"I really feel like Lady Luck is shinning upon me but more than that is it a system notification popping hour or what? So many ringing and messages, though I'm glad but still this feels too abnormal."
Jay starts running back towards the previous place where he had left Dun Young.
Thanks to him Leveling up and gaining extra stats, his speed was increased and it took him less than an hour to come out of the forest.
"Hmm, it took him less than half the time to exit the forest when compared to him entering the first to its core."
Dun was shocked at this unexpected development that Jay had gone through.
"Hey, I'm back. You didn't encounter any beast did you when I was away?"
The first thing that Jay asked was whether Dun had been attacked. Jay knew very well how powerful an S-Rank Hunter is But he couldn't help but worry.
"Ahh... no not at all. In fact I didn't see any movement either."
Dun was still pretending to weak by making his body shiver to show as if he was a coward.
"But you haven't bright any bait... weren't you able to hunt any beast?"
"Ah! No, well I encountered the 3 headed Serpent in the forest and I killed it so a Bait wasn't needed anymore."
Dun was already surprised at his achievement and hence showed a genuine sign of being awed.

"Amazing!!!! You were able to hunt an S-Rank monster as if it was nothing, are you probably a top S-Rank hunter?"
"Eh? S-rank beast?", was what Jay said suddenly when he heard about the serpent.
"Yes, didn't you know about it? Even an S-Rank hunter will have hard time dealing with it because if it's poison and 3 heads. So it's pretty amazing that you killed it. Can I know your name Sir?"
Dun Young continued to pretend but the respect that he showed was somewhat genuine. It wasn't some trap or greediness rather it was his instinct that said him that the person before him was someone who would shake the whole world soon.
"Me? Haha, I'm not someone famous so it's fine don't worry."
"But..."
Jay didn't listen to him and immediately said, "Come let's leave this place."
Dun Young immediately asked, "Do you know a way to leave?"
It was a place that existed in another dimension totally different from their homeland. There were only 2 ways to exit such places, one of them is either having the proper tool like key to exit the place, and the second is having forced teleportation pearls.
Forced teleportation pearls are very rare and if actually counted there would be no more than 30 of them throughout the world and also the fact was that it could be used only once.
Such pearls are given to only the powerful and high ranking hunters to help them escape in dire situations since no one can afford to lose a powerhouse of S-rank.
However, there was one flaw in the Forced Teleportation Pearl and that was that it could only be used in an ordinary S-rank gate/Portal/dungeon.
If the dungeon or the place exceeded S-Rank then the pearls would be a waste.

"Does he have the forced teleportation pearls or....?"
"Come let's go!"
Jay took out the key that was necessary to exit the dungeon and opened the portal again that would allow them to exit.
Both of them enter the Portal and finally come out of the weird place back to their homeland.
"Finally, I'm back home...", Jay's eyes were filled with tears for some reason. He was relaxed now after a long and tiring journey.
"Phew, now it's good. Hey mister, you can...", while saying this he turned towards Dun Young but found that he had vanished. In fact he left earlier as soon as they had exited through the Portal.
"Maybe he went already... but this is weird, why was it necessary for him to act in the first place? And if he knew that there was a Portal in the car then why did he allow me to enter the car in the first place?"
He had many questions and many doubts but he could do nothing other than just wait for the right time to find out the answers.
"Sigh, for now, let's go home...."
After saying this Jay started to climb down the stairs since he was standing on top of a 50 storey building.

This is a coming-of age story of a kobold, set in a rather generic D&D universe. That doesn't mean it has to end badly, just that it has to end.
