Chapter 1825: She Is Unfortunate
“What’s wrong, Qingxuan?”
Su Mo observed Yun Youyou’s trance and hurriedly asked. He was worried that Yun Youyou would adopt a new mentality after losing her memories for a long time, and thus be reluctant to regain her memories.
“Nothing!” Yun Youyou shook her head and asked, “Is the Ancient Dream Grass hard to find? Should I ask someone from the tribe to get if for me?”
She wanted to first obtain the Ancient Dream Grass before deciding whether or not to regain her memories by devouring it.
“No way!” Su Mo immediately shook his head and rejected, “Only the two of us can seek it. We must not let the Sun Moon Tribe know about it.”
The Sun Moon Tribe definitely did not want Qingxuan to regain her memories and hence, they must not become aware of it.
Back when the Sun Moon Tribe expert had wiped Qingxuan’s memories, the intention had been to root her heart in the Sun Moon Tribe. Who would want her to regain her memories?
“This… Should I let my teacher seek it?” Yun Youyou doubtfully asked. She had asked her teacher about how she could regain her memories before but her teacher had not given her a concrete answer.
“That is even worse!” Su Mo shook his head and warned her, “Qingxuan, you need to be wary of Grand Elder Jin Yang in the future!”
“Stay on guard around my teacher? Why?” Yun Youyou instantly frowned and gritted her teeth upon hearing Su Mo’s warning.
“This… I feel that Grand Elder Jin Yang might not have good intentions towards you!” Su Mo uttered in a deep tone.
“Bad intentions towards me?” Yun Youyou’s face hardened and a cold glare passed through her eyes as she scowled, “Su Mo, be careful with your words and don’t disgrace my teacher!”
Yun Youyou was offended. Although she admitted that she trusted Su Mo after the trip to Ancientspirit Galaxy, she was not comfortable with his words now.
Her teacher treated her like his own daughter and patiently taught her about martial arts. Their relationship was deep and she would not allow Su Mo to speak ill of her teacher.
Sigh!
Su Mo jumped in shock and creased his eyebrows together in the next instant. His heart fell helplessly and he looked disappointed.
Qingxuan had stayed in Sun Moon Tribe for a long time and her relationship with Grand Elder Jin Yang ran even deeper than his.
Him directly insulting Grand Elder Jin Yang had naturally unsettled Qingxuan.

“Let’s not talk about this. I am prepared to leave Mingxu Galaxy after the crowning ceremony to find the Ancient Dream Grass for you!”
Su Mo shook his head. He wasn’t sure whether or not Grand Elder Jin Yang was a good man and he only made guesses about the Grand Elder’s intentions. He still left room in case his guess was wrong.
Luckily, Yun Youyou softly sighed after hearing Su Mo’s words and did not chastise him. After all, Su Mo had done too many things for her and she was grateful to him.
“Ah Mi Galaxy is very far, and it is separated from Ming Xu Galaxy by more than 100 galaxies. With your cultivation rank, you might need more than 10 years before you reach it!” Yun Youyou raised that point.
“It is fine, I will take it as a training experience.” Su Mo laughed lightheartedly. Since he couldn’t stay at Ming Xu Galaxy nor Ancientspirit Galaxy anymore, he would travel the universe.
Furthermore, he had a curse on his body now and wouldn’t be able to break it in the short term. Perhaps he could find a way to break it as he travelled the universe.
According to Saint Elder Zhen Xian, the Holy Relic could raise a martial artist’s mental strength and it could possibly help him to resist the curse.
Even if he wasn’t able to obtain the Holy Relic reward for the mission, he might be able to obtain other Holy Relics in Ah Mi Galaxy.
Besides, there were other treasures aside from the Holy Relic that could raise his mental strength. If he could find other valuables like the Ancient Demon’s Medulla, that would also be greatly beneficial for him.
Su Mo was the only one who could find the Ancient Dream Grass. Although Yun Youyou was already a Rank 6 Martial Honorable, she wouldn’t be able to get the Ancient Dream Grass.
She would be in trouble if the Sun Moon Tribe found out about what she was doing.
Once Yun Youyou heard Su Mo’s words and observed the warm smile on his face, she fell silent and stared thoughtfully into the distance.
“Qingxuan, what’s wrong?” Looking at the strange look on Qingxuan’s face, Su Mo asked curiously.
“Su Mo, why are you doing this? Why are you helping me?” Yun Youyou asked in a deep voice.
She wondered why Su Mo was so caring towards her. He had chased after her from Ancientspirit Galaxy to Mingxu Galaxy and also decided to spend the effort to head towards Ah Mi Galaxy to find the Ancient Dream Grass for her.

She wasn’t sure why Su Mo would do this for her.
Of course, Yun Youyou wasn’t dumb and she knew that she was very attractive to men because of her strength and her beauty.
Yet, Su Mo obviously did not have those intentions towards her or he would have acted on them when they were on route to Ancientspirit Galaxy.
Su Mo was slightly surprised before his face darkened and he replied in a solemn voice, “I promised Qian Xunyue to protect you and not let any harm happen to you. I want to let the two of you be united again!”
He didn’t raise the relationship between them and attributed all reason for his actions to Qian Xunyue.
However, he did indeed promise Qian Xunyue before he would protect Qingxuan and let the two reunite.
“Teacher Qian Xunyue!”
Yun Youyou nodded her head. She knew that Qian Xunyue had died because of Su Mo and Su Mo had been bringing her coffin around with him, swearing to revive her one day.
This dedication couldn’t help her from being moved.
“Do you like her?” Yun Youyou asked lightly. She believed that there must be a deep relationship between the two.
Otherwise, there could be no other explanation for Su Mo’s dedication and perseverance in his endeavor.
“She is my woman!” Su Mo stared straight at Yun Youyou and claimed. Since Yun Youyou had already lost her memories and her feelings towards him, Su Mo admitted it without reservation.
Yun Youyou was surprised and she instantly fell silent. She knew from Su Mo, as well as the Firmament Palace people, about many things about Firmament World.
However, she had not imagined that her teacher, Qian Xunyue, would be Su Mo’s woman.
That was because it didn’t seem possible. According to what she knew, Qian Xunyue and Su Mo did not have that many interactions.
“She must be very lucky to have a man who would give everything for her!”
After a long while, Yun Youyou marveled. Her face was filled with mixed emotions and her mind spun in wonder.
“No, she is unfortunate!” Su Mo shook his head dejectedly and couldn’t help his mind drifting to the past to recall how Qian Xunyue had bravely stepped in front to block the attacks of the Netherworld Devil Sect to protect him.
He had also wondered why Qian Xunyue would do so before.
Back then, he had offended her and Qian Xunyue had chased after him to kill him for a very long time.
However, right when he was in grave danger, not only did Qian Xunyue not kill him, she also jumped into the line of fire to save him.
This made Su Mo confused. Could Qian Xunyue have fallen in love with him? That didn’t seem possible.
“Su Mo, what is wrong?”
Right at that moment, Yun Youyou coughed lightly. Su Mo’s complexion had suddenly turned as dark as water and the aura in his body fluctuated wildly.
“Not good!” Su Mo jumped in fright and he immediately threw aside the scandalous thoughts in his mind and focused on stabilizing his Dark Force.
He did not break through to the next realm, but he still activated the curse.
Whew!
Luckily for him, Yun Youyou’s cough had shaken him. Furthermore, since he wasn’t pushing the bottleneck of his realm, the curse wasn’t too strong and he managed to easily suppress it.
“What was that?” Yun Youyou asked, concerned.
“Nothing, I didn’t control my feelings and almost landed myself in hot water!” Su Mo chuckled without telling Yun Youyou the truth.
“That’s great!” Yun Youyou heaved a sigh of relief.
Thereafter, he continued talking with Yun Youyou for a while about the Ancient Dream Grass before he released her from the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda and escorted her out of his mansion 15 minutes later.
After watching Yun Youyou safely take her leave, Su Mo returned back to his palace.
“She actually stayed for so long?”
In a tall pagoda not far away from Su Mo’s palace, Fan Yunsheng stared after Yun Youyou’s back as his face darkened.
Yun Youyou had stayed in Su Mo’s palace and talked with him alone for half an hour and Fan Yunsheng couldn’t help looking at Su Mo in distaste.
“Nothing should have happened within half an hour right?” Fan Yunsheng muttered softly under his breath. He was afraid of Su Mo laying hands on Yun Youyou.
However, half an hour was too short for anything to have happened.
With that, Fan Yunsheng dropped his head down and pondered how he would teach Su Mo a lesson.
Su Mo was his main enemy and if he didn’t get rid of Su Mo, he wouldn’t be able to win over Yun Youyou.
However, he couldn’t directly attack Su Mo.
Very quickly, Fan Yunsheng’s eyes brightened as he thought of a chance during the crowning ceremony.
Even if Fan Yunsheng didn’t act then, others from other galaxies could challenge Su Mo.

Tur Briste
A Druid cultivation novel. Borrows concepts from Wuxia and Xianxia but using Druid myth and lore. More on this at the bottom. Crow is son of Maddox, a Druid with an ancient bloodline and a people with a story spanning toward the beginning of time. Cursed, unfated, and a heap of bad luck have brought him only pain and suffering, but nothing will stop him. Nothing can stop him. A son of Maddox doesn’t bow his head. A son of Maddox understands that only a man with roots, with something to lose, will fight until the last drop of blood leaves his body. The Draoidh were once a proud people. They were both respected and hated for their form of righteousness. Power wasn’t something they gained through the might of their arms, but through intelligence. Their fall was all the more disheartening for the weaker cultivators. The tens of thousands of years that followed… chaos reigned. They forced Draoidh until most fled to the lower realms, nearly wiped out and exhausted. They went into hiding and became known as the Druids of the Oak. The Druid Order wasn’t the powerhouse it had been, and only nine of the major clans survived the calamity. Their bloodline weakened, as well as their prestige. Even the remaining clans fought amongst each other. Already on the decline and near extinguished, the Maddox clan can only struggle for survival, but their foundation wasn’t a joke. Weakened, but not weak. The other clans will understand this difference soon enough. Tur Briste, the Shattered Tower, awaits Crow’s ascension. Reaching the upper realms is only the first step in reestablishing the Draoidh. The Druids of the Oak remembered every betrayal and grievance, and they’ll return to power and reclaim what once belonged to them. The upper realms may have forgotten, but the Druid Order has not. Please Note:1) This is harem story. There are only a few chapters with sex, and it’s not a focus of the story. I’ll only add graphic sex if I feel the story needs it, so not gratuitously. Either way, Crow has several women. This is in line with Druid/Celtic history, and harems/reverse harems were an accepted part of their culture. Further, they had open marriages, meaning the man or woman could end their marriage at any time. While it was still a patriarchy, women had almost equal power. They were a very progressive culture. 2) There is a period of a 30-50 chapters where Crow loses the ability to cultivate like a Druid so he adopts an eastern body cultivation method for a while. This is temporary, but some people feel it’s misleading, so I am pointing it out ahead of time. I promise, the Druid stuff comes back, and 90% of the lore/myths/creatures/gods are all related to Druid/Celt/Irish/Scottish history. 3) I use many original names, most of which are in Gaelic or Irish. In the story, I refer to this language as Ancient. I enjoy all kinds of folklore and myths, so I encourage you to google those original names as they arrive. I give some background on them at the end of the chapter in my author’s note. 4) I use Ogham runes a lot, these are like the Druid alphabet, and they based each rune on a sacred tree so they also have symbolism associated with them. Again, feel free to google that too. It’s pretty neat stuff. Quick Translations:Draoidh = DruidTur Briste = Shattered Tower or Broken Tower Release Schedule:As of Oct 1, 2021- 3 chapters released every Sunday (May have up to two bonus chapters)- Side character chapters… this might be bonus chapters I release through the week. So they won’t count toward the 3 chapters on Sunday.- Please understand I work full time, have two kids, and can’t spare as much time as I’d like toward my writing. Maybe in the future I can switch to doing this full time, but for now 3 chapters is a comfortable pace for me. Lastly… I very much appreciate all my readers and thank you for allowing me to entertain you!

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road.
