Chapter 1830: The Five

Before the darkness of the night was swept away by the morning sun, Sun Moon City was already bustling with activity.

Numerous people walked out of their living quarters and headed towards the grounds of the city. That day was the crowning ceremony.

The grounds in the middle of the city were already laid with a stage and stands.

In the form of a circle, the hundred-foot wide stage was made entirely out of white jade. Large red carpets were lain over it as though it had been constructed for a wedding ceremony.

Stands surrounded all 4 corners of the stage layer by layer. It appeared like a huge battle arena that could fit millions of people.

However, these stands were only meant for the inner tribe members of Sun Moon Tribe. The 7 superpowers and the guests of the other superpowers who had arrived at the Sun Moon Star.

As for the ordinary outer tribe members, they could only sit at the further stands from the ground.

Inside his manor in Sun Moon World, Su Mo put on a blue long robe and prepared to leave the inner tribe in half an hour.

Knock knock knock!

Right at that moment, knocking sounds emerged from an outsider. Using his spiritual senses for a scan, Su Mo realised that Saint Zhen Xian had arrived.

“Senior Zhen Xian, please enter!”

Su Mo immediately opened the doors to his manor and allowed Saint Zhen Xian to enter.

“Su Mo, there is an hour left until the crowning ceremony. I have come to find you for an important matter.” Saint Zhen Xian said.

“Oh, senior, please speak!” Su Mo nodded his head.

Saint Zhen Xian flipped his palm and a blue spiritual stone that was as large as a goose egg appeared. The crystal stone glittered smoothly as though it was a valuable jewel.

“This is a Soul Gathering Crystal that has an array over it. If you allow your mental senses to enter it, you can connect to another place!” Saint Zhen Xian informed Su Mo.

“This is for…?” Su Mo wore a bewildered expression as he asked. What did he need to connect to another place for?

“It is like this. The pro-disciple of the sect has arrived but he temporarily is not able to enter the Sun Moon Tribe. Furthermore, he does not know which Myriad World Mountain disciples are here and hence, he wants to recognise everyone!” Saint Elder Zhen Xian explained.

“I see!” Su Mo exclaimed in realization. There were a few disciples of Myriad World Mountain there. Since the pro-disciple of Myriad World Mountain did not know who was there, he wanted to familiarize himself with the faces of the disciples.

“Allow your spiritual consciousness into the Soul Gathering Crystal and you will meet everyone!” Saint Elder Zhen Xian replied.

“Mm! Let’s enter it then!” Su Mo nodded his head and, with a mental thought, he allowed his spiritual consciousness to gush into the crystal stone.

Saint Elder Zhen Xian followed closely after him as he allowed a hint of his spiritual consciousness to enter the crystal stone.

Once Su Mo had allowed his spiritual consciousness to enter the crystal stone, he morphed his spiritual consciousness to become a virtual image of himself. His spiritual senses seemed to pierce layer after layer of emptiness before he arrived in an Empty Space.

Saint Elder Zhen Xian followed closely after him and arrived at the place.

This Empty Space was not large as it appeared to be about 10,000 feet wide. There was nothing in any of the four corners except for a few figures that stood together in the space.

There were 5 people in total. 4 were rather young while another was a taller man who locked his hands behind his back and stood at the front, his back facing the crowd.

Shoosh shoosh!!

The moment Su Mo and Saint Elder Zhen Xian arrived, the 4 pairs of eyes of the young men whipped around to look at them.

“Su Mo!” A white-shirted young man instantly exclaimed, realizing Su Mo’s faces.

“Gao Haoran!” Su Mo stared at the white-shirted young man and was slightly surprised. He had not expected Gao Haoran to have arrived here.

Casually looking at the faces of the 3 others, Su Mo did not recognise the other three disciples.

They were 2 men and a lady. The 2 men were handsome while the lady was small and elegant.

However, since only their spiritual consciousnesses were present, Su Mo could not tell their cultivation ranks.

“Greetings to Senior Bai!”

Right at that moment, Saint Elder Zhen Xian stepped forward and bowed to the back-facing man.

Su Mo immediately followed suit and bowed to the man.

“Zhen Xian, is everyone here?” Senior Bai who still did not reveal his face asked. His voice was deep and musky, showcasing his strength and superiority.

“Senior Bai, everyone is here!” Saint Elder Zhen Xian glanced at the group before he repleid. Although there were other Myriad World Mountain disciples who were there, only the 5 disciples had indicated their participation in the mission.

“Mm!” Senior Bai lightly acknowledged before he slowly turned around to reveal his face to the group.

This man looked to be about thirty years old but he looked neither like a middle-aged man or a young man. He had a cold face and deep eyes that seemed to pierce their souls.

“Juniors, introduce yourselves to me!” Senior Bai asked in a loud tone. He only recognised Saint Elder Zhen Xian among the group.

He had just returned from God’s Path and was ignorant about who had accepted the mission.

“Levitation Galaxy, Levitation God Sect Gao Haoran, greetings to senior!”

“Black Death Galaxy, Sacred Sword Sect Baili Liqing, greetings to senior!”

“Northern Spirit Galaxy, Sealing Sky Sect Wen Tian, greetings to senior!”

“Heavenly Fate Galaxy, Misty God Sect Han Xue, greetings to senior!”

Gao Haoran and the other 3 bowed towards Senior Bai as they briefly introduced themselves.

“Su Mo from Sun Moon Tribe, greetings to senior!” Su Mo also introduced himself briefly to Senior Bai.

With that, he shifted his eyes to look at the young man called Baili Liqing. This man had a clean face and a proper figure.

He casually surveyed the man as he knew that the man had come from Sacred Sword Sect of the Black Death Galaxy.

The Sacred Sword Sect was where Senior Li Tongtian had come from.

Could Senior Li Tongtian have arrived?

“Mm!”

Senior Bai casually acknowledged before he stared at the 5 and said, “You must know the details of the mission to kill Mo Xiao of the True Demon Tribe. As to why you must kill this man, you do not need to know. However, you will definitely meet severe repercussions upon killing this man!”

The group silently listened to Senior Bai’s explanation. They naturally knew the consequences of completing the mission, but they thought it was worth it if they could obtain the Holy Relic.

Furthermore, with an expert to protect them, they would be able to escape and not be in much danger in the future either.

Looking at the fearless expressions of the group, Senior Bai continued, “Since you are all fearless, I will not delay any longer. As long as you can kill this man, your safety will be guaranteed!”

The group nodded their heads. They could kill Mo Xiao without being worried of dying at the hands of an expert from the True Demons Tribe.

“Also, Demon Genius Mo Xiao is exceptionally strong and he has never lost to anyone in the same rank as him. If you believe that you aren’t his match, don’t force it!” Senior Bai warned the five. He wasn’t too confident that they could complete the mission.

After all, Mo Xiao’s strength was exceptional and those that could kill him within hundred years old were few and rare.

“Yes!” The group answered quickly. However, immeasurable confidence was held in their eyes.

They were all godly geniuses who had become Martial Sages in 100 years. Confidence came with their strength.

“Su Mo, aren’t you still a Rank 7 Martial Honorable, why are you here?”

At that point, Gao Haoran suddenly looked at Su Mo and asked with a smile that hinted at a slight mockery.

He was hugely surprised when he saw Su Mo. Although he knew Su Mo was a Sun Moon Tribe member, he had not expected Su Mo to accept the mission because he knew that Su Mo was just a Rank 7 Martial Honorable.

Taking on the mission with such a cultivation rank, wasn’t that a joke?

The moment Gao Haoran spoke, everyone’s eyes fell on Su Mo.

Rank 7 Martial Honorable?

Could it be right?

Who would take on the mission if they were so weak?

Everyone was in disbelief. However, they were present in the Empty Space as spiritual consciousness and they could not see through Su Mo’s cultivation rank.

Senior Bai also frowned lightly before he stared at Su Mo and asked, “Are you really a Rank 7 Martial Honorable?”

“Yes!” Su Mo nodded his head and bravely answered. There was nothing for him to hide.

However, his eyes darkened. Was Gao Haoran purposely trying to make things hard for him?

“Zhen Xian, what is going on?”

Senior Bai’s face fell as he stared at Saint Zhen Xian and asked after confirmed that Su Mo was a Rank 7 Martial Honorable.

It was a joke for a Rank 7 Martial Honorable to accept the mission!

“This… Senior Bai, Su Mo hasn’t confirmed that he will complete the mission. He will just wait for an appropriate chance!” Saint Zhen Xian awkwardly admitted.

It was indeed unsuitable for a Rank 7 Martial Honorable to have accepted the mission and even he knew that Su Mo did not have any hope of completing the mission.

Senior Bai shook his head inwardly. Find a chance? Was that possible?

However, he did not bother to argue and waved his hand to say, “All of you, return!”

“Understood!” Everyone answered before they withdrew their spiritual consciousnesses and left the Empty Space to return to the outside world.

Su Mo and Saint Zhen Xian also withdrew their spiritual consciousnesses and returned to the outside world.

“Senior Zhen Xian, who is Senior Bai?”

Su Mo asked Saint Elder Zhen Xian curiously. He wanted to know where Senior Bai came from and which superpower he belonged to.

“Senior Bai is a stateless person. Aside from Myriad World Mountain, he does not belong to any superpower!” Saint Elder Zhen Xian replied.

“A stateless person!” Su Mo exclaimed in surprise. He had thought that Senior Bai must be a Grand Elder from some superpower.

“Mm, Senior Bai is frighteningly strong and perhaps, he is comparably to Yin Shen of the Sun Moon Tribe. He also has a revered name in the universe.”

Saint Elder Zhen Xian nodded his head before he continued, “It is about time, let’s go!”

“Alright!” Su Mo nodded his head.

With that, he followed Saint Zhen Xian out of the manor.
