Chapter 1205 I hope the Craftsmen“s Guild will not interfere in our affairs
The fourth floor of the Craftsmen’s Guild.
Su Mo stood erect near a giant crafting furnace in a large forge.
Five craftsmen from the Guild sat before him, Steward Chai among them.
Among these five, Steward Chai and two other elderly craftsmen were of the Honorable class.
The other two were middle-aged men. Judging by the sign on their chests, they were Imperial Craftsmen.
“Young friend, I hope you will pass the test today!”
Steward Chai looked at Su Mo from top to toe with a big smile and exclaimed, “There have never been a man as young as you who is able to become an Imperial Craftsman in Star Beiling. This is also rare in Ancientspirit Galaxy. I hope you will surprise me today!”
Steward Chai sincerely hoped that Su Mo would pass the test, so that their branch could boast of a genius with outstanding craftsmanship.
The other four craftsmen also looked at Su Mo curiously. They had heard about him from Steward Chai three days ago: a young man under 30 would participate in the test.
“Ha ha! I won’t let you down!” Su Mo smiled.
“Well, we’d better stop talking now. The test starts now!”
Steward Chai nodded and added, “The materials to forge a Profound Ax are all in this furnace beside you.”
“Alright!” Su Mo nodded. He glanced at the giant furnace and pondered for a while before saying, “Steward Chai, can I use my own crafting furnace?”
The crafting furnace next to him was a special furnace prepared by the Guild for the test. It was of high quality—an Honorable Class crafting furnace.
Technically speaking, the higher the quality of the crafting furnace, the higher the success rate.
However, it was not the case for Su Mo.

He had always used an Imperial Class crafting furnace to forge a Profound Ax. He was used to it. If he switched to an unfamiliar furnace, he might not succeed.
As a result, he needed his own crafting furnace.
“It looks like you have a better crafting forge. Of course you can!” Steward Chai nodded. He thought that Su Mo did not want to use their furnace because it was not good enough.
Su Mo did not explain. He took out the materials and his own furnace and prepared to forge.
Steward Chai and the other four craftsmen were dumbstruck by his furnace.
They found that Su Mo’s furnace was only of the Imperial Class.
They were surprised that Su Mo chose an inferior furnace over a better one!
Why was he so confident?
Steward Chai and the others wondered to themselves.
Su Mo started the forging procedure by sorting out his materials.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Suddenly, there were impatient knockings on the door.
Steward Chai frowned slightly. No one was allowed to disrupt the craftsmanship test. Someone was clearly ignoring the rule!
“Come in!” Steward Chai was slightly angry and shouted.
Creak!
Several apprentices opened the door and stepped in.
These apprentices were selling weapons on the first floor. Lu Yun was among them.
Behind them was a middle-aged man with a mustache.
Su Mo’s heart sank upon seeing this, and he wanted to release Wu Xian immediately.
The middle-aged man with a mustache was Wu Fan, an Honorable from the Sorcerer Tribe.
The minute Wu Fan stepped into the room, he immediately saw Su Mo. His eyes glittered with a murderous intent.
However, he did not make a move since his cultivation was relatively ordinary in the Craftsmen’s Guild.
“Steward Chai, this Honorable from the Sorcerer Tribe would like to see you!” Lu Yun cupped a fist in a hand and saluted Steward Chai. He quickly glanced at Su Mo, a mysterious look on his face.

He already knew that Su Mo was an enemy of the Sorcerer Tribe. They bore grudges against each other. No wonder Su Mo had asked about the Sorcerer Tribe.
Wu Fan gave a treasure to each of the apprentices after he entered the Guild. That was the reason why they had brought him here at once.
For Lu Yun, the most important thing was to receive benefits. He did not care about his relationship with Su Mo at all.
Furthermore, he did not want So Mo to become a member of the Guild as he had received many financial benefits from him. Su Mo would probably make him return them after becoming a Guild member.
“Brother Su, please don’t blame me!” Lu Yun sneered in his heart.
“The Sorcerer Tribe?”
Steward Chai was baffled. Sizing him up from head to toe, he asked, “What could I do for you?”
After hearing this, Wu Fan saluted Steward Chai and said, “Steward, I’m here today because of one man.”
Wu Fan was very polite to Steward Chai. It was not only because Steward Chai was an Honorable Class craftsman, but also because his own cultivation was much lower than Steward Chai’s.
That was why he had remained polite and did not dare to take any action against Su Mo.
“Who?” Steward Chai asked.
“Him!” Wu Fan pointed at Su Mo, his eyes glittering with cold light. “He is the enemy of our tribe. He slaughtered nearly a thousand junior geniuses from our tribe!”
“What?” Hearing his words, all the five craftsmen and the apprentices were astounded.
Did he really kill a thousand junior geniuses of the Sorcerer Tribe?
How could it be?
Although Lu Yun and other apprentices knew that Su Mo was an enemy of the Sorcerer Tribe, they did not realize what grudges they bore against each other—until now!
Su Mo’s face looked grim and he became tense.
If this situation changed, he would run away immediately or use Wu Xian as a hostage.
Right now, he could not release Wu Xian. If he took a woman as his hostage instead, the whole Guild would despise him.
“Is this true?” Steward Chai looked at Su Mo, skeptical.
“The Sorcerer Tribe wants to kill me. I did what I did to defend myself!” Su Mo said. He did not deny since a denial would not help.
“Steward, this man has just admitted!”
Wu Fan lowered his voice, his eyes full of murderous intent. “Therefore, I need to catch this man. I hope the Craftsmen’s Guild won’t interfere in our affairs!”
Actually, Wu Fan was not sure if he could capture Su Mo, since he was holding Wu Xian hostage.
However, he would trap Su Mo first before figuring out the next step even if he could not capture him.
What troubled him most was that the affair would become complicated if the Guild was involved!
After hearing this, Su Mo communicated with the Divine Map in his mind. If something happened, he would mentally release Wu Xian from the Divine Map.
He had not run away since he clearly knew he could not. He was now simply waiting for Steward Chai’s reaction.
If Steward Chai would not get involved, he would use Wu Xian as a diversion and run away as fast as he could.
Steward Chai frowned and began to ponder. He did not want to become an enemy of the Sorcerer Tribe but he also valued Su Mo’s talent.
A young craftsman under 30!
No one with such talent had ever been found in Star Beiling!

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

It Sucks Being a Side Character
Beat the bad guy, save the day, get the girl. These are the three steps of success every good Hero strives for. But for Lee, those three things are an impossible bucket list. For a side character, there's no beating the bad guy, there's no saving the day, and there's definitely no getting the girl!As a side character in a typical Shonen story, all that awaits Lee is loss, cliches, filler arcs, and a whole lot of cheering the protagonist along from the sidelines. Can Lee change his destiny in a group full of walking tropes? Or will he be stuck watching from the sidelines? Only one thing is for sure, it sucks being a side character!
