The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 69

"We don't know who exactly were chosen but the portals were put at specific places, and if only the hunter was strong enough as that if B rank, he would be sucked into the Portal..."
"Oh..."
"They all have been gathered near the entrance of a dungeon which is believed to be..."
"Believed to be?"
"Haha, it's believed that it is an S-Rank dungeon which has 2 BOSSES!"
"..."
"What the heck!!!? Are you serious!!!?"
"Yup... dead serious!"
"Oh my God, this is dangerous! But why the fuck are they calling only B rank hunters?"
"No idea about it. I am just doing what I was asked to do."
Dun Young was pretty much tensed since the matter was not as simple as it would seem. Appearance of any normal S-Rank Dungeon or gate is itself a huge threat but appearance of an abnormal S-Rank gate is beyond comparable.
Also at least one S-Eank hunter lee party is needed to clear this and that too isn't sure that they can clear it by 100%!
But Res was speaking too calmly as if it was not a big issue and that was precisely making Yoing even more furious. But he had to control himself despite that.
He immediately said, "I'll go then..."
Res shook his head and denied it.
"What man? I can't even go nor can I do anything! Are the association fucking with me?"
Res sighed and said, "Listen, we have been prohibited to enter the place. In fact we absolutely can't enter the place."
"Huh? What do you mean by can't!?"
Res explained, "There seems to be a barrier which isn't allowing any hunter beyond rank A and below rank B to enter it..."
"Holy shit... you mean to say..."
Res nodded his head as if it was a great issue. Dun was completely nervous now and he was sweating a lot due to that.
He couldn't have imagined in his wildest dreams for such a dungeon to appear.
"Damn, out of all things, a dungeon with brains has appeared."
There are many dungeons that exist in the world which appeared out of nowehere. Humans have them different names and ranks to specify their difficulties and their characteristics.
Among them was one of the most dangerous dungeons which they called as - THE ID.

ID - Intelligent Dungeon also called as the Dungeon with Brains was capable of changing its own traps and soaring the monsters endlessly.
Many hunters were slaughtered in such a dungeon which had appeared once long ago. Such dungeons always set up a parameter and allow only a selected few of Hunters.
The last time such a dungeon had appeared, it set the parameter as [NUMBER]. Only 30 hunters were allowed to enter the dungeon. And this time the parameter was [RANK].
Res sighed and said, "Hmm, not only the parameter this time is [RANK] but also there is a time limit to complete the raid."
"..."
"Bro, please stop giving me heart attacks..."
Res stared at him and wondered if he shouldn't have told that.
"Is this what they call mission impossible?"
Res shook his head and replied, "I am not sure..."
And just as he had finished saying he smirked for unknown reason and said, "Interesting..."
"Huh? What's wrong with you man? Here I am tensed because it is a critical situation and you are laughing?"
He smiled again and said, "What else can I do when our little champ was just transported in front of the dungeon's entrance..."
"..."
"Little champ? What does that—"
"Haha, did you realise?", he laughed out loudly as if he was pleased.
"Don't tell me, you are talking about Jay Down?"
"Yup! Precisely!"
"OH MY GOD!!! STOP THIS SHIT!!!"
AT THE SAME TIME...
'BAM'
"Ouch, that hurt..."
"Looks like another guy has come."
"But he looks too young!"
Jay opened his eyes while he was cussing at the Portal that just transported him without any warning. He looked around the people who were standing in front of him.
They looked to be in their 30s while a very few of them were around 21-25.
But Jay and another person was the youngest there.
There was a lot of commotion and everything was in chaos.
"Why have you bright here? I was finally going home after my work!! Dammit!!", many were just complaining and shouting.
Nothing was being understood by anyone. It was too noisy and amidst them Jay found an interesting person.
He looked at him carefully and while he was doing that, the guy immediately stared back at him.

Jay waved his hand as if he was greeting him and saying 'Hi' but the short guy wearing circular framed glasses turned back and was looking for whom Jay was calling to.
Jay used some signs to convey that it was no one else other than him to whom he was calling to and after understanding that the boy too waved his hand.
Jay immediately showed him a sign to come towards him so that they could go to a silent place and relax. But the unusual guy again turned back to find the person who was being called by Jay.
'Is he an idiot or what?' is what he thought in his mind. It took a while for the guy to understand but he definitely came towards Jay.
Both of them were conversing with sign languages until they had gone to a quiet place that was a bit back where less noise was reaching from their scream.
Finally they talked, "Hi, I'm Jay Down, you can call me Jay! I'm 18. Nice to meet you."
The young man immediately said, "I'm Yuuma, Tenma Yuuma, 19 years old. Nice to meet you too."
"..."
"Eh What!!? You are elder than me!!!?"
Yuuma nodded his head as if he was agreeing to what he was telling.
"Ahem, then Yuuma senpai~", Jay tried to call him politely but it turned out to be awkward and he felt u comfortable.
"Just call me Yuu, Jay."
"Okay Yuu Senpai!", he didn't even show a bit of hesitation and immediately adapted in calling the new name.
Jay wasn't aware that he was being too nice and talkative with him and for some reason he who was unapproachable just earlier in the class was the first one to approach Yuu.
Both of them started talking a bit and then discussed about science. Yuu was extremely excited in talking about science since he was a nerd. He started preaching novels about science which made Jay bored but he was a little interested too.
But the thoughts that Yuu expressed were amazing. It was making Jay himself think about many other things and for some reason he kept on wondering something - 'Tenma Yuuma, where have I heard this name?'.
For some reason he felt a familiarity with him. Then soon they had changed from science to history and started to talk about many things. Amidst the chaos, these both were the only ones who were calm.
After discussing about history they were going to talk about computers when suddenly a loud voice was heard as if it was announcing something.
2 men in black suit appeared out of nowhere and started announcing. Probably they were also bright here through the portals.
"Listen everyone, we have called you all for this raid that was assigned by the association!"
Just by listening this the intensity of chaos increased. Both the men paused for a while and then suddenly another voice was heard which made everyone shut their mouth.
"SILENCE!"
It was as if he had dominated them and conquered their fear. Regardless of that it didn't have any effect on Jay and Yuu because they were a bit far away or maybe because they were afraid.
They got up from their positions and moved towards the crowd. The men started to describe the situation they were in to which everyone started supporting.
"It's an emergency so we have transported you all here! Everyone present here is at least an A or B rank!"
Everyone glanced at each other since it was announced that all were on par with each other.
"So we are going to raid this minute dungeon which is just any other B-Rank dungeon!", he said it very casually as if it was nothing as he was lying in reality.
He was basically giving false information and deceiving them, but that tactics didn't work on Jay since he had the system which was clearly telling that the dungeon was S-Rank.
Regardless all of them got excited and immediately departed at the same time as soon as the dungeon gate was opened. Even Yuuma followed them.
Jay tried to stop him.
"Yuu!!! Don't go! It isn't safe because it is an..."
Yuuma turned back for a second and replied, "Because it is an S-Rank dungeon? I know, don't worry..."
The moment he left and entered the gate Jay successfully recalled who Tenma Yuuma was.
"Haha, I don't know what you are planning, but good luck, Yuu..."

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

The Underbelly
There's something wrong with Port City. In the aftermath of the Hyde Park massacre, the city increased its police force dramatically, and Wyatt Milter found himself in uniform, with a gun, a badge, and dreams of someday making detective, but with no clue how to actually make it happen. These days a new, ugly kind of violence is rising on the streets. As a bizarre group of characters emerges from Port City's underbelly, Wyatt will be forced into making a difficult decision. Will he remain a cop? Or will he serve a different kind of justice? (Author's Note: I started writing this about 10 years ago and only now got around to the idea of uploading it. As a result, much of this predates the rising popularity of the Green Arrow. I'm uploading as is, but future drafts will make minor alterations to the character to differentiate it.)

The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.
