Chapter 1283: Going Separate Ways

Su Mo did not return to his living quarters after the fight, but he headed instead towards Earth Pagoda.

The three days had had asked for were only a pretence to stall for time. He wanted to focus his energies on cultivating the Heaven Combining Ghost Skill.

He was not even done transforming his Dark Force for the Heaven Combining Ghost Skill, thus achieving Rank 1 skill level was still far away.

However, this skill was already strong. Su Mo even considered using his own personal body cultivate the skill.

He did not ponder the thought any further. He would make his decision only after this matter with the Sorcerer Tribe has been settled.

Not long later, he arrived once again at Earth Pagoda, only this time, he went onto the second level.

The second level was a mirror image of the first, the only difference was that there were fewer cultivation rooms and therefore fewer people.

It was good that there were many empty rooms when Su Mo arrived. He headed straight into one of the nearest cultivation rooms.

Closing the door, he then sat down cross-legged.

With a wave of his hand, two storage rings appeared. They were Wu Lie and Wu Yu’er’s storage rings.

He quickly took a hold of their storage rings. He even took Wu Yu’er’s long sword.

After rifling through the contents of their storage rings, Su Mo was very pleased. There were more than two thousand lower level Spiritual Crystals and plenty of other treasures hidden inside.

Su Mo was too lazy to carefully check through all of the contents in the rings. With only a simple glance through them, he kept the two rings for himself.

Following which, he took out around a dozen lower level Spiritual Crystals and placed them in the array in the room. The array was immediately activated.

The arrays in the cultivation room consumed the Spiritual Crystals quickly. The arrays on the first level, however, could last a whole day with a single Spiritual Crystal.

In contrast, a Spiritual Crystal could only activate the arrays in the second level rooms for a mere two hours.

Once the array had been activated, dense Spiritual Qi would flow out and fill the entire cultivation room

In order to avoid making a scene again, Su Mo did not dare to blatantly use the Devouring Fighting Soul, and only activated it slightly.

The dense Spiritual Qi entered him and Su Mo immediately closed his eyes and began cultivating the Heaven Combining Ghost Skill.

A few moments later, his body filled with Ghost force and he radiated Black Qi. This was a startling sight, as he looked as though he had transformed into an evil ghost.

However, after just a few moments of cultivating, Su Mo suddenly opened his eyes and stopped.

His face was completely serious. The Spiritual Qi in this air was very dense. It would be a waste if his original body did not cultivate in this environment.

His original body was his true home. As for this body of Wu Chen, he could abandon it any time he wanted.

That being said, was it possible to cultivate two bodies at the same time?

Su Mo waved his hands and allowed his original body to be released from his storage ring.

He then allowed his will to be channelled into his body, and tried to cultivate his original body this way.

Unfortunately, after a few trials, he let out a heavy sigh. It was completely impossible!

One will was simply not sufficient to allow his original body to cultivate normally.

“Forget it! Let’s just increase this body’s power!” Su Mo said to himself, shaking his head. He then prepared to store his original body.

“Su Mo, this method of yours would never work!” the Flaming Ghost Sage’s voice filled Su Mo’s head.

“Senior Ghost Sage, do you have any idea how I can let my original body cultivate with me?” Su Mo asked in a serious tone.

“Yes!” the Flaming Ghost Sage confidently replied.

“Oh? With what method?” continued Su Mo, immediately excited. There would be nothing better than allowing his two bodies to cultivate simultaneously.

“Let’s refine this current body of yours into an avatar!” exclaimed Flaming Ghost Sage.

“Avatar?”

Su Mo’s eyes lit up and he anxiously asked, “How do I turn it into an avatar?”

If he could actually create this avatar, it would be of great benefit to him.

However, a real avatar would not be an illusion, it would always exist.

Flaming Ghost Sage was silent for a moment, then, he said, “I have my own method, but your situation is different from mine so we will use a special method for you!”

“What special method?” Su Mo asked curiously.

“You have a large amount of Fighting Souls within you. You can try creating an independent avatar that has an independent Fighting Soul!” Flaming Ghost Sage replied seriously.

Su Mo’s heart jumped in realization, he understood what Flaming Ghost Sage meant.

Flaming Ghost Sage had proposed that he let Wu Chen’s body be an avatar that is occupied by an individual Fighting Soul.

“This… Is this possible?” Su Mo was uncertain. If this worked, he could refine many avatars that were all individually strong.

Dang! If he had to fight another person, he could simply unleash a few dozen or even hundreds of his avatars. In this case, could he ever lose?

“Not sure! But it makes sense in my mind, you can try the method I just told you!” Flaming Ghost Sage shrugged.

Su Mo turned silent. He definitely wanted this avatar, but he was still pondering over what the Flaming Ghost Sage said.

The Flaming Ghost Sage had already willingly imparted the valuable Ghost Class Heaven Combining Ghost Skill, and now he shared the method to create avatars. These skills would increase Su Mo’s power exponentially, which would pave the way for him to become a peak martial artist.

Why would Flaming Ghost Sage happily share this knowledge?

A selfless act of giving?

Su Mo was highly doubtful. The Ghost Sage definitely had a hidden agenda, it just couldn’t be this simple.

Realizing Su Mo’s silence, Flaming Ghost Sage asked, “What? You don’t believe my words?”

“It is not that I don’t believe you, I am just considering the likelihood of success in creating this avatar.” Su Mo did not confess his doubts.

“Su Mo, I told you about the method to create your avatar. How about you free me after you leave the Sorcerer Tribe?” Flaming Ghost Sage earnestly requested.

“Let you go?” Su Mo was doubtful. The Flaming Ghost Sage was a valuable wealth of knowledge, he would never let go of him.

Flaming Ghost Sage solemnly continued, “You can rest assured. There is nothing wrong with everything that I have imparted to you, you can just cultivate it directly.”

After some silence, Su Mo nodded his head and said, “Ok, I promise you. I will let you go once we leave the Sorcerer Tribe!”

Although Su Mo did not completely trust the Ghost Sage, he did not worry too much. It was true that he had learned the Ghost Skill from the Ghost Sage, but it was only this body of Wu Chen that managed to cultivate it.

His original body did not cultivate anything from the Ghost Sage. If there was something wrong, his original body would not be affected.

He agreed to the Ghost Sage’s request. The Ghost Sage had helped him greatly and he truly had no intention of keeping the Ghost Sage locked up forever.

“Good! I hope you will keep to your words!”

The Flaming Ghost Sage was slightly emotional, yet he continued, “The method I told you to create an avatar, you can try cultivating it yourself!”

“Creating an avatar requires a Splitting Spiritual Soul, and you have many Fighting Souls… !”

The Flaming Ghost Sage proceeded to explain carefully how to create his avatar, emphasising the key points Su Mo had to remember.

This avatar creation was not hard, it just required a Splitting Spiritual Soul to let the avatar have his own independent mind, but still be subjected to the control of the original creator.

Of course, since Su Mo had a lot of Fighting Souls, he had to alter a step in the method to let Wu Chen’s body have its own Fighting Soul.

Finally, Su Mo had a thorough understanding of how to create his avatar after hearing the Ghost Sage’s words.

He did not start creating his avatar right away. Instead, he stored his original body and continued cultivating the Heaven Combining Ghost Skill within Wu Chen.

He had to prioritize other issues for now, as he still had a battle against numerous warriors of the Sorcerer Tribe in just three days!

This was his time to make a name for himself, though admittedly as Wu Chen, and also his moment to rise to power within the Sorcerer tribe.

Time flew by in the cultivation room, and the day of the battle was upon him in a flash.
