Chapter 1660: Trouble

This skinny man wore a long green robe and had a sharp aura around him. Yet, he felt like a dead tree.

Once he saw the First Prince’s signal to him, he nodded his head, showing that he understood the First Prince’s intentions.

A few moments later, the ongoing battle ended and both the contestants left the grounds. The young man’s body flashed and he flew down onto the grounds.

“I am Jin Lu. Does anyone want to challenge me?” The skinny young man stood in the middle of the ground and scanned the four corners.

The Third Prince Gu Yuanji and Eighth Prince Gu Tianyi frowned the moment they saw the skinny young man fly onto the grounds. They were naturally aware that Jin Lu was the First Prince’s man.

Most importantly, Jin Lu was incredibly strong.

Although Jin Lu was only the peak of the Rank 6 Martial Honorable Realm, his fighting strength was incredibly strong and he was considered one of the strongest geniuses in the entire Imperial Ancestor Court Faction.

Upon seeing Jin Lu up on the ground, Gu Yuanji and Gu Tianyi fell silent. Gu Cangtian brought quite a lot of geniuses with him and it appeared that there was going to be trouble later.

“I will test you!”

A tall, burly man walked forward onto the ground. This man was a genius of the Zhang Family and he did not belong to any prince. He had long heard of Jin Lu’s incredible strength and he wanted to exchange blows with the genius.

The two stood upright on the grounds and the two previous contestants who fought immediately handed over the jade bangles.

Against Jin Lu, the bold young man did not delay. As his face darkened, golden light flashed in his hand and a massive purple-gold hammer appeared.

“One blow to defeat you!” Jin Lu stared at the young man’s wary face and said smugly.

“Enough nonsense, take my blow!”

The burly young man yelled and stomped on the ground before he shot up to the sky. Only once he reached the space above Jin Lu did he heavily swung his hammer down.

This hammer was incredibly strong and it had frightening powers.

If it was the outside world, even if the man’s cultivation rank had been suppressed to Rank 1 Martial Honorable Realm, the blow could wipe out everything in a 10-kilometer radius around him.

Boom boom boom!

With destructive force, the purple-gold hammer shot through the sky and struck down above Jin Lu’s head like a large hammer.

This blow was solid, and even if Jin Lu had great defensive skills, he could be squashed into pieces instantly.

However, the next scene had everyone widen their mouths in shock.

Jin Lu casually gestured a few strokes in the air and a large, dead, tree-like hand spread out its five fingers as it flew towards the large purple-gold hammer.

A deafening explosion shook the garden as shockwaves swept the area.

An utter look of shock crossed the young man’s face as he hovered in mid-air.

Without much effort, Jin Lu used a single palm to meet his massive attack.

Those who didn’t know Jin Lu, such as the geniuses of the other 12 superpowers, were shocked.

With such a display of powers, Jin Lu’s fighting skill must be considered incredible.

“Defeat!” Jin Lu yelled out. The palm that reached out for the purple-gold hammer squeezed into a fist before it struck the purple-gold hammer.

Boom!

With another explosion, terrifying forces swept through the sky and sped past the purple-gold hammer to hit the burly young man’s body.

As he shivered uncontrollably, the burly young man was instantly flung backwards out of the ground and beyond the seats of the crowd before he finally landed on a patch of grass outside the ground.

“Admit defeat!” Jin Lu cupped his fists towards the man. He had been completely defeated the moment he was forced out of the grounds.

“You have won!” The burly young man sighed out before he lethargically dragged his feet back to his seat.

He was disappointed that he had been defeated in a single strike. He knew that it wasn’t a result of him being weak, but rather that his opponent was far too strong.

Jin Lu was unrivalled among those of the same realm as him in the Imperial Ancestor Court Faction aside from the Third Prince and the Second Princess.

“Not bad!” The First Prince smiled and nodded. Jin Lu was his man and he was highly satisfied with Jin Lu’s battling strength.

However, that was only the beginning and there was more fights to see.

“Anyone else want to fight me?” After defeating the burly young man, Jin Lu stared at everyone and dared.

He didn’t seem to be satisfied. The burly young man was just an average genius and he was rather insignificant.

“I will show you my ultimate skill!”

Another genius of the Imperial Ancestor Court Faction stood up. This man had a square face and a tall, straight body. His aura was unordinary.

Yet, this man neither belonged to the Third Prince’s nor the Eighth Prince’s camp.

Although there were many men of the Third Prince and Gu Tianyi, neither of the princes had given any signals and hence, their men would not act recklessly.

“Take my blow!”

The square-faced man stepped up on the grounds and wore the jade bangle. Thereafter, he immediately attacked and struck out horizontally with his sabre.

In an instant, sharp Sabre Qi brought forth a large wave of force as it sped with lightning-speed towards Jin Lu.

This square-faced man was obviously much stronger than the burly young man previously.

However, Jin Lu’s strength exceeded his expectations.

Jin Lu simply closed two fingers together and pierced his fingers out like a sharp sword.

Shoosh!

Sharp green-colored Sword Radaince shot out like an arrow that tore through the sky as it instantly collided against the Sabre Qi.

Bam!

The green Sword Radiance smoothly pierced through the Sabre Qi, causing the Sabre Qi to crumble apart. Then, it continued on its path towards the young man’s chest.

“What?” The square-faced young man turned pale with fright. Since he and Jin Lu were too close to each other, he couldn’t dodge the attack.

In the blink of an eye, he could only raise his sabre in front of him to block.

Boom!

An explosion sounded out as the green Sword Radiance clashed against the long sabre. In the next instant, the square-faced young man was instantly flung out of the grounds like the burly young man.

With another single strike, Jin Lu had won again.

The crowd was taken aback. The square-faced young man was another genius of the Saint Royal City. Yet, he was no match for Jin Lu.

The geniuses of the other 12 superpowers silently nodded their heads. Although Jin Lu did not have high cultivation, his fighting strength was strong and he was comparable to an exceptional genius.

“Not bad!” Su Mo marvelled. This man seemed to be on par with You Tianhan and Wu Renwang when compared to those of the same rank as them.

“Anyone else wants to battle him?” After two consecutive battles, Jin Lu once again scanned the crowd.

However, this time, no one else stepped forward.

The men of the Third and Eighth Prince would not step forward without the princes’ approval.

As for the other geniuses of the 12 superpowers, they were all exceptional talents and their goals were only the Third Prince and the Second Princess. Either that or they would fight against the exceptional talents of the 13 superpowers, they would not fight against any random person.

Jin Lu saw that no one was willing to fight him again and a smile curled up his face. Then, he scanned the grounds and began to pick out his opponents.

Since no one willingly wanted to battle him, he could only pick his opponents. His goal was obviously the men of the Third and Eighth Prince.

Before he had come to the banquet, the First Prince had already instructed him to defeat all the supporters of the other two princes, humiliating them.

This was the mission given to him by the First Prince. However, Jin Lu wanted to take it a step further by challenging the Third Prince and the Eighth Prince after that.

If he could defeat the Third Prince, Gu Yuanji and the Eighth Prince, Gu Tianyi, he would not only accomplish his mission, he would also gain a name for himself.

The Third Prince and Gu Tianyi saw Jin Lu’s actions and knew that he was about to wreak havoc. Instantly, their eyes started to narrow.
