Chapter 1391: To Strike A Rock With An Egg?
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
Wu Ren Wang felt that it was highly probable that Su Mo had some rare treasure in his hands. If not, there was no other explanation as to why he was so calm.
However, with the large difference in ranks between them, ordinary treasures and weapons would not be able to make up for the gap between them.
“I am stronger than you, of course I am confident!” Su Mo said expressionlessly.
“Ha ha ha!!”
Wu Ren laughed out loud and with a look of disdain he said, “you are stronger than me? That is a complete joke!”
With that, the aura around his entire body rose and he did not want to waste any more time.
Dong! Dong!
With a thought, mirages were made to behind Wu Ren Wang. It was his Purple Flood Fighting Soul and Sky Demon Tiger Fighting Soul. Strong demonic forces spread out over the area.
Although Wu Ren Wang was confident, he did not underestimate Su Mo and he began the fight straight away, releasing both of his fighting souls. He prepared to crush Su Mo and capture him.
With the release of his two Fighting Souls, Wu Ren Wang’s strength became immeasurably strong. As though he were a god himself, the aura around him was terrifying.
From afar, no one dared to shift their attention as they all wanted to see Su Mo’s real strength. Was he really a god-like talent, or was it a false reputation? They would quickly be able to find out.
Outside the True Sage Territory, millions of martial artists focused on the virtual screen.
“You are saying that Su Mo is Wu Ren Wang’s opponent?”
“Definitely not. According to what I know about Wu Ren Wang, he is a godly talent in the Heavenly Underworld Star Sorcerer Tribe branch. At Rank 9 Martial Emperor Realm, his strength is comparable to a Rank 1 Martial Honourable. He is strong!”
“If Su Mo does not voluntarily withdraw from the challenge, he might just die in Wu Ren Wang’s hands!”
“The first ranked on the True Sage Board… if Su Mo doesn’t live up to his name, those who made the True Sage Board should be completely ashamed!”

The onlookers silently discussed matters amongst themselves. There were few who looked highly upon Su Mo. The majority did not believe in Su Mo’s talents nor his strength.
Talent did not directly correlate to fighting strength. With the large difference in ranks between them, it was something that talent alone would not be able to compensate for.
If Wu Ren Wang was just an ordinary Rank 9 Martial Emperor, then it might still be possible for Su Mo to win. However, Wu Ren Wang was not any weakling but a godly talent.
The Grand Priest’s face was calm and he gently clasped his hands together, silently watching the screen.
Some of the Shen Wu Academy people were also anxious. If Su Mo suffered a crushing defeat, they would be totally embarrassed.
However, they had mostly seen Su Mo’s abilities before. Even if Su Mo could not win, he would still be able to stand his ground with a few blows right?
“He probably won’t lose!” Instructor Mu Li thought to herself, but she couldn’t help clenching her fists tightly as her heart shrivelled up with worry.
“It will be best if he is killed right there by Wu Ren Wang!”
Those who were kicked off the platform by Su Mo in the second round such as Ju Huang all wore cold expressions on their faces.
In the True Sage Territory, on the green platform, Wu Ren Wang’s aura had already circulated to its peak.
On the platform.
“You’re going to lose!”
Wu Ren Wang attacked first, thrusting both his fists forward. Two large, massive streaks of fist radiance tore through the sky and morphed into a great dragon and a fierce tiger that pounced towards Su Mo.
Graw! Roar!
The great dragon was over 10000 feet long and the fierce tiger was no smaller than the great dragon. The dragon and tiger were like an Archean Beast as their roars shook the skies and their auras were monstrous.
The dragon and tiger tore through the sky as their forces shook the skies and ground. Instantly, they flew over a kilometre towards Su Mo.
Su Mo had seen this attack before at the Young Priest Choosing Ceremony. However, this time round, it was more than a few times stronger than it was previously. it was of a completely different level.

Last time, Su Mo was already pretty worried when faced with this attack. However, he was now fearless.
Shoosh!
The Dark Force in him instantly merged together and with a stomp of his foot, Su Mo flew at lightning speed directly towards the dragon and tiger.
“Deserving death!”
Wu Ren Wang saw this and a cold smile was instantly plastered on his face. Su Mo did not dodge his attack but instantly met with it head on. He really didn’t care about his life.
The rest of the onlookers were shocked, what was Su Mo planning on doing? Did he want to collide head-on with the attack?
Isn’t that like trying to break a rock with an egg?
Unless Su Mo was very confident and he didn’t fear Wu Ren Wang’s attack.
Right as they were thinking about the possibilities, a terrifying sword force exploded from Su Mo. The Sword Radiance was dazzling and it shot out in four directions.
Shoosh! Shoosh!
The Sword Radiance dazzled brightly and Su Mo sliced down two times in a row. Two mesmerizing three-coloured Sword Qi that were like three coloured half moons tore the skies apart and instantly cut through the great dragon and tiger.
Dong! Dong!
With two violent explosions, the massive great dragon and tiger were torn apart instantly like paper and rolls upon rolls of aura swept out.
Su Mo’s speed did not slow down and the radiance on his entire body was dazzling as it changed and seemed to become smouldering iron and jade crystals. In a flash, the light radiance left a trail as Su Mo reached Wu Ren Wang.
“How could this be?” Wu Ren Wang’s face immediately changed completely. He did not expect at all that Su Mo’s power would be this scary and that it could instantly destroy his attack.
However, Wu Ren Wang was no ordinary martial artist and without hesitation, he quickly retreated backwards in hopes of widening the distance between him and Su Mo.
“You think you can run?” Su Mo coldly laughed and immediately released the Devouring Fighting Soul. The massive devouring power instantly covered the platform.
“Not good!” Wu Ren Wang’s heart jumped. He felt a strong devouring power upon him.
Not only did this devouring power cause his body to feel slack, his speed also fell drastically. The lifeblood and Dark Force within him shook violently and even his two Fighting Souls were trembling.
Quickly retrieving his Fighting Souls, Wu Ren Wang was just about to prepare to stabilise the Dark Force in him when his face changed drastically again. Su Mo was already right before him.
With a large swing of his arm, as though a large palm of gold was being poured down, white and jade coloured lights dazzled brightly. Like a pair of tongs, he immediately reached for Wu Ren Wang’s neck.
“Get lost!”
At that moment, Wu Ren Wang could not escape and he yelled out loud as he raised his fist to hit Su Mo’s palm violently.
Boom!
The fist and the palm force collided with each other and they were both torn apart as though tofu was being squashed on a steel board. Wu Ren Wang’s fist instantly exploded apart into pieces as blood rained all over.
Su Mo’s attack was too fast and under the influence of the devouring power, Wu Ren Wang was unable to control the Dark Force within him. Hence, in that instant, the Dark Force he utilised was very thin and meek.
With such a weak fist, it was wishful thinking that it would be able to block Su Mo’s attack which was aided by special Body Constitution powers.
“Ah!” A piercing scream escaped Wu Ren Wang’s mouth. However, in the next moment, the screams stopped.
Shoosh!
Once the steel-like palm shattered the fist, it immediately grabbed Wu Ren Wang’s neck and squeezed tightly.
Snap snap snap!
The sounds of broken bones sounded as Su Mo instantly shattered Wu Ren Wang’s neck into pieces with his superior strength.
Dong dong dong!!
Explosive three-coloured Dark Force flowed through from Su Mo’s palm into Wu Ren Wang’s body.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
