Chapter 1983: Linghu Tianhua
“Hm? He has returned?”
Inside the King Sage Hall was the same crowd of Martial Sages and they were confused when they saw Su Mo return.
Su Mo ignored the crowd as he stood in front of the stone pillar. Lifting his head, he observed that Mo Jue was still ranked third on the King Sage Board.
At that point, Long Teng was ranked fourth on the board, closely following Mo Jue. This pushed Su Mo to fifth place.
On the other hand, Linghu Tianhua and Sun Dashan were in the seventeenth and nineteenth places respectively.
“He is actually taking so long!” Su Mo’s eyebrows furrowed together. It had been so many days but Mo Jue still had not appeared.
Mo Jue must have been incredibly strong to have persevered in battle all the way till now.
However, at that point, Mo Jue, Long Teng, Linghu Tianhua and Sun Dashan’s names were no longer flashing although they were still illuminated.
This meant that the four of them were no longer attempting the King Sage Board but were receiving the Opportunity.
Since they were accepting the Opportunity, it would not be long before they appeared.
Su Mo silently stood before the stone pillar, his face dark and cold as he continued to wait.
No one could understand Su Mo’s actions. What was Su Mo waiting for?
Yet, they observed Su Mo’s cold face and no one decided to be a busybody and interact with Su Mo.
Even the young man and lady who wanted to get close to Su Mo and inquire about his real identity gave up on that thought eventually.
After all, both of them were not familiar with Su Mo and since Su Mo hid his combat strength and identity, he must not have wanted to reveal himself.
“Senior, why do I feel like something has changed about him?” The lady surveyed Su Mo and whispered to the young man beside her.
“What has changed?” The young man asked softly.
“It seems that his cultivation rank has increased!” The young lady held a confused look in her eyes.

“He is still at the Initial Stage Martial Sage Rank!” The young man carefully surveyed Su Mo and did not find that anything had changed. Su Mo was still an Initial Stage Martial Sage in his eyes.
“It’s just a feeling!” The lady replied. Shangguan Hao did appear to still be an Initial Stage Martial Sage but she felt that Shangguan Hao had became stronger.
That was because Su Mo’s Illusionary Technique had not been dismissed and although he was a Middle Stage Martial Sage now, the cultivation rank that was displayed was still the Initial Stage Martial Sage Realm.
As such, no one could tell that Su Mo’s cultivation rank had increased by a rank.
Su Mo quietly waited. If Mo Jue was still fighting, Su Mo would enter the stone pillar again. However, since Mo Jue was accepting the Opportunity, he must have been about to appear and hence Su Mo did not enter the stone pillar.
Su Mo beamed with joy as he spotted Long Teng’s name. Su Mo was very satisfied that Long Teng was now ranked fourth on the King Sage Board.
However, Long Teng’s combat strength did not appear as strong as Mo Jue then.
Nonetheless, Long Teng had a short period of cultivation and it had not been long since his Blood Force evolved. Furthermore, Long Teng had not learned much of the ultimate Dragon Tribe skills!
In time, Long Teng would have the hopes of topping the King Sage Board.
Granted, that was if Su Mo did not make it to first place.
Buzz~~
Right at that moment, a soft buzzing sound echoed from the stone pillar. The space in front of the stone pillar vibrated slightly before a figure appeared in front of Su Mo.
This man stood tall and appeared grand in the golden long robe he wore. His face was dashing as his eyebrows arched in a way that showed his coldness. At the same time, his eyes were sharp and seemed to pierce through souls.
“Brother Linghu, congratulations on being ranked seventeenth on the King Sage Board!”
“Linghu, congrats!”
“Congratulations!”
As the crowd saw the young man appear, they cupped their fists immediately and greeted the young man.

No one dared to look down on an End Stage Martial Sage who could be ranked seventeenth on the King Sage Board.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Linghu Tianhua had the strength to be in the top three of the King Sage Board in the future.
As a human, Linghu Tianhua was even more respected by the crowd.
The majority of the crowd were humans and most of them hoped that a godly talent would appear among the humans who would have the hopes of being ranked in the top ten and maybe even the top three on the King Sage Board.
Su Mo glanced at Linghu Tianhua before he ignored him. Linghu Tianhua was strong and there was a sharp aura around the man, showing that he was a swordsman.
However, no one below the Empty God Realm could be considered Su Mo’s opponent at that point.
Even the top ranked on the King Sage Board, Long Xiaotian, could not spar with Su Mo.
“Everyone is too gracious!” Linghu Tianhua nodded his head lightly as he received the greetings from the crowd.
Although he was strong, he had to be gracious in front of the crowd of Martial Sage.
“Get lost!”
Right at that point, Linghu Tianhua ordered rudely as he stared at the young man in front of him.
The young man stood in front of the stone pillar, blocking his way.
This young man in front of Linghu Tianhua was Su Mo.
Yet Su Mo maintained a cold face and ignored Linghu TIanhua’s words as he continued standing in front of the stone pillar.
Linghu Tianhua’s eyebrows instantly furrowed as he saw Su Mo’s actions. With that, he surveyed Su Mo and his face darkened.
The young man in front of him was a mere Initial Stage Martial Sage but he had the audacity to ignore him!
“Are you disregarding me?” Linghu Tianhua confronted the young man, his voice ringing out coldly.
Su Mo remained silent as he continued to stare at Mo Jue’s name on the King Sage Board.
Disregarded!
Utterly disregarded!
Su Mo ignored Linghu Tianhua, he did not have any plans of bothering with the arrogant man.
Many people stared curiously at the scene before them. This Shangguan Hao was audacious to completely ignore Linghu Tianhua.
Linghu Tianhua’s face blackened considerably and even his eyes started to deepen.
He was exceptionally talented and not many in Infinite Region could surpass him. Ever since he had practiced cultivation, no one had disregarded him as much as the young man in front of him.
It was a humiliation to Linghu Tianhua, in front of the whole crowd.
“You are seeking your own death!”
Sharp killing intent surged out of Linghu Tianhua’s eyes as he stared daggers at Su Mo, as though he would kill the young man out of rage.
As he felt the cold killing intent on him, Su Mo turned around and glared at Linghu Tianhua.
“Since you are from the Sacred Sword Sect, I will spare you. Get lost!” Su Mo coldly uttered.
In actual fact, he was not considering the Sacred Sword Sect but giving Li Tongtian some face.
Anyone else who cursed at Su Mo like Linghu Tianhua did would have been immediately taught a lesson.
“What?” Linghu Tianhua jumped in surprise as he heard Su Mo’s words. He had not imagined that the Initial Stage Martial Sage in front of him would be so arrogant!
Everyone around them stared blankly in front of them. The two were about to confront each other.
Linghu Tianhua’s eyes shot out cold radiance as Dark Force gathered in his palm.
“Brother Linghu, this is Shanggaun Hao who is ranked fifth on the King Sage Board. You are both top talents!”
Right at that point, a young King Sage quickly spoke, sensing the storm that was about to brew.
He was trying to persuade the two from fighting, informing Linghu Tianhua that Shangguan Hao was ranked fifth on the King Sage Board.
He knew Linghu Tianhua and did not want Linghu Tianhua to dig his own grave.
Although Linghu Tianhua was strong, it was obvious that he was not a match for Shangguan Hao.

Alive?
In the ruins of a once glorious city, a mage awakens. As the sole survivor(?) of the cataclysm that destroyed his entire species, he’s forced to adapt. While learning the intricacies of his new body, he must first carve out a place for himself in a familiar yet foreign world before he can set out to reclaim his heritage. I cannot stress this enough: the character is not human, do not expect him to react like one. I know the hand on the cover only has five finger, but I doubt I am going to find a royalty free radiography with two perfectly functional thumbs placed in a sensible way anytime soon. The rewrite is finished. Beta readers are welcomed and I am still wondering whether I should put the sci-fi tag or not.
