The moment he used stealth, he became invisible and so did the chest right after which he heard a loud cry which literally made his ears bleed.

"I WON'T GIVE YOU MY STAFF!!!"

"I WON'T GIVE YOU MY STAFF!!!"

"I WON'T GI-"

The same thing was being repeated again and again.

It seemed as if only Jay could hear that and probably because he used the skill Stealth which was the most confusing part.

'What's going on?'

'Who is crying...?'

He looked here and there but there seemed to be no one other than Res and himself.

But then again, there was definitely someone or rather something that was making this noise and right now the thing which Jay suspected the most was the extravagant statue that was right in front of him.

With his experience of a very few dungeons, he could already tell that there was nothing that could be called as insignificant in a dungeon.

And even if there was something like that, it would be totally or at least be partially placed in such a way that no one would even bother about it.

But right now the great statue that was right in front of him was completely visible to him and it was like the main thing in this scenario.

That was the thing which confused him the most because till now he thought that nothing was related to the statue.

However after hearing the screams, he could understand two things - one was that the scream was definitely related to the statue because the voice seemed like that of a female, and the other was that it was definitely related to the huge stone staff that she was holding.

Though he was not completely sure about it, the chances of this being the case was quite high.

He then decided to go close to him while dodging the attacks that were being fired at him.

'BOOM'

A fire ball directly landed right in front of him but thanks to his stealth, he wasn't affected by it.

Or rather, it would be best to say that he was indeed affected by it.

He was completely shocked at it because he was using stealth thinking that the attacker wouldn't be able to find him, but despite doing that, the attack was still almost on the target.

Even if the attack hit shim it would have no effect on him anyway because it would just past through him, but it was still annoying to see someone see through his stealth which was almost perfect and was one of the main skills which he used oftenly.

'No way... could it be...', he turned his gazes towards Res who was turning his head here and there.

For a second he thought that Res was joking and he was the one who using this opportunity to test his strength, but the reaction which Res was showing didn't match what Jay imagined.

But it was pretty weird that none of the attacks reached Res, not even once!

'If that's not it then...', he slowly lowered his head only to find that he was till holding the treasure box and the tattoo or the Runes.

It was not something that Res was holding so without a doubt Jay got the suspicion that the rune was probably what that was making him the target of the attacker.

'Then... does that mean that the one who is attacking me, can find me because of this rune?', he asked himself.

'What could be in this rune that is exposing me? ', he asked yet again.

It was because Stealth was a skill that could hide the presence and since it had upgraded just recently, it should do a better job.

But despite that, the rune seemed to have been getting exposed to reason unknown which was not a good thing right now and that could trouble him.

While he was thinking all this, Res seemed to notice something and called Jay.

"Jay! Can you hear me!?", Res called out to Jay right away as if he wanted to inform something.

"Y-yes!?", Shiro replied almost instantly.

"Good, now listen to me Jay...", he started to instruct Jay something that would help him escape the situation.

"Yes?"

"Place the rune on either of your arms!", he shouted.

"Ha!?", Jay was surprised to hear that.

He didn't even know what a rune was until a while ago and right now Res was just telling him to put the tattoos which are actually runes on his arms!

"Since you have more than 1 rune, try placing them on difference parts of your body!"

"Probably then you won't be target of the attack anymore!", Res said.

"How can you be so sure?", Jay asked.

Jay was curious to know if Res believed himself to say such a thing and that was why he asked.

"Just do as I say Jay... that is if you trust me.", Res said.

"...", Jay was mum for a moment when all of a sudden another fire ball came towards him and landed right in front of him.

Although he was using stealth, he was still now being able to detect the attacker.

Moreover, what Res said seemed to be somewhat believable because someone of his calliber won't be ridiculous enough to just sit and not do anything.

"I repeat myself, do you trust me!?", he asked with a raised voice to which Jay nodded his head.

But Res didn't see that since Jay was invisible anyway.

"Alright, I'll place all the tattoos on my body...", he decided to do that.

"Good..."

'I know Jay...'

'It's a bit hard to trust strangers but believe me...'

'Once you wear all the runes, the that idiotic statue will stop bothering you...'

It seemed as if Res knew from the start from where the attacks were coming from.

And it seemed he desperately tried to miss the second shot that would hit Jay.

For certain some reason he thought that Jay was powerful after seeing the news and hence till now all that he had been doing was acting and testing him.

Jay didn't think about anything else and was ready to place the Runes on his body when all of a sudden he paused.

He remembered that the system was perfectly working right now due to which he could get the description about the so called runes that Res was talking about.

'Ya, it's better if I take a look at what these runes are first...'

It was not that he didn't trust Res. It was just him being careful since prevention is better than cure.

That was why he thought that it would be better to know about the thing that he was going to use right now.

'System...', that was the only thing he thought in his mind right after which a message popped up.

'Ding'

-> Increases the physical stats of the body by 50%

-> Restructures muscles and ligaments to provide extra supportive strength.

-> Increases attack power by 200%

-> Increases defense by 200%

That was the first rune that he saw and was completely baffled just by seeing that.

A 200% increasing in power was not a small thing.

It didn't essentially mean that his power would be doubled, it actually meant that another 200% would be added.

That would literally mean that when he would have the rune, his powers would be in a total of 300%!

On top of that an extra of 50% increase in all physical stats meant that he would be quite powerful.

Another fire ball came and hit him exactly but since he was in stealth, he didn't even bother to dodge it.

Furthermore his eyes were sparkling like that of an idiot!

He could see that there were 4 more runes and thus he wanted to know about them too.

"Oh! What's this!?"

His eyes shined even brightly when he took a look at the message about the next rune that popped up.

-> Decreases the speed of the foe by 50%

-> Fatigue accumulation is neglected.

The fact that he would be much more faster than now made him quite astonished.

Moreover the decrease in the speed of his foe and the exclusion of consideration of fatigue accumulation was what that attracted his attention.

"This is... totally crazy...", while he said that, another fire ball came and hit him.

Regardless, he took a look at the other runes at the same time.
