The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 200

The explosion was so powerful that it blew away everything that it engulfed in.
The flames were so hot that nothing in its range survived. Everything, including the rocks and grounds, also got burnt down.
More than that, the shockwave that was sent from the explosion caused all the remaining world to experience either earthquakes or volcanoes or tsunamis of some other natural calamity.
"What was that?", the Overlord of Time was surprised.
When the smoke that rose from the explosion subsided, nothing was left in their vision.
They were initially sitting on stones carved by the nature but after the explosion, neither the stones nor the forests near them were left intact.
"Are you kidding me?", Julius looked towards the sky.
His body was completely drenched in blood. Well, he had to descend to Earth and due to the presence of the barrier that separated Heaven And Earth, he had to enter in a human-like body with flesh.
Of course, that had blood too and without a doubt, the blood from his body was spilling out like a fountain.
The Overlords were different though, they had their spiritual bodies intact, of course, that was true only for the four overlords that were with Julius at the moment.
All the remaining overlords whose powers had been taken away and thrown into different parts of the world were in their human forms. Needless to say, they were unconscious and their bodies were piled nearby, now there was no sign of those bodies too!
It was as if their bodies had evaporated and turned into specks of dust.
When the remaining overlords took a look at their own bodies, they found some changes.
"This is…"
Their spiritual bodies seemed to be dead. To be precise, their immortality was missing now.
When the Overlords were mentioned to be immortal, it meant that they were immortal in their spiritual form which they always maintained.
At the moment, that spiritual form and power seemed to be missing.
The same was with Julius.
"My body…", he was also shocked to see that his inner spiritual body had been destroyed.
The intention of the attack that happened a few minutes ago wasn't just causing physical damages, it included the destruction of the spiritual bodies.
"…"
Another large sphere-like object became visible in the sky. It could easily replace the sun with its light alone, of course not with size, but the light and heat were on par with that of the sun.

"No way…"
"Are they for real?"
"They are using 'that' to destroy us?", Julius said in a low voice.
It seemed as if the Overlords understood what he was trying to say.
All of them raised their heads towards the sky with fear and contempt.
After all, they had lost their powers for the moment and now they had no way to protect themselves.
All of them seemed nervous and were sweating profusely, that included Julius too.
Needless to say, there was just one Overlord who was just shocked by the events and was looking at the sky.
He wasn't nervous at all, in fact, he had his powers with him.
"…"
"Dark Devourer…"
While the remaining Overlords and Julius were about to shout in an unsightly manner, the Dark Overlord said two words in a low voice.
'Zwoop'
'Zoooom'
All of a sudden, a black water-like substance started to rise towards the sky and within a few seconds, it devoured the large sphere that was coming towards them.
All the overlords saw the Dark Overlord raising his left hand and glaring at the sky as if he had noticed the ones who were attacking them.
The remaining Gods who wanted to dethrone Julius and the ones who thought that this was the best chance to kill the Overlords were the ones that were doing this.
Yes, Julius' lover, the woman who gave him the weird drink at the starting was the one orchestrating the attack along with the second most powerful god in Heaven – Liron.
Liron was Julius' brother and was the second strongest of all Gods. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he could match Julius' powers too but that was only when he was aided by other boosts provided by other Gods.
At the moment, they all were using a weapon that Julius and the remaining Gods had made long ago when Heaven was split.
In any case, the sphere that was launched from that weapon was devoured by the Dark Overlord.
An attack that could snatch away immortality was easily stopped by him, in fact, it didn't have any effect on him when the attack landed earlier.
As surprising as it may sound, it was the truth. In the previous attack, he didn't suffer even the slightest of damage.

Not only were other overlords surprised, but they were also puzzled at the same time.
The Overlords knew each other well and they had some idea about each other's powers, but they didn't know their complete truth.
That was the same for the Dark Overlord too, not all of his powers were known by others. In fact, he was the most mysterious one among the Overlords because he hardly even told anything about himself.
Since no one was aware of his powers, he was considered the weakest of the overlords. He didn't even argue when he was ranked as the weakest.
Even during the war against God earlier, he showed only a tiny bit of his powers due to which other Overlords were convinced that he was the weakest.
But who would have expected him to be the complete opposite of what was concluded earlier?
He wasn't the weakest, in fact, he was the strongest among all the Overlords!
The remaining overlords had to accept the fact when they saw the powers which he used next to annihilate the Gods who tried to kill them!
'Teleport.', he used the power of the Void Overlord that enabled him to skip the space.
"No way…", Void overlord, who had white silvery hairs was completely shocked!
"Dark Devourer.", he used the same attack again to devour all the Gods that were coming towards him to destroy him.
Amidst them, there was a God who could control time, just like the Overlord Of Time, but not as good as him.
"Freeze!", while this did sound like an ice attack, it actually stopped time.
Of course, the attack would only work against one target and at most, only on ten targets.
That was the sole reason why he wasn't the strongest, if he could stop the time for everything, then the God of Time would basically be stronger than Julius and Liron!
The Overlord of Beginning was shocked to see that the Dark Overlord was able to spawn things from Darkness.
While the Overlords has specific powers of their own, the Overlord of Beginning had the power to create and use those things. Of course, his powers were limited too.
He couldn't possibly create anything and everything since each creation required a specific amount of mana and no matter how large his mana was, it wasn't infinite!
Seeing the Dark Overlord create things from darkness made him doubt his own powers.
The remaining Overlords who were defeated by Julius still had the consciousness and were watching.
Yes, their bodies were missing, in fact, the bodies were completely destroyed, but their consciousness got mixed with nature.
They could actually see what was happening and believe it or not, all of them were surprised by the Dark Overlord.
He was performing all their skills in a varied manner. It was as if their skills had originated from him and he was the actual source!
For example, rising the deads which was a skill that was exclusive to the Death Overlord, was being performed by the Dark Overlord, though, in a varied manner.
The Gods that were killed were having their souls extracted and that was being merged. After that, he was sending the souls inside one body which he would create from the darkness and create the ultimate undead soldier.
"How dare you harm my family!", was what he said in a dominant voice.
The family that he mentioned were actually the humans who were acting as his apostles and had inherited a few of his powers.
"Dark Moon!", he shouted again.
Actually, he was flying in the sky when he said this.
All of a sudden the moon that was slightly visible became dark.
Weird auras started to liberate from his body right after which he grew in size.
In a few seconds, he became a giant!
He was around 100 meters in height. His legs were so huge, thick, and heavy that the ground shattered.
As he walked forward, it left behind footprints which were as big as a soccer stadium!
"You all do not deserve to live.", he said this and concluded the war.
Of course, not just with his saying, but with his final attack – "Heaven Devourer!"
'Zwooop'
"…"

It isn't omnipotent and has definite origins which I'll explain later in the story. Another important aspect is world-building and crafting. I'll go into quite a lot of detail on both of them.

A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father.
