The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 161

"Hahaha, look at this girl gloating at us."
Sera was completely surrounded by many Sorcerer who seemed quite different from each other.
They were having different properties but one thing was sure that none of them was kind or good.
"Dan, aren't you bored already? Why don't you kill her?"
A man with green hair and big brown eyes while wearing specs said this to a person who was having blonde hair and was quite tall.
"Haha Nory, where is the fun when the subject dies?"
"The actual fun comes when we torture the subject...",
He had a sinister like smile on his face as if he was planning something quite vicious.
It seemed a bit odd but he indeed had a twisted personality and probably that was why he was laughing like crazy.
Although Sera was maintaining her calm from outside and showed no signs of fear, from within she was praying continuously to be saved.
'Brother...'
That was the only thing she could think of.
Since she heard the sorcerers talk about Jay again and again, she couldn't help but think about him even more.
But that wasn't to save herself, what she actually wanted was for him to stay away.
'Brother, don't come here...'
She was unaware of the fact that Jay was strong enough to protect hitself and others.
She didn't know much about the strength of hunters because of which she thought that Jay was nothing more than a failure.
'If you come here...'
'You will get killed...'
She grit her teeth when she thought about that.
Right now, instead of asking herself to be rescued by Jay, she was thinking about his safety and that was probably because of the bond which she had with him.
Moreover she never expected to go back alive since the moment she saw many monsters getting slaughtered right in front of her eyes by all the sorcerers that were standing there.
"Haha, look at her acting strong...", said another guy who seemed quite arrogant too.
"What do you say master? Should we kill her?", asked another person who had navy blue hair with a similar eye color.
"Calm Down Sorcerer Of water and Moon..."
"She is still of use to us..."
"We cant just kill her yet.", a man who was sitting in a monster which was as huge as a truck said this.
He had red hair and his eyes were shining with a similar red light.

The aura that he had been emitting was too strong too that was continually giving Sera some unknown shivers.
She clenched her fist and just sat on the ground while her hands were tied with some yellowish golden chains which wa spribabky forned by magic too because they didn't want her to escape if anything unknown was to happen.
"Well well... looks like the invited guest has finally arrived...", the same man who was sitting in the monster said that.
He stood at up and kicked the abdomen of the Minotaur like monster which ended up disappearing in a mere second as if it was sucked by the darkness.
But it was quite different. The monster seemed like getting melted or was rather sucked into the molten lava which was visible only for a brief second when a weird small gate opened.
The person then slowly descended to the ground and then glared at all of them.
"So what do you think..."
All of them were just looking here and there to see from where Jay was going to come when al of a sudden he said, "Well... there is an uninvited guest too..."
"I'll take care of him..."
Right after he said that, he gave a sinister smile which made Sera shiver even more.
So he walked slowly towards Sera and then almost immediately grabbed her chin.
He then elongated his tongue and licked her chin by saying, "You seem tasty..."
Just after he said that, a Portal appeared in the sky right above them with a large amount of energy.
Right after that a person jumped from the Portal while shouting, "Withdraw your hands from her!!!"
'BAM'
The entire area was covered with dust because of the sudden collision that happened.
Even Sera closed her eyes due to that.
The voice which she heard was a bit familiar due to which shenopened her eyes right after that only to find Jay standing right in front of him.
"B-Brother...", she said with a low voice with the shocked expression that was on her face.
"Don't worry Sera, I'm here..."
Jay looked right back at her and said this.
He slowly placed his hand on top of her head and patted a bit while saying, "Now everything is going to be fine..."
Sera's eyes were wide opened and the moment she felt his patting, she ended up crying.
Tears ended up flowing down her chin but her expression didn't change.

"Sera..."
It seemed as if Jay wanted to reassure her even more when all of a sudden he heard another voice which made him flinch.
"Hahaha, that was interesting..."
Jay almost immediately turned his gazes to his right only to find the person whom he sent flying right now while using the hammer, walk as if nothing had happened.
"You..."
The man just wiped a drop of blood that probably came from his mouth due to getting smashed at some sharp object.
But there doen seem to be any significant injuries that was noteworthy.
'How can that be...?'
Jay was now completely shocked by seeing that because even after using the great Hammer of darkness, the person was completely fine.
That was probably the strongest weapon that he had and since it couldn't even give him any significant inguries, his tension increased.
"Well, before we fight, Answer my one question..."
"Huh?"
Jay didn't have any saw in this and ended up just standing quietly while waiting for him to ask.
"Tell me... are you really the Dark Overlord?"
The person asked with his head tilted to the left side a bit.
"..."
Jay didn't answer and just kept quiet for a while yet again.
Although the fact was true that Jay didn't acknowledge himself as the Dark Overlord, he was indeed called something like that by many people.
Because if that he ended up nodding his head.
"Yes... I am the Dark Overlord..."
Right after he said that, the other sorcerers moved a step back which was probably by reflex or by instinct.
Silent prevailed for a while right after which a laughter was heard.
"Keke..."
"..."
"Kekeke keke!"
The man was laughing as if there was no tomorrow.
It was loud enough and creepy enough to make Sera shiver yet again because even now she believed that she couldn't be saved even after Jay had arrived.
"Then that means..."
"I can use all of my powers against you?", the man titled his head and with his tongue out said that.
"..."
Jay was completely speechless when he heard that.
He didn't know what to do right now because his answer did seem wrong.
If he were to face someone who could withstand the blow of the hammer then without a doubt he would end up getting hurt gravely.
But that did t mean he could possibly backout right now because he wanted to protect his sister no matter what happened.
"I will..."
He was about to say that he would fight him when all of a sudden another person jumped from the Portal.
'BAM'
He landed on the ground which made a noise that was even louder when compared to the sound which was made when hammer struck him.
Jay turned his gazes towards his left yet again only to find Res standing on the same place where Jay had landed earlier.
The only difference was that the crater and the cracks that were formed due to him landing in the ground was much more times bigger when comprared to Jay.
"What would you get by playing with a punk like him...?"
"Play with me if you want to..."
Res' words were addressed to the person who was laughing like crazy earlier.
Jay could feel the air getting intense and right now he could also feel a slight wave of killing intent that was equally filled in the air.
"Keke, I meet you again..."
"Looks like you want to get killed just like The Ruler Of-"
Just as he was going to say that, a jolt of fire cane towards him which took him by surprise and forced him to dodge it.
He whistled and then said, "Will you look at that temper? It seems like some baby is angry at me..."
A fire ball was fired towards him which he dodged with ease but right after that Res appeared right in front of him and threw a punch at him.
'BAM'
"..."
'BOOM'
The punch was so explosive that it ended up sending a massive shock wave throughout the area.
Jay protected Sera by using the skill stealth but that didn't mean that Sera was completely safe.
It seemed like the skill stealth didn't work on the chains with which she was tied probably because of which the other sorcerers started aiming at that.
Jay was indeed shocked at first to see that but that didn't mean that he would only think about the chains.
He had to now protect her since the sorcerers aimed their Attacks towards her but since she was in stealth, she wouldn't get hurt, just that her entire hand was visible which could have gotten cut.
'Damn... I need to...'
'BOOM'
"..."
To be continued...

The Last Orellen (An Epic Progression Fantasy)
According to prophecy, the ninth-born child of Lord Orellen will have the sort of power that changes the world. But in a land ruled by mage families, no one welcomes the possibility of a dangerous new player. Fearful even of their allies, the Orellens come up with an extraordinary and deadly scheme to protect themselves. If the most powerful sorcerers in the world wish to kill the ninth-born, they will have to find him or her first. And that's not going to be easy when the Orellens have called upon dark magic to create hundreds of heirs. The boys and girls are given new bodies, new names, and even new magical talents before they are scattered across the continent. Only one among them is the real ninth, but all of them will have to grow up in a world where they are fugitives. Kalen, once fated to die, is now an Orellen heir in hiding. And he is determined to survive, even if he has to master his strange new powers to do it. The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused progression fantasy set in a vast universe about a boy's journey to become a powerful mage. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Slave 53: The Phoenix
Azgarth is a violent Warlord from a planet where everyone feared him, a man that never lost a battle whether it be from his enemies surrendering or dying. After entering a wormhole, this once infamous man had his memory completely wiped. He was enslaved under the name 53. The great comet arrived one day and gave 53 an extremely rare animal aspect, the Phoenix. Having a rare animal aspect puts people on the fast track to power in this world. Will 53 show the same brutality as his former self? Author: So there will probably be a lot of changes when I start hashing out the whole classes and what not. I'm not planning on this to have statuses or anything like that, but when people 'lvl up' is probably going to be something like ascending 1, 2, 3, etc. With each ascension they are many times stronger, for example, someone who hasn't ascend at all would be at 0, but someone with a 1 would be about 5x stronger than someone who is 0 and so on. It would take a long time to reach each one. With the red colored marks which represents fire, I have a couple ideas with what I want to do, in a way a battle royale, as this continent they are on isn't very large, but all four elements are on it (or more, I might add light, dark, and some others) but all the humans have red, while a different alien race has blue (water), brown (earth), and grey (Air). The color of the mark they have influences how they feel about each other, a example of that would be if a red saw a brown, then they would naturally feel a disgust about each other, and if they killed someone from a different color they would gain way more life essence which is needed to ascend than they would killing someone from their same color. The last thing, I'm not too sure about the main character yet, as I like the whole idea of a memory wipe, I almost think it'd be more entertaining to have the guy slowly regain all his memory, then just becoming his normal self again. If that's the case I'll have to change the title of book. The original idea was this guy would keep the name 53, and his prior self named Azgarth is sharing his body, as in he can talk to him and give him advice on things since he doesn't want him to die since he is sorta like a split personality sharing the same body. Looking at it now, idk if I want this guy to be named 53 forever. Warning: A lot of dark content in the book, especially in the flashbacks.

Given unexpected freedom, Senna decides to live her life to the fullest and enjoy everything this new world of swords and magic has to offer her. Unfortunately, the scars of her past run very deep causing numerous problems for both Senna and the people around her. Note: A random, story I wanted to write on a whim using a more cliche transported setting. The story starts a bit dark, but becomes lighter in the main story.
