The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 149

'ZOOM'
'ZWOOP'
All of a sudden Jay arrived at the inner part of the Sky dungeon.
It was the same part where the slabs were kept and when Jay would lift his head and see ahead, he would end up finding the passage for the next chamber where he had a battle with Makruin.
Though this time the view was a bit different from the time when he destroyed everything.
It seemed as if everything was as good as new and because of that of felt quite fresh.
The statues of the angels that were totally 9 in number were arranged in the same way as earlier.
8 on each side and one on the ceiling which Jay observed and said, "Oh... so the statue of the ninth angel was from here..."
Regardless, he hasn't come here to find out about these things, what he had actually come for was to get the so called artifact about which Akaluman was talking about.
Also, the system also highly regarded the artifact so without a doubt it should have been at least SS Rank or above.
Jay was by no means weak. By now he was really strong and the weapons which he had were also not bad.
Just that, he couldn't use the weapons in an unlimited way.
Though that didn't matter to him right now any way as he was tensed about looking at the secret door that was present in the dungeon.
No one had told him about the so called secret door, it was just a feeling or an instinct which guided him towards it.
"So it's here...?", he asked himself while looking at the statue of 6th angel.
He wasn't exactly expecting the door to be present there, what he was thinking off was about the shimmy marble that was hidden right behind the 6th angel's statue.
There was a weird aura being emitted from the crystal. Probably because Jay was weak earlier, he failed to detect it but right now in this state, he was easily able to find it.
'Hmm... what's this...?', he wanted to check it with the help of the system but it seemed like he had forgotten that the system was literally useless right now.
'Sys-', just as he was about to call it in his mind, he was able to recall and forgot the thought of taking its help.

"Never mind... I'll sort out something...", he said to himself.
Then he started to walk towards the passage that was present earlier through which he had passed before.
Now too he rushed and passed the passage immediately after which he arrived at the chamber where the broken pillars were present.
"This...", Jay was shocked to take a look at them.
The statues and other things in the previous area were all fixed, but this place where Jay and Makruin has a fight had almost no repair.
Even the craters that had been formed in the walls were still present which looked quite fresh too.
Regardless, he kept on walking forward when he found that there was another small passage present there.
He had previously not seen and hadn't explored the area because of the Makruin who ruined his body due to which he had to get hospitalised for a long time.
Though, he got the opportunity to take a look at that place and expected to find the so called artifact over there.
He just walked towards the passage and almost immediately entered it.
'Tap Tap Tap'
He just kept walking and even before realising it, he had already reached the next chamber.
He turned his head around and took a look at the place.
"What a..."
"Weird place..."
That was all that he told after looking at the place because it was quite dark yet visible but at the same time it gave a creepy feeling.
Right in front of him there was a huge statue of a woman holding a long staff in her hand.
"That's...", he was quite surprised after taking a look at that because it seemed somewhat familiar to him.
'Where...? Where have I seen this...?', was what he started to wonder.
But he didn't wanted tk waste any time and thus right away started to move away after looking at the statue a bit more.
He walked towards to walls and took a look at all the edges but found no other entrance or any other passage nearby.
"Hmm... there isn't anything more here...", was what he said to himself.
'So does that mean that the statue is the thing that will give me the artifact?', he thought for a while.
He looked at the statue keenly. The woman who was holding the staff was looking at something which Jay almost instantly noticed.

Though, the statue was quite huge and could be comparable with the size of the statues of the angels that were present outside earlier, it seemed quite different and small to him when he comprared that to Akaluman.
He didn't flinch, nor did he sweat. All he did was take a look at the place where the statue was looking at.
"What's... present there?", he wondered after raising his gazes towards the wall that was right behind him.
He wanted to use his skills to look at the place even more clearly, but he was reminded of the fact reheat the system was in a freezer state.
'Sigh...'
Though right now when he widened his eyes and looked at it carefully, he was able to see a small box like opened space that was present there.
'I wonder what's that...', he thought and then almost immediately jumped as high as possible.
Even though he couldn't use the skills right now, he still had his stats which were pretty much insane.
Thanks to that he was able to jump almostbhalf the height of the statue.
Because of a better angle and line of sight, the view became clearer.
Though it wasn't the best right now.
He then almost immediately landed on the ground while forming a small crater in the ground as well.
'Hmm... if I can't this way then perhaps...', he took a look at the steep wall and then decided to use it to climb.
He ran with all his might parallel to the wall and then slowly stepped on to it.
Then he started to run in an upward direction but it seemed like he couldn't maintain his grip and ended up falling soon.
'Sigh... what a bummer...'
"...", he was then engaged in deep thoughts and was planning to reach the spot that had been locked in his eyes when all of a sudden he got an amazing idea.
The chance of success of the idea wasn't known but it was worth to give a shot.
All of a sudden his eyes shined with a red light immedisyejy after which he bent and dashed towards the wall.
'If the angel is kept 45 degrees then...', it seemed as if he had already calculated something that would help him right now.
But theory was always not correct because of which there wasn't 100% guarantee that he would reach the spot.
But it seemed as if he had something else in his mind all along.
He didn't specifically wanted to run along the walls like earlier.
He just jumped from a distance after dashing a bit towards the wall.
For a moment it felt like he was flying because his jump was indeed powerful since it could help him cover a height that was half the height of the statue.
He reached the maximum height of the jump and was about to fall like earlier, but instead of a surprised face like before, he was grinning.
It was as if everything was going according to his plan.
'Summon... blood sword...'
All of a sudden the blood sword appeared out of nowhere in his hand.
It seemed as if the inventory was still open for him thanks to which he was able to do this.
'Phew...', he was stable for a second in the air and at that very moment he threw the sword at the wall.
'BAM'
The sword piecered the wall and caused a great sound which was loudly heard.
The sword was thrown almost at the same level as him, but it was a bit below than him as if it was at the same line as his legs.
He slowly pushed his legs a bit forward whole mustering his strength.
The legs somehow reached the sword and immediately after that he jumped again.
'CREAK'
'CRACK'
The sword reach the floor while slashing the entire wall.
The force was generated when Jay jumped from the sword.
It seemed as if he had been planning on using it as a stepping stone since earlier and thanks to that he was able to reach the square space that was present between the massive walls.
He balanced himself with his hand and took a look at what the place was.
'Huh...? This...'
He was surprised to find that there was a circle placed there as if something was to he kept.
'The... red crystal?', he thought and withdrew from inventory and placed it right away.
"..."
To be continued...

The Dungeon of Evolution
The greatest mage and researcher in the universe, Ian Irwin, known to only his closest friends died at far too young an age. For their own goals and to give the mage another chance at life, the Gods and Goddesses reincarnated him into a dungeon. Most would shudder at the thought, in fact Ian did, but not for the same reasons. The plants, animals, fungi, and monsters that inhabited dungeons fascinated Ian in a way nothing besides his wife had. Ian had studied everything he could about dungeons and now he could be one. Traumatising Content: Besides the purpose of dungeons, the presenting of evil morals as a positive is not present in this novel. Evil morals themselves, however, are present. Combined with the gore tag, there will be imagery present that could be considered traumatising. The absence of the sexual content tag means there will be no scenes of that nature. I, the author, apologize to any previous readers that, due to my previous clarification, read the story with the belief that scenes of disturbing imagery would not be present.

"I'm Screwed" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story uses the system derived by Puddles4263 in Randidly Ghosthound. I've incorporates the Path's system into the leveling of this story. Some of the beginning paths will be similar or the same as I thought that the starting paths were very logical on how a system should start. The stories will be completely different as the characters and story arcs will be completely different. Again, thank you Puddles for allowing me to use your system, really appreciate it! I also wanted to thank ProFound Magician. Has a lot of insight into a story development and as his system is based on Ghosthound, I saw a some beginning stage skills that should be thought of in a character just starting out. If you haven't yet read Ghosthound or Genesis System you're in for a real treat when you do! Thank you both I hope my use is seen as an homage in the beginning. Hopefully my story can live up to the system.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
