The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 183

[ Mission XGCD01: Blood Moon ]
[ -> Gain the knowledge about the blood essence from Vampires ]
[ -> Create Blood Essence [ 0/1 ] ]
[ Appropriate rewards will be given on the completion of the mission ]
[ Failure would lead to a decrease in all stats by 30 ]
'I have to ask Sebas about this...'
He must be knowing about it...'
Jay rushed towards the dungeon, of course, he could teleport there, but for that, he had to be close enough.
Not that the dungeon's system prevented him from teleporting, he just wanted some time to think it thoroughly before he could ask Sebas.
'If he could just create a mission, doesn't that mean that he has control over the system?', he asked himself.
He wasn't wrong, the system responded to Jake as if it belonged to him or as if he was the one who created it.
But oh well, if that was the case then his stats would be hidden or at least he would be identified as an administrator or something.
In any case, thinking about it made Jay get confused more and more.
'Also, couldn't he give me the key directly instead of giving me a mission?', he wondered about this too.
But no matter how much he thought, he couldn't possibly get answers to his question, not until Jake revealed it himself or he got his hands on the creators.
'Ding'
[ You have used the skill teleport ]
[ Destination as been selected ]
[ You will be teleported to... ]
All those notifications related to the skill appeared, needless to say, Jay was the least bit worried about that.
'Zwoop'
He vanished from the place and within a blink of an eye arrived at the dungeon where all the vampires were working, probably doing what he had asked them to do.
There were many corpses present there, of course, they belonged to various monsters and they were choosing the best ones among them to showcase Jay since he had asked them to hunt a few strong monsters.
Well, he did say that he required monsters' bodies, but he never expected to see so many bodies. Yes, more than a hundred bodies were lying where he teleported to.

Of course, it seemed like they wanted to present the best to their master and Jay could see their dedications.
"Wow..."
Jay was shocked on seeing all of these. Of course, the vampires bowed almost immediately when Jay appeared in front of them, after all, a flash of white light was seen when he teleported.
Sebas and Katherine were informed that Jay had arrived. Well, even if they hadn't said it, Sebas and Katherine would have come to greet him since they had noticed his aura and presence the moment he came.
"Master!", Sebas rushed and bowed the moment Jay came in his sight.
"Ah! Sebas, you may raise your head..."
The same he said to others too including Katherine and all of them did as they were asked.
They then got back to work and looked at all the bodies that were piled at the place. Needless to say, they had no intentions of choosing bad bodies perhaps because they knew why Jay had asked them to do this job.
Vampires are a species that can sense the purity and strength of a monster just by touching their blood. Indeed, that was like a special ability for the race.
Jay knew that perhaps, or maybe he was ignorant about that, in any case, he did a good job in letting them handle this case.
"Master!"
Jay was about to speak to Sebas and ask him about the Blood essence when suddenly he heard someone call out to him.
"Yes...?", Jay just replied and turned back to see who it was since the source of the voice was behind him.
"Wolfy? Is that you?", Jay asked in surprise after looking at a huge beast walking towards him.
It was definitely the wolf pup whom he had saved back then and had taken it in. It was just a small creature back then and was in a similar manner until recently.
But now after seeing it after some time, Jay was surprised because it was as huge as a four-seater car.
"Yes master!", it said in a loud voice and rushed towards him because it had indeed been some time since it had seen Jay.

Of course, the last time was probably when Jay had gone to save his sister and was in the war.
He caressed its black fur on his head and said in a proud voice, ", You look quite healthy."
"But how did you grow so big?", Jay asked.
Of course, Jay had seen that his parents were not that big so it was a surprise to see him growing way bigger than his parents.
"Master, I don't know but when he forced me to eat that crystal, I did and after that, I suddenly grew huge!", he said with proudness.
Well, other than his size, the only thing that was different was the thorns or horns that were growing on the top part of the legs near the abdomen.
The fur was thick and the tail grew to be huge too. Of course, the wolf had fangs now, big enough to protrude outside.
"Who?", Jay asked.
"Ah, the master dragon did it...", he said in a low voice.
'Akaluman did?', Jay asked hiself.
He turned his head here and there as if he was trying to search for him, but it seemed like he was nowhere to be found.
'That's weird...'
'Is he not around?'
'I can't feel his presence in the entire dungeon...'
Wolfy understood what Jay was trying to do after seeing him turn his head here and there.
"Are you perhaps searching for him?", Wolfy asked.
"Ah, yes..."
"But I don't feel his presence...", Jay said in a low voice.
"Yes, he has gone to take a walk down the forest...", Wolfy replied by saying this.
"Oh, so that's why...", Jay realized.
He then looked at the bodies after that as if he was eagerly waiting for them to separate them.
"Hmm, so, where are the generals?", Jay asked.
He was referring to the nine generals who had refused to fight for him without his command earlier.
It was as if they had lost their will or were simply non-willing to obey anyone else.
"Master, they are resting in the same place where you had seen them last...", Sebas indicated their unwilling nature by saying that.
"They just don't listen to anyone else...", he was direct enough.
"Is that so?", well, he wanted to go and tell them to obey others too for necessary reasons, but right now he could care less about them.
What was important was the voice that he heard earlier.
"Sebas, I have a question to ask..."
"Yes, master?"
Sebas wanted to know what Jay was going to ask about.
Well, Jay stared at him and then took a deep breath.
He wanted to complete the mission after all so he couldn't just waste any more amount of time.
He wanted to find about the system which had been helping him all this time. Of course, he wanted to know about it from Jake but that didn't mean that he couldn't find any sooner on his own.
Whatever the case may be, he had decided to complete the mission and gain the key.
'What was that voice?'
He continuously wondered about that. Of course, he had no idea about the blood essence, and precisely that was why he had come to the dungeon to enquire about it.
It wasn't that hard since he had reliable servants to tell him about it. But the mission mentioned that he had to prepare the blood essence as well.
In any case, he asked him right away.
"Do you know anything about blood essence?"
That was a weird question at least he felt that way.
Sebas was shocked when he heard Jay ask that. Of course, he knew about it after all he was a vampire.
There was no vampire who wasn't knowledgeable about the blood essence.
"Yes, master, I do know about it."
He was delighted to hear that. Now he could complete a task of the mission quite easily.
Well, that wasn't the real mission after all. It was something that Jake created si that Jay could achieve the key so that he could enter the so-called realm where he could help those who had called out for him.
To be continued...

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews.
