy Hall Chief Hu once the coffin was completed.
Hall Chief Yi wanted to meet his master in order to learn more profound craftsmanship.
Su Mo believed the jade slip would definitely satisfy both of them.
When Deputy Hall Chief Hu saw Su Mo taking out the jade slip, his eyes shone brightly. As if he were lecher who had seen a beautiful woman, he couldn’t help wiggling his throat.
However, with Hall Chief Yi around, he did not dare to take it first.
At this moment, Hall Chief Yi held up his hand and said, “Su Mo, the gift is not necessary. Bringing me to meet your master when he’s back would be the best way to show your gratitude.”
Hall Chief Yi had no idea the kind of gift Su Mo presented and was not aware of how profound Su Mo’s craftsmanship was, hence, he rejected it.
To a master craftsman like Hall Chief Yi, other than a higher profound craftsmanship, there was nothing else that could really move him.
Upon hearing this, Deputy Hall Chief Hu’s face turned. He knew the value of his jade slip because Su Mo had imparted his knowledge to him once.
In his eyes, Su Mo’s jade slip was a priceless treasure, even if you had billions of supreme spiritual stones, you still wouldn’t able to buy the treasure.
Yet Hall Chief Yi had rejected such priceless treasure!
Deputy Hall Chief Hu grew anxious, but since Hall Chief Yi had already rejected the gift, it would be embarrassing for him to take it as a subordinate.
“This…Hall Chief, Su Mo has good intention, we should accept it!” Deputy Hall Chief Hu said immediately.
However, he was being reprimanded by Hall Chief Yi.
“Lil Hu, you are already an elder, yet you still hanker after a junior’s gift!” Hall Chief Yi was slightly angered and reprimanded him.
Hall Chief Yi wanted Su Mo to owe him a favor so that he would introduce his master to him.
Deputy Hall Chief Hu was going crazy. It felt as if there were 10,000 horses running through his mind.

Of Gods and Dungeons
March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.

I'm not really good at writing. I just have some few ideas that I want to bring to life. Also, patience is not my virtue so I tend to overpower my characters too quickly.
