Chapter 1423: Red Dragon Camp
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
After Su Mo had cultivated for four hours, he opened his eyes and walked out of the cultivation chamber. He noticed that Gu Tianyi had come to the Emerald Residence.
“Brother Gu, how goes it?” Su Mo walked out of the palace and came to Gu Tianyi.
“Hahaha! Brother Shangguan, I have not let you down. I have persuaded my father and he will ask the Academy to release your two friends!” Gu Tianyi said with a smile on his face.
“That is great!” Su Mo heaved a sigh of relief when he heard it. In that case, he no longer had to worry about Nie Qian and Han Ying.
“Brother Shangguan, shall we go to the hall?” Gu Tianyi asked with a smile.
“Sure!” Su Mo extended his hand and signaled Gu Tianyi to get into the palace.
Both of them then sat together in the hall.
“Brother Shangguan, since you have joined our Imperial Ancestor Court, I will have to assign a position for you. You will stay at the Emerald Residence for the time being while I make the necessary arrangements!” Gu Tianyi said.
“Sure. I will have to trouble Brother Gu then!” Su Mo said and nodded. He was not interested in the position but he would not reject it either.
After all, he would not leave the Imperial Ancestor Court for the time being so he might as well stay in this place!
After Nie Qian and Han Ying had been released, he would then decide on his next move.
“Brother Shangguan, don’t say that. I intend to let you go to the Red Dragon Camp!” Gu Tianyi said.
“Can you tell me more about Red Dragon Camp?” Su Mo asked curiously.
“Red Dragon Camp consists of a small army that has been formed by the geniuses whom we have carefully selected from the different regions. It also comprises some powerful martial artists from our Imperial Court and some disciples from Shenwu Academy!” Gu Tianyi explained.
“I see!” Su Mo was enlightened. Gu Tianyi wanted him to go to the army.
“Given Brother Shangguan’s power, you will be able to excel after you have entered Red Dragon Camp!” Gu Tianyi said with a smile.

“I will accept your arrangement, Brother Gu!” Su Mo nodded. He was neither happy nor sad.
“Great. Since Brother Shangguan has no objection to it, I will make the arrangement for you!” Gu Tianyi said with a smile. Red Dragon Camp was a powerful army in the Imperial Ancestor Court and he was unable to turn his hand to it due to his lack of power.
He believed that given Su Mo’s strength and talent, Su Mo would be able to perform well and help him control Red Dragon Camp in the future.
After a while, Gu Tianyi left the Emerald Residence and went to make the necessary arrangements for Su Mo.
After Su Mo saw that Gu Tianyi had gone, he went into deep thought. He did not want to be tied down by Gu Tianyi in his battle.
After Nie Qian and Han Ying had been released, he would leave the Imperial Ancestor Court.
At the moment, he was more concerned about the task from Myriad Worlds Mountain.
Before he left the True Sage Territory, he had forgotten to ask Saint Zhen Xian about the consequences if he did not accomplish his mission!
Although Su Mo dreaded carrying out the mission that had been assigned to him, he would try to accomplish it if he could.
He knew that he would be greatly rewarded if he accomplished the mission.
“Xiao Yan, come over!”
After a while, Su Mo called out to the maid at the Emerald Residence.
“Sir, please pass down your instruction!” Xiao Yan came to the palace and bowed to Su Mo.
“Xiao Yan, how long have you been in the palace?” Su Mo asked with a smile.
“Sir, I have been in the palace for four years. For all of that time, I have been serving Your Highness’ Yi Palace!” Xiao Yan replied respectfully.
“Four years is a long time. Do you know about the situation in the palace?” Su Mo asked softly. Since he would be staying at the Imperial Ancestor Court for a while, he had to know the situation.
If he was oblivious to it, he might be tricked by Gu Tianyi and get himself into trouble.

Xiao Yan had stayed in the palace for four years, thus she should be aware of the situation.
“This…!” When Xiao Yan heard the question, she hesitated for a while. She was just a maid and was in no position to comment on the situation at the palace!
“It is fine. Just tell me what you know. I will not blame you even if the information is incorrect!” Su Mo said with a smile.
“Yes!” Xiao Yan nodded. Since Su Mo had asked her, she had to answer him.
“Good. I have heard that there are three Princes in the Imperial Ancestor Court who are the most talented amongst the Princes. Is this true?” Su Mo asked.
“Yes. They are the First Prince, Third Prince, and the Eighth Prince. All of them have left their names on the True Sage Stele and there is a great chance for them to become Martial Sages!” Xiao Yan replied and nodded her head.
“How is the relationship of the three Princes?” Su Mo asked again. He knew that the relationship of the three Princes was bad but he did not know the extent of it.
“I have heard that their relationship is not good. The First Prince and the Third Prince are more powerful than the Eighth Prince!” Xiao Yan said fearfully. She had not intended to tell Su Mo about it but she was afraid that he would be angry with her.
“I see. Do the three Princes often clash with one another?” Su Mo continued to question her.
“No. However, the three Princes seem to get into fights frequently!” Xiao Yan replied softly.
Su Mo nodded. The three Princes were probably eyeing the throne and that was Su Mo’s main concern. He did not want to be used by Gu Tianyi for this purpose.
“Have you heard of Red Dragon Camp?” Su Mo asked.
“Red Dragon Camp?”
Xiao Yan was stunned when she heard it. She then smiled and said, “Of course. Red Dragon Camp is the camp where the geniuses of our Imperial Ancestor Court gather together. All the soldiers are gifted martial artists!”
“Is that so? Is the Eighth Prince in control of Red Dragon Camp?” Su Mo asked. Since the Eighth Prince had the intention of placing him in Red Dragon Camp, it would be under his control.
“No. Red Dragon Camp is directly under the King’s command!” Xiao Yan said and shook her head.
“I see!”
Su Mo nodded and he started to ponder. Since Red Dragon Camp is directly under the King’s command, by placing him there, Gu Tianyi’s motive was obvious.
The army that is directly under the King’s command is of great importance. Gu Tianyi, the First Prince, and the Third Prince will try to take control of it.
Gu Tianyi wants him to go to Red Dragon Camp so that he can control it. In the future, Gu Tianyi will use the army.
Su Mo sighed. Gu Tianyi was treating him amicably like a friend at the moment but he knew that Gu Tianyi was simply using him as a pawn.
Throughout the ages, the Imperial family was made up of the most ruthless people. They would sacrifice anything in order to get power.
After chatting with Xiao Yan for a while, Su Mo had a good understanding of Red Dragon Camp.
He then dismissed Xiao Yan and sat alone in the palace to ponder.
Gu Tianyi is trying to make use of him but he may be able to make use of the Imperial Ancestor Court to accomplish the task that Myriad Worlds Mountain has assigned to him. He may be able to get his hands on the Blood Pupil Clan’s treasure, the Blood Wheelseye.
However, this was not a simple task and he had to spend some time thinking about it. He may have to destroy the entire Blood Pupil Clan if he wanted to take the Blood Wheelseye away from them.
Although the Blood Pupil Clan was a small clan in the Ancientspirit Galaxy, it was a supreme force in Red Millet Star. He would not be able to accomplish the task without the help of the Imperial Ancestor Court.

The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
