Chapter 1874: Nothing Has Changed
Su Mo was full of surprise. The 800 kilometer wide space in the Sacred Green Ring was actually the Wild Mountain Range.
How could this be?
Wasn’t Firmament World blasted into bits by the Sorcerer Tribe? If it was completely destroyed, how could the Wild Mountain Range have turned into a 800 kilometer wide spacial device?
A few moments later, Su Mo slowly calmed himself down as a deep, pondering expression crossed his eyes.
Could the Firmament World not have been completely destroyed, but split by the Sorcerer Tribesmen into individual pieces that were dispersed throughout the starry sky? The Wild Mountain Range must be one of the pieces that were broken apart.
This fragment must have been obtained by the Sorcerer Tribe in the starry space and refined into a Sacred Class spacial device.
The more Su Mo thought, the higher the possibility of the scenario seemed. This was the only way to explain what he saw.
Furthermore, according to what he knew, it was a high ranked Martial Honorable and not a Martial Sage who destroyed Firmament World.
Although the space in Firmament World was weak, it had a large territory. A typical high-ranked Martial Honorable would definitely not be able to completely destroy the world in a single blow.
“It must be like that!” A bright flash of light crossed Su Mo’s eyes. If that was the case, could he form Firmament World again if he gathered all the fragments of the world?
After a long moment of silence, Su Mo took a deep breath. His cultivation rank was far too low now and the workload needed in this task was large. He didn’t have the ability to involve himself now.
With a mental thought, he entered the Sacred Green Ring space.
The large Wild Mountain Range that looked like it could support the sky stood in the space. Without any sound, a flash of light crossed the air and Su Mo landed on the top of a mountain peak.
Whew!
Sighing loudly, Su Mo felt the dense Spiritual Qi pour towards him. The Spiritual Qi around him was much denser than it was before.
Evidently, the refinement of the Sacred Green Ring had utilized a large number of arrays that transformed the place. Not only was the Spiritual Qi in the atmosphere much denser than it was before, the space had become much more compact and stable.
Su Mo stood on top of the mountain peak as his eyes gazed into the distance. A large number of demonic creatures in the mountains were roaring loudly.

Although the Wild Mountain Range had been transformed into a spacial device, the numerous living creatures in it were still alive.
At the same time, the creatures could be considered to have benefitted from the increase in density of Spiritual Qi in the atmosphere.
Granted, they would lose their freedom unless the owner of the Sacred Green Ring let them go.
A large number of demonic creatures were around the holy mountain because this was their territory.
Su Mo carefully looked at the demonic creatures and found that they were all staring directly back at him.
Since he had not hidden his aura around him, the demonic creatures were trembling in fear at the sight of him.
Out of the corner of his eye, Su Mo spotted two familiar demonic creatures, one was a golden-furred gorilla while the other was a white-coated tiger.
Mesmerizing golden light reflected off the fur of the gorilla and it looked similar to the Battling Sacred Apes. However, it appeared much wilder and did not have much semblance of a human figure.
Su Mo immediately recognized it as the golden gorilla that he had used previously. Although the gorilla was much smaller than it had been before, its aura remained unchanged.
On the other hand, the white tiger had a pair of wings behind its back that were completely snow white.
This white tiger was the white tiger that had been brought to the Wild Mountain from the Divine Map.
Among the many demonic creatures, these two creatures were relatively higher ranked, as they had reached the Level 7 realm. This was comparable to the strength of a Martial Emperor’s strength.
Su Mo did not worry about the crowd of demonic creatures. His body flashed and he lowered himself to the foot of the mountain where an entrance into the mountain was located.
Taking a step in, Su Mo found a large space that housed the four palaces.
Among them, 3 palaces were the living quarters of Qin Busi, Yi Xiaoxiao’s master and the Eight-winged Drake.
However, at that point, the place was entirely silent, with no signs of life.
Upon arriving at the palaces, Su Mo felt a warm sense of familiarity rush into him and he couldn’t help sighing as he recalled his strength before.
20 years had passed by quickly but everything had remained unchanged.
A few moments later, Su Mo sighed a deep breath and walked into the holy mountain.
Swish!
With a flash of his body, Su Mo flew towards the white tiger and the golden ape.

Roar! Roar!
The two beasts growled deeply in its throat upon seeing Su Mo fly towards them. However, they did not run away as they did not sense any threat from Su Mo.
Furthermore, the two of them recognized Su Mo. Su Mo not only dictated Firmament World, he had gone to the Holy Mountain many times before.
“Are you able to shift?” Su Mo stared at the 2 demonic creatures and lightly asked.
Although the ranks of the 2 demonic creatures weren’t high, Su Mo could confirm that they were not ordinary. The golden ape could be a side tribe of the Battling Sacred Apes tribe while the white tiger reminded Su Mo of a legendary beast.
The two beasts exchanged suspicious looks with each other as they heard Su Mo’s words before bright light flashed out of them.
The white tiger transformed into a white-shirted young man while the golden ape shifted into a golden-robed young man. However, his face was entirely covered with golden fur and he had an ape-like mouth on his face.
“Greetings to senior!” The two young men instantly cupped their fists towards Su Mo. Since Su Mo had a higher cultivation rank than them, they naturally had to be respectful to him.
They could shift into their human forms but they typically didn’t want to maintain their human figures.
“Mm!”
Su Mo nodded his head before his voice deepened and he asked, “Do you guys know what happened 10 over years ago?”
“Over 10 years ago, the world was struck by a mysterious blow that split the earth. The Wild Mountain Range was split apart from the world!” the white tiger said.
“After that?” Su Mo continued.
“Later, the Wild Mountain Range floated through the empty space, and half a year later it was pulled by a strange force into a space. Spiritual Qi started to become denser and denser in the mountain range and we were trapped here!” the golden colored ape replied.
“What about the rest of the world?”
“I am not sure. But they could be destroyed entirely, like the Wild Mountain Range!”
“Who is the leader of the demonic creatures here?”
“Us two!”
“…”
Su Mo asked many questions to the two demonic creatures. However, the things that the two demonic creatures knew were limited.
A long while later, Su Mo took a deep breath. He was powerless in the situation now and once his cultivation rank increased, he would gather back all the fragments of Firmament World.
With that, he prepared to leave the mountain range.
“Senior, do you know where are the 3 leaders of our mountain?” Right at that moment, the white tiger asked, his face full of hope.
He knew that the 3 leaders had wanted to escape Firmament World like Su Mo.
“The 3 of them?”
Su Mo’s mind turned towards Qin Busi, Guangtou Dahan and the black-shirted young man before he sighed, “They left a long time ago, but I am not sure where they went.”
With that, Su Mo turned towards the demonic creatures and said, “I have left Firmament World already and I can give you the freedom to venture through the universe.”
The two demonic creatures jumped in shock as their eyes welled up with emotion. Their cultivation ranks had reached the Rank 9 Martial Emperor Realm and they naturally wanted to leave the Wild Mountain Range.
Yet, Firmament Worlds had been sealed up and there was no way for them to get out. As such, they desperately wanted to leave the world.
The two heavily nodded their heads as their eyes filled with anticipation. Many demonic creatures in the distance held the same looks.
Without speaking further words, Su Mo left the Wild Mountain Range and appeared outside the Sacred Green Ring.
Time flew by and a few days later, he arrived at Myriad World Mountain. Not staying for long, he directly headed towards the wormhole for Ah Mi Galaxy.
The teleportation started and Su Mo sat down cross-legged as he began to cultivate.
Ah Mi Galaxy was relatively far away and the time needed for him to travel would be long. As such, Su Mo did not want to waste any time.
Although he could not break through his cultivation rank now, he could increase his Dark Force stability. If he raised the mastery ranks of his Sacred Class Martial Skills to the Rank 2 Realm, his strength would increase sharply.
By then, he might even be able to fight against an End Realm Martial Sage with his Rank 8 Martial Honorable Realm.
Su Mo then began to refine the Cangyun Sacred Sect Fire Skill after clearing his mind.
Thick fire-based Dark Force rushed out of his Divine Elixir, heating up his body to reach a burning-hot temperature.
In the midst of Su Mo’s cultivation as he absorbed himself entirely in cultivation, time flew by quickly.

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.

The wish trials
The God of reincarnation has brought to many idiots back to life with ridiculous wishes and the high council is sick of it messing up their worlds. So a new God was brought in. One that actually made people earn their new lives. But the actions of this unknown deity cause a boy's life to spiral out of control. After a tragic incident, the boy meets the diety where he requests to be able to fly. To accommodate this desire he allows the Boy to complete his task in the body of a random bird. There's only one problem, this bird cant fly. Follow the voices in the boy's head as he struggles to survive and grow stronger so he can get the life he always wanted. Criticism would be great. I also have heavy dyslexia along with some other metal 'uniqueness' so this whole story is a big F you to it but I am sorry for any and all inevitable mistakes.
