He wouldn't be required to defeat the monster. Of course, his speed stats were high enough to run away with ease, however, it seemed like he had different plans.

He wanted to defeat the monster probably because of the similar bizarre stats that it showed!

When Jay checked the profile, he found that the beast in front of him was at its peak, of course, it was one level away from being perfect and some stats hadn't maxed out yet, it could be said it was probably the strongest beast that he had ever seen.

Its legs were pointy and were red too with some black stripes.

The dent that had formed got restored almost immediately when the sand started to move. Despite the spider's speed, it didn't even move as if it was trying to test Jay.

Moreover, its defenses were pretty high from the start so it was kind of obvious that attacks won't work easily on it, however, the reason for its defenses became clear after Jay swung the hammer and hit it!

"It was as if I hit the sand with a rock..."

The sand doesn't get hurt nor does it feel in a pain, of course, it can reform itself.

If the hard rock were to be smashed into tiny pieces, so tiny that it won't be visible to the naked eye anymore, not from far at least, then it would be no different than the sand.

'Tsk...'

'It really suffered nearly no damage...', was what Jay said to himself when he took a look at the HP bar.

Decrease in only one HP was nothing more than taking no damage because that could be restored almost instantly!

The spider was gathering all the sand and was getting bigger slowly.

One thing was for certain, Jay couldn't defeat it by using the weapons because they seemed to have no effect on it.

'I guess it's time for me to use my skills...', was what he said.

Indeed, using magical attacks or skills would have a greater effect!

The moment he used that skill, clouds started to form in the skies.

Although the skill took a few minutes to take effect, it was quite strong and effective!

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he was the only one who could use the power of thunder and lightning in the Mortal realm.

Jake somehow knew that and was delighted to see the Dark Lightning striking the spider.

The battle was nowhere over yet, the spider was still fine even after experiencing the shock.

Indeed, it was suffering quite a large amount of damage, but that was not enough to kill it.

Jay noticed that due to which he continued to make the thunder fall.

Of course, while this happened, he noticed something which was unexpected.

He was shocked to see that his large MP was getting drained as if it was nothing.

This meant that they would consume much more MP than before according to the theory - 'Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed!'

If MP wasn't being used, then such a large force wouldn't be able to be formed!

Of course, that was why MP always increased when a skill leveled up or when the skill became stronger.

Also, the spider kept attacking while he was attacking it, it was obvious because it didn't want to die.

While saying this to himself in his mind, Jay equipped another item that he had in the inventory.
