Chapter 1504: Hu Sheng
“Lu Gang, come back!” Su Mo shouted out loudly as he looked at Lu Gang, who was far away in the sky.
Lu Gang had just killed a few powerful demonic creatures and he had been injured.
When Lu Gang heard Su Mo shouting out for him, he slowly flew toward Su Mo and pulled up beside him.
“How many bone spikes have you obtained?” Su Mo asked.
“I have around 13,000!” Lu Gang replied with a rough estimate.
Having said that, Lu Gang waved his hand and a big pile of cold light glittered on the ground, revealing a heap of bone spikes.
When Su Mo saw it, he nodded. Although he had been cultivating, he had been keeping an eye on Lu Gang and knew that he had obtained around that quantity.
Su Mo then waved his sleeve and kept 90 percent of the bone spikes.
“All right. We shall end here!” Su Mo told Lu Gang.
“All right. Let’s go back to Path Sect!” Lu Gang said and heaved a sigh of relief when he heard what Su Mo had said. He could not wait to get back to Path Sect as he was afraid that the disciples from Empty Sky Sect would arrive any time.
Lu Gang then quickly took the remaining 10 percent of the bone spikes.
“Come, let’s go!”
Su Mo nodded and flew up to the sky. When Lu Gang saw, he shot up to the sky too and followed closely behind Su Mo.
When the people saw that Su Mo had left, they heaved a sigh of relief. Without Su Mo around, they could continue killing the demonic creatures.
The people would once again vie over the control of the Demons Domain.
…
In less than two weeks, Su Mo and Lu Gang reached Path Sect.
There was peace in Path Sect, which meant that the disciples from Empty Sky Sect had not come to the Sect. That had helped to ease some tension off Su Mo.
Su Mo and Lu Gang then went to the Inner Sect Hall and handed the bone spikes over.

According to the grade of the 13,000 bone spikes, Su Mo could get around 3,200 Middle Spiritual Crystals.
It was quite a huge amount and it would help Su Mo breakthrough one realm. Together with the bet that he had obtained from challenging the disciples of Path Sect for his Pro-disciple position, the amount was enough for him at the moment.
Su Mo then bid Lu Gang farewell and left Path Sect for Sun Moon Tribe.
Su Mo’s purpose for going to Sun Moon Tribe was not to look for Qingxuan but rather to to go to the Imperial Pagoda.
The space in the Imperial Pagoda was the best place for him to work on his cultivation. He wanted to have a better understanding of the merging of the properties of the Five Elements in the Pagoda.
It would be great if he could meet Qingxuan when he was at Sun Moon Tribe though.
Both Sun Moon Tribe and Path Sect were in Sun Moon Star. Three days later, Su Mo came to Sun Moon Mountain and flew toward the gate of Sun Moon City.
“Who are you?”
The moment Su Mo landed at the city gate, the guards who were on duty stood in front of him and stopped him from entering.
“I am a Pro-disciple of Path Sect!” Su Mo immediately took out his Pro-disciple identification tag and handed it over to a guard.
“All right. You can stay in Sun Moon City for one month. If you overstay, you have to pay 100 Middle Spiritual Crystals per day!” After the guard had checked the identification tag, he returned it to Su Mo.
The guards recognized Su Mo as his performance at the Fight meet was outstanding.
However, they had to follow the rules and go through the protocol.
“I will take note of it!” Su Mo nodded. He was shocked to learn that if he overstayed, he had to pay 100 Middle Spiritual Crystals per day. It was too great a price to pay!
The guard then let Su Mo enter Sun Moon Tribe.
After Su Mo got into Sun Moon Tribe, he immediately headed toward the Imperial Pagoda. After handing over the Spiritual Crystals, he went to the ninth level of the Pagoda.

There were only a few men from Sun Moon Tribe on the ninth level. Su Mo went to a corner and immediately sat cross-legged on the ground.
He preferred the ninth level as his mind was clear and sharp at that level.
After a while, Su Mo put away all other thoughts and slowly shut his eyes.
There must be restrictions in life and in restrictions, there must be life…
Su Mo recalled what Grand Elder Jin Yang had told him about the mystery of the power of the Five Elements.
In actual fact, it was not the mystery of the Five Elements but the theory behind the connections of the Five Elements. However, Su Mo had a feeling that if he could understand the theory, he would be able to merge the Five Elements together.
Su Mo went into a state of deep meditation as he tried to understand the theory and his thoughts kept shifting around. At times, he would try to adjust the power of the Five Elements in his elixir field to merge them together.
However, he only tested it out as he was afraid that the properties might go against each other and explode in his elixir field.
Su Mo wanted badly to merge the properties of the Five Elements together. Once he had done so, his combat strength would reach an amazing level.
Su Mo had no idea how far his combat strength could go, but he believed that he should be able to take on martial artists who were seven to eight levels higher than him, or even nine levels.
Thus, he did not rush into advancing his cultivation level but he had come to the Imperial Pagoda in the hope of merging the Dark Forces of the different properties together.
Even if he could not completely merge all the Dark Forces of the different properties together, as long as he could merge four of them, his combat strength would enhance tremendously.
Time passed by quickly as Su Mo focused his mind on understanding the theories.
While Su Mo was focusing on understanding the properties of the Five Elements, a group of top powers went to Wen Dao Mountain and walked into the Sect Hall of Path Sect.
There were more than 10 of them and the one taking the lead was a short, muscular elder with half a head of white hair.
The rest of them were at the Martial Honored Realm and most of them were at the high-rank Martial Honored Realm. All of them had a high cultivation level.
The one with the lowest cultivation level was a good-looking youth and he was none other than Yang Tiancheng.
The top powers sat in the Hall and the one taking the main seat was a stern-looking middle-aged man robed in grey.
“Hu Sheng, there must be a reason for you to come to Path Sect. What do you want?”
The middle-aged man robed in grey asked the short, muscular elder with a smile as he took a quick look at Yang Tiancheng and the rest of the people.
He was baffled by the presence of the group of people from Empty Sky Sect. Moreover, the group was led by Hu Sheng, who was well-known.
“Sect Leader Quan, I am here to ask for an explanation!”
“Explanation? What do you mean?” The middle-aged man robed in grey asked in amazement as he squinted his eyes.
He was Quan Ming, the Sect Leader of Path Sect.
“Sect Leader Quan, you should be aware that you have a disciple by the name of Su Mo.” The short and muscular elder by the name of Hu Sheng asked.
“I have heard of him!” Sect Leader Quan nodded. He had heard that there was a gifted genius in the Sect and he had defeated all the geniuses from the other six forces at the Fight meet. He was invincible and had brought glory to Path Sect.
“Ha! Su Mo is ruthless. Do you know that he has killed two of our Pro-disciples?” Hu Sheng asked sharply.
“Is that so?” When Sect Elder Quan heard what Hu Sheng had said, he frowned.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
