The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 158

"Then what do you expect me to do?"
"How do we stop her from attacking?", he asked.
That was true, if they didn't attack then they might run out of mana and end up getting killed which would be nothing more than their own carelessness.
"Well, she isn't attacking right now, is she?", he ended up asking that.
Res paused for a minute and then turned his gazes towards the statue which was still standing as if nothing had happened.
He did notice that it had stopped attacking according to what Jay had said and because of that he thought that Jay wasn't just making things up.
"Yes... it is no more attacking but..."
He seemed dissatisfied even now because the statue could end up attacking at any moment so it was better to remain cautious.
"Don't worry Sir Res, let me handle this."
"..."
To Res this seemed somewhat familiar since Jay had tried to do the same a while ago.
He said, "Are you sure?"
Jay could see Res' hesitation which was clearly on his face so he ended up saying, "Yes, just trust me the one last time..."
"..."
Res didn't say anything else and ended up letting Jay move forward and watched from behind as to what he was doing.
Jay walked a few steps and even before realizing he was already near the statue.
He could specifically touch the statue since the statue had it's barrier activated, but it seemed like he was close enough to let it see him clearly.
Though, Res was getting panicked because it wasn't good to go close to the statue in such a way since that could end up harming him if something didn't go according to his plan.
'In my memory... it's quite clear...', he thought in his mind.

'Veronica...'
"How have you been... Veronica?"
That was all that Jay said right after which the aura or the weird energy, that had been covering the entire dungeon, changed!
'Huh? Veronica...?', Res wondered.
'And what's with the atmosphere?', he was shocked by the sudden change because it had become quite light for him too.
The statue slowly raised it's staff as if it was going to attack Jay on seeing which Res was about to form a portal right near Jay so that he could escape.
But Jay flashed his right hand and waved it a bit as if he knew what was happening and didn't want Res to make any unnecessary move.
Jay looked at the statue once again after raising his head and said, "Veronica... it's me..."
Suddenly a fire ball was fired at him but nothing happened to him since he used Accel and dodged it.
[ You have used... ]
He didn't bother to check the system message since he was already preoccupied.
The statue fired another fireball but Jay dodged it as if he was nothing.
But thanks to the attack the statue had put it's barrier down due to which Jay was slowly nearing it.
'In my memories which I gained just now...'
'She would recognize the overlord almost instantly...'
'Then why...?'
It seemed as if whatever he was doing was according to this memory of his which he received right now all of a sudden which felt familiar and at the same time foreign too.
"I guess this will help you remember me..."
"I guess I have no option other than summoning it..."
'Ding'

The moment Jay summoned the hammer, many notifications popped up with the increased buffs or stat effects which were indeed amazing.
Though he didn't have the time to go through all of them, he could see the numbers that were telling about the boosting effect.
Moreover it seemed as if the hammer was being lifted quite easily as contrast to a large amount of force which was required to lift it since earlier.
Also, a weird black mist covered him yet again which was probably due to the passive skill 'Ruler Of Darkness'.
Jay took a quick peek at some of the important things since he had no idea if he could get any other chance to see them.
[ The Hammer Of Darkness ]
[ Rank: ??? ]
[ Class: ??? ]

- A hammer that can be lifted by those who are worthy and have affinity with the dark attribute.
- Complete power of the hammer can only be used by 'The Dark Overlord'.
- A hammer that can shatter heaven and hell.
- A hammer which is comparable to the power of 'Hammer Of Chaos'
- Can be used to craft artifacts with Dark attribute.
--
He was in awe after taking a look at the information that was provided by the system.
It was more than enough for him but the fact that there was still something missing gave him chills.
'That's amazing... then what is...'
He then took a look at the two passive skills that were provided as a bonus to him.
[ Intimidation ]
- Passive
- Awakens fear in the foe.
- Boosts attack of user if foe is feared and is below by 2 levels.
- Boosts speed if the foe is higher by 2 or more levels.
[ Ruler Of Darkness ]
- Passive
- Creates a zone with a range of 5 m around which the foe would have 90% loss in all stats.
- All dark creatures summoned within this range will have +5 stat points in all their stats.
When Jay read through all of the, it wasn't that bad.
Moreover, he was finally able to understand as to how he was able to kill Jeff and defeat Fren.
It was thanks to the passive skill of ruler of darkness due to which their stats had decreased by 90% which is indeed a large amount.

The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1.
