The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 169

Res seemed quite serious and now that he had used one of his strongest spells it seemed as if he literally wanted to kill the Sorcerer who was levitating right now.
All of them Felt the immense aura from Res due to which most of them had turned their gases towards him.
Furthermore it seemed as if the sorcerers also got distracted.
Without a doubt the attack which Res did right now was quite crucial
'Boom'
A large explosion occurred which ultimately covered Res and the Sorcerer. Now nothing was visible for a moment because of the cloud of dust that covered both of them at the same time.
Without a doubt, the attack which Res used landed directly on the Sorcerer, and of course the damage dealt would be quite a lot.
Res slowly descended to the ground since he couldn't fly forever in the sky as he didn't have any such skill.
Although he could use the portals to do something similar, it would have been quite taxing.
Furthermore, it seemed as if he wasn't happy right now despite the fact that the attack hit the Sorcerer.
He just landed on the ground and stared at the sky right away which was the same for other monsters and the sorcerers because they couldn't see the other Sorcerer who was still flying in the sky right now.
They initially shouted, "Master!!!"
Perhaps it was the said Sorcerer who was their master and thus they wanted to see him safe, but little did they know that their worries were quite the waste.
Of course, he was completely fine and that was probably because of the barrier which he formed at the right time just before Rws slammed the spheres of fires on his body.
He and others kept on staring at the Sorcerer from the ground when the mist covering him disappeared.
'Damn... did he get stronger than last time...?', Res asked himself in his mind.
It seemed as if Res knew him and probably had some connection and something in common with him due to which he had been aiming for him.
He just stood there for a moment and then decided to attack once again when suddenly the pressure on him increased.
'Huh...?'
The moment that happened he realized that it was something that the Sorcerer who was flying did but that was nowhere near enough to make Res completely bow.

Instead, all it did was just make him bend a little.
Regardless, right now Res had made up his mind to take care of the mess which the sorcerers were making when he realized that the pressure was not only affecting him but was also making others slow and less efficient to move.
"Argh!!!"
He shouted and jumped right into the air yet again in order to hit the Sorcerer, however, he ended up failing when the pressure on him increased by ten folds.
'Bam'
He just got slammed to the ground right after that as if he was some plaything for the Sorcerer since he did it with ease.
Furthermore, this time the pressure was strong enough to render Res completely immobile and if that was the case with him, all the other situations would be unimaginable.
Res somehow moved his head a bit and turned his glances to check if others were alright when he ended up being shocked after finding that many of them had been crushed while some has fainted.
'No... this...'
Res was indeed surprised after seeing this because a vast number of the members of the army were none other than some low-tier monsters who got crushed quite easily.
Even the Goblin Supremes and other high Ogre lords were barely even standing on their legs.
That was somewhat the same for other vampires too. But Sebas seemed to be in a bit better condition because he was definitely stronger than most other beings present there.
By seeing all this, Res concludes that most of the pressure was directed at him due to which he has almost ended up digging the Earth's surface.
'Tsk, this is too bothersome...', he was slowly trying to fight against the immense pressure but all his attempts were just failing.
Even the ground was cracking under the pressure so it was obvious that just some little amount of attempts wouldn't be enough.
However, at the same time when he looked at the remaining sorcerers, he found that they were completely fine.
It was as if the pressure was being applied to only a selected number of people and monsters.
And for doing that, a high grade and control of skill would be required because the sorcerers were very few while the Foes were quite a lot so obviously it would be too hard to point out and add pressure to only the other side.

The Sorcerer didn't even bait his eye while using such a spell which was probably quite easy for him.
It didn't matter to him that he was against so many monsters and beasts because everyone in front of him was like that of an insect.
Furthermore, it seemed as if the sorcerer had something in his mind. He was constantly glancing at the place where Jay was resting.
Regardless he didn't move from his place. Without even lifting a finger he was able to exert a large amount of pressure on the others which was not only making them slow but also reduced the efficiency of usage of Mana.
"Argh, this is pissing me off!", Res shouted even while he was stuck in the Crater and was immobile for now.
He didn't want to admit defeat at all and without a doubt, he wanted to take care of the sorcerer.
'Flame Jet!', Res Shouted at the top of his voice. Right after saying that he started to levitate a bit since the fallen jet helped him to fight against the unimaginable pressure which the Sorcerer was exerting.
The moment this happened the Sorcerer glanced at Res as if he wanted to kill him right away.
Chill ran down Res' spine despite the fact that he wasn't scared or frightened. However, this was nowhere near to stop him.
He would never accept defeat even if he died and thus he too flared back at the Sorcerer.
"Who do you think you are to look at me that way?"
Both of them were staring at each other and err trying to dominate each other only with their gazes.
But Res didn't have much patience since even now a lot of his mana was being consumed since he was using a spell to levitate in the air.
This was by no means good and if he weren't to act right now, all of his mana could have gotten exhausted.
"Hya! Fire Emerald!", Res used yet another strong spell because he wanted to end the battle immediately since he was already tired.
A massive amount of energy started to gather around Res. In a matter of time, he was bathing in the said energy which was covering his body as if it had been a part of it since earlier.
His hair was fluttering in the air and it seemed like he was completely freed from immense pressure which was being exerted all this time.
His eyes too started to shine with reddish yellow light.
Right after that happened, Red vanishes from the area and appeared right in front of the Sorcerer.
"Die!!!"
All the energy seemed as if they got accumulated right in his fist and which he used to punch the Sorcerer.
'BOOM'
"..."
'ZOOOOM'
This time the single punch which he used had almost entire power of his which caused a large number of shock waves which were quite strong.
It shook the entire land on which all of them were standing. Not only that, the shock waves were strong enough to literally paralyze most of the goblins.
All the other sorcerers and their summons who were battling were also shocked and paused momentarily.
They turned their gazes towards the sky from where they felt the shockwave only to find that Res was emitting quite a ferocious amount of mana and aura.
"What the heck...? So he wasn't using all of his powers while fighting against me...?", the Sorcerer of fire with whom Res was fighting earlier said this when he felt the difference in the strength that Res showed.
"Damn... is he looking down on me?", he got even more annoyed after thinking that, and momentarily he got distracted thanks to which Sebas Successfully gave a good punch on his face.
Although Sebas was tired from the fight and his mana was almost drained, he still had some strength to spare.
He mustered enough power from all of his body and launched that attack outcome of which wasn't expected to be much.
Regardless, he never thought about his attack failing because he was by no means weak. His powers were strong and that was the source of his confidence.
At the same time, the belief that Jay is the strongest pushed him forward even more.
'Bam'
It pushed him back by 50 meters since Sebas had put a lot of power behind the punch.
All the sorcerers were shocked to see that because they believed that the one and only Sorcerer who was left behind was at least 10 times stronger than them and probably because of that they called him Master.
And it was this very person who had killed the previous Lord Of Darkness - Jay's Father!

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
