《Warrior’s Promise》Warrior's Promise

"Lady, there are six palaces in the Reincarnation Holy Court. How come they are autonomous and un-unified?" Su Mo fielded his first question.
His question was masterfully crafted. Its aim was to find out about the present situation and yet avoid the trio to become suspicious of his identity.
"Lord of the Heavenly Sovereign has entered into the reincarnation cycle. There is presently no ultimate leader in the Reincarnation Holy Court, moreover there is no suitable leader with the stature and authority to lead the six palaces!" the lady in white Luo Yu answered matter-of-factly.
This was the truth and a well-know fact. She felt no qualms in revealing a fact that everyone had known.
Upon hearing her answer, Su Mo was alarmed. There was no one to lead the Reincarnation Holy Court. That indicated that Di Yihun had yet to assume power of the Reincarnation Holy Court.
However, it was puzzling. What could be the factors that had caused such a situation?
Was it because Di Yihun had not taken over the leadership control and power? Or was he incompetent? Or there was some conspiracy going on within the six palaces?
Su Mo could not fathom the situation. He gathered his thoughts quickly and stated his second question.
Within moments, he asked: "If this is the case, does it mean that Reincarnation Holy Court is the weakest amongst the various courts? Is there any palace within the six palaces that gives a thought to unifying the courts?"
"Of course there is. Within the Reincarnation Holy Court, Lord of the Heavenly Sovereign possesses two reincarnated bodies. They are distributed in the Heavenly Palace and the Earth Palace!" Luo Yu replied gently. Even though she had no idea what the reason behind Su Mo's motivation to understand the present situation of the Reincarnation Holy Court was, she had no intention to withhold any truth.
Upon hearing this, Su Mo remained unfiltered. However he was alarmed.
In a flash. many thoughts raced through his mind. He had finally understood the reason behind Di Yishun's failure to unify the six palaces.
It was precisely because of another reincarnated body Tuoba Qingyun.
Due to the powerful support given to Tuoba Qingyun, Di Yihun's power was contained.
Su Mo was unclear whether Tuoba Qingyun was born in the Diety Plane or he was one of the Ascended Beings.
He was also unaware as to the reason that could have resulted in Tuoba Qingyun's power being given by one of the courts. However it was a fact that only Tuoba Qingyun was able to stand firm again Di Yihun.
Otherwise, Tuoba Qingyun could not have survived till this moment.
Su Mo was puzzled. If Di Yihun was the Original Soul, what could be the reason for the lack of forthcoming support to him from the six palaces?

"You have one more question to ask before I ask you to leave immediately!" Luo Yu reminded the reticent Su Mo.
When Su Mo heard this, he heaved his breath and continued, "The reincarnated body of the Lord of the Heavenly Sovereign must have been supremely powerful. What would be his current cultivation?"
"He is a Supreme Being at the Middle Level!" Luo Yu answered.
"I understand. I shall take my leave!"
Su Mo nodded as he fished out a Storage Ring and threw over to the lady in white. He bade farewell and departed.
Since he had promised a reward in return for his questions, he would stay committed to his given word.
Luo Yu caught the Storage Ring and she kept it after taking a peep at it.
These stones were of no meaningful value to her. However, since Su Mo had given out, she would take them.
"Sister Luo Yu, what a strange man that is!" the petite lady frowned and said after seeing Su Mo's shadow disappeared.
"Precisely. His motive is suspicious as he attempted to know all about the situation at the Reincarnation Holy Court." Chu Yan agreed.
"No need to worry about him. He's merely a warrior from the Empty God Realm. What can he do?" Luo Yu shook her head and continued, "The most pressing task at this moment is to get ready to enter the Spatiotemporal City six days later."
"That's right!" Chu Yan and the petite lady nodded in unison. The trio returned to each of their rooms.
Their journey from the Reincarnation Holy Court had not been easy. They ought to optimise the opportunity of this trip.
...
Su Mo returned to his room. As he sat on the futon, he was quiet and deep in his thoughts, his eyes staring into space.
Six palaces? The Heavenly Palace? The Earth Palace?
Su Mo thought swiftly. He had devised a plan. It was a bold and risky plan which would allow him to win against danger.
This plan was for him to go over to the other four palaces within the Reincarnation Holy Court.
Di Yihun and Tuoba Qingyun each were able to garner support from one palace. So could he.
If he could convince a palace to support him, he would be on par with Di Yihun.
Obviously, this would be a risky strategy. He lacked inside knowledge of the situation within the six palaces.
If his plan failed, he would perish as a result.
At this moment, he had four options to contemplate.
The first option was to search for Ling Chang. His safety would be assured with Ling Chang's help.
A second option would be to call for him to continue to practise and incubate.

A third option would be for him to go over to the Chaotic Holy Court. He had been practising the Grand Chaos Five Elements Skill and had inherited the Chaos God Emperor's orthodox practice. It would be easy for him to join the Chaotic Holy Court.
The fourth option would be to go over to the Reincarnation Holy Court.
Su Mo sat in meditation quietly. He thought it over and over repeatedly. He was contemplating the pros and cons of his fourth option.
The first option was his preference. Number two option would give him freedom. The third option was the safest option. The fourth option would be the riskiest of all the contemplated options.
On the contrary, Su Mo thought that the fourth option would be the safest out of all the four outcomes.
None of the three choices would guarantee his safety.
Supreme beings have remarkable abilities. He reckoned that if Di YIhun would wish to locate him, it would be an easy feat for the supreme being.
Therefore, Su Mo felt that once his presence at the Deity Plane was confirmed, he would soon be discovered.
When that happened, his life and death would be out of his own hands.
With his current skills, it would be the ultimate challenge for Su Mo to take a blow from Di Yihun within the next few centuries.
His preferred backing would be the Chaotic Holy Court, for its power. The Chaos God Emperor was renowned for his might.
However, Su Mo had some reservations about the Chaotic Holy Court.
Would the Chaotic Holy Court offer him protection solely because he had mastered their Chaotic skills?
Su Mo pondered whether the Chaotic Holy Court would offer him their support and protection for his talent?
That would hinge on whether the Chaotic Holy Court would wish for the return of the Reincarnation Heavenly Sovereign.
On the surface, it appeared that the Chaotic Holy Court had no wish for the return of the Reincarnation Heavenly Sovereign. With his return, the Reincarnation Holy Court would restore its power and glory.
However, such a perception would be far from the reality. Because both Di Yihun and Tuoba Qingyun were still alive.
If the Chaotic Holy Court or any other Holy Court had not wished for the return of the Reincarnation Heavenly Sovereign, they would have made an attempt to eliminate Di Yihun and Tuoba Qingyun.
The truth is that both Di Yihun and Tuoba Qingyun had been groomed to the realm of Supreme Beings.
That was evidence that the other holy courts had not laid a finger on both men.
If not for the two supreme beings, the six powerful palaces within the Reincarnation Holy Court would have no means to withstand the attacks from the Archean warriors.
What would be the meaning of all of this?
It indicated that all the other holy courts would not mind the return of the Reincarnation Heavenly Sovereign. In fact, they had longed for his return.
Su Mo was unaware of the real underlying reasons. However he was absolutely certain that his speculation would be far from the truth.
If that was the case, his trip to the Reincarnation Holy Court would be risky.
"Even if the Chaotic Holy Court does not mind, or even hopes for the return of the Reincarnation Heavenly Sovereign, then I must not go over to the Chaotic Holy Court!"
Su Mo muttered. His choice of plan would determine his life and death.
"Go over to the Reincarnation Holy Court!"
After a few short moments, Su Mo decided to bite the bullet. He had to risk it all.
Moreover, perhaps the most dangerous place would be the safest place.
Once he reached the Reincarnation Holy Court, even if he had failed his original intent, he had to grab an opportunity to be groomed.
He made up his mind and he heaved a sigh of relief. His burden seemed to have been lifted all of a sudden.
He would proceed with this plan. It would be far better off that chasing around like a headless chicken in the Deity Plane.
Despite the perils, once he could achieve his intent, he would be able to turn the tides around and fight for a chance to survive.
However he would embark on his journey to the Reincarnation Holy Court after he had been through the Spatiotemporal City.
Within moments, Su Mo was able to dispel his fleeting thoughts and began his meditation.
Time had passed by quickly. Six days had been and gone.
In the early morning, Su Mo left the travel inn and travelled towards the high skies.
When he reached the centre of the city, he discovered that the people who had gathered in the vast open land was far more than six days ago.
There were heads everywhere.
"All these folks have wanted to enter the Spatiotemporal City?" Su Mo was taken aback. He had heard rumours that the Spatiotemporal City was a dangerous place. Did people have no fear of death?
"Look! Brother Chu Yan and Sister Luo Yu, that man is here again!"
The petite lady discovered Su Mo amidst the large throngs of crowds. She whispered to her companions.
"Qin'er, don't fret. This man, like us, also wishes to enter the Spatiotemporal City!"
Chu Yan spoke softly. He sneered, "How dare he make the attempt to enter the Spatiotemporal City when his skills are low and less than a god's?"
