Chapter 1666: You Are Too Weak
No one was surprised that no one had gone to spar with Su Mo.
However, they were shocked that Su Mo had taken what the First Prince had said seriously. He was trying to challenge all the geniuses in the Imperial Ancestor Court.
He was very bold and confident of himself.
“Brother, are you able to defeat him?” Zhu Ying asked Zhu Tong, who was sitting beside him, through sound transmission. He wanted Zhu Tong to defeat Su Mo.
“I do not have absolute confidence!” Zhu Tong replied. Su Mo had only thrown out one blow earlier and Zhu Tong could not tell from that blow how powerful Su Mo’s combat strength was.
However, he was still confident of defeating Su Mo as he was a Rank 8 Martial Honored Realm martial artist. Even if his cultivation level had been suppressed to Rank 1 Martial Honored Realm, he was much more powerful than Jin Lu, who was at the same rank as him.
When Zhu Ying heard what Zhu Tong had said, he sighed. He could not rush his brother to take the field and could only continue to wait.
When Su Mo looked around and saw that no one wanted to take him on, he felt helpless. He had to use some tricks!
He let out a cough and said, “There are so many geniuses in the Imperial Ancestor Court but you don’t deserve to be called geniuses if you don’t even have the guts to spar with me!”
After Su Mo had made that statement, many people’s faces darkened. What he had said was too presumptuous. He looked down on all the geniuses in the Imperial Ancestor Court.
Before that, the First Prince and the Eighth Prince were fighting each other. At the current moment, it had moved on to all the geniuses in the Imperial Ancestor Court.
Light flashed across the eyes of many people and they wanted to take the field. However, when they thought of Shangguan Hao’s strength, they suppressed their anger.
“Brother!” When Zhu Ying saw that Shangguan Hao was getting more arrogant, he looked at Zhu Tong and became anxious. If Zhu Tong would not take the field, Shangguan Hao would leave the Square.

When Zhu Tong saw this, he nodded. He belonged to the Third Prince’s camp. The fight earlier was between the First Prince and the Eighth Prince.
However, Su Mo was currently directing all the geniuses in the Imperial Ancestor Court, thus it was time for him to act.
“Shangguan Hao, let me take you on!” Zhu Tong said coldly as he stood up.
When the people saw that, they were shocked. Zhu Tong wanted to take Shangguan Hao on!
Zhu Tong was the Third Prince’s man. His cultivation level was at Rank 8 Martial Honored Realm and he was powerful in terms of strength and talent. He was almost on par with the Third Prince.
When they remembered that Zhu Tong was Zhu Ying’s brother, they understood why he was doing it.
Zhu Tong wanted to stand up for Zhu Ying.
When the Third Prince saw it, he frowned. Very quickly, he felt that it might be a good move for Zhu Tong to take Su Mo on.
It would not do him any good for either the men of the First Prince or the Eighth Prince to steal the show.
It would be good for Zhu Tong to teach Shangguan Hao a lesson.
The First Prince’s face looked indifferent. He squinted his eyes and was in deep thought.
When Su Mo saw Zhu Tong, cold light flashed across his eyes. Zhu Tong could no longer hold himself back. He wanted to avenge Zu Ying.
Zhu Tong walked to the Square. As a Rank 8 Martial Honored Realm martial artist, his aura was rich and powerful and there was a vigorous power hidden in his body.
Under normal circumstances, Su Mo had no idea if he was a match for Zhu Tong. However, if it was a fight within the same rank, he was confident of defeating him.
Swoosh!
A streamer shot out and someone threw the jade pendant at Zhu Tong. Zhu Tong caught it and put it on, and his aura immediately went down.
“After you!” Su Mo stood up and there was no expression on his face.
“Shangguan Hao, don’t you think that you have been too arrogant?” Zhu Tong’s face darkened when he saw Shangguan Hao’s expression. Shangguan Hao did not use any weapon and he looked as though he did not have any regard for him.

“Stop talking nonsense. You only have the chance to throw out one blow. Just do it!” Su Mo said flatly. He told Zhu Tong the same words that he had told Jin Lu.
“What?” Zhu Tong’s face darkened when he heard this and his eyes were filled with immense killing intent. Shangguan Hao looked down on him.
Many people in the banquet widened their eyes and they were speechless.
Shangguan Hao is too presumptuous!
In the face of Zhu Tong, he had still dared to make such an audacious comment. He made the people speechless.
The First Prince frowned. He was unhappy with Shangguan Hao’s arrogance.
The Second Princess’ eyes lit up. She was curious as to why Shangguan Hao could possess such a great combat strength.
“Great! Very good!”
Zhu Tong laughed and he was filled with anger. Light flashed across his hand and a long red spear appeared in his hand.
Zhu Tong pointed his long spear at Su Mo and the red Dark Force in his body surged crazily. A flaming Fire Based power shot out in all directions.
The Fire Based power was tough and full of vigor. It was hot and caused the surrounding temperature to rise.
The space then started to twist.
In the face of Zhu Tong’s intense aura, Su Mo felt as though he was in a Sea of Fire. He did not activate his Blood Force Physique and simply activated the Body Protection Dark Force to cover his body within.
“Take one blow from me. True Sun Fire Snake!”
Zhu Tong shouted as he struck. He shook the long spear in his hand and stabbed toward Su Mo in the air.
Suddenly, the red spear radiance from the long spear shot out and formed three long, flaming snakes and attacked Su Mo.
The blow was much more powerful than Jin Lu’s attack. It not only contained amazing Dark Force fluctuation but also fierce fire.
The power of the Fire Based Ultimacy was mighty and it had reached the third level.
On top of that, Zhu Tong activated his Fighting Soul as he had vowed to kill Su Mo with one blow.
The moment he threw out a blow, he had used all his might.
He dared not take Su Mo lightly. After all, Su Mo had displayed powerful combat strength earlier.
“You are too weak!”
Su Mo said. He used his fingers as a sword and threw out a blow.
Three-colored radiance shimmered and vast sword power shot up to the sky. The Sword Qi was like a tidal wave and it filled the sky in layers, moving toward the three flaming snakes to attack them.
Seven Calamities Swordplay – Sea Attack!
To counter Zhu Tong’s attack, Su Mo had used the swordplay and activated eight types of Sword Fighting Soul.
Although Zhu Tong did not have excellent combat strength, Su Mo did not take him lightly. He wanted to defeat him instantly with one blow.
He did not use his full force as he was afraid of killing Zhu Tong with one blow.
He controlled his own power and judged by Zhu Tong’s attack to decide on the power of his own attack.
He had used the same method when dealing with Jin Lu as he had no idea if his opponent had hidden his strength. He had let Jin Lu make the first move as he was afraid of killing him with his blow.
When Jin Lu did not strike, Su Mo acted first and did not use his swordplay. He simply caught hold of Jin Lu.
The vast Sword Qi was invincible. In an instant, it hit the three Flaming Long Snakes.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
There were three loud explosions and the three Flaming Long Snakes burst when they came into contact with the Sword Qi. They collapsed at the first blow.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.

I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
