The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 209

It was obviously thinking of being cautious of the person who was unfazed by the sudden change in situations.
Davy was a prime example of that. His expressions were the same as earlier.
Either he had no emotions or he had trained himself to such a degree that he could control himself perfectly.
Having emotions is a good thing and showing them is a natural thing, but if one is able to master them, then they could reach the next level in understanding the emotions.
That was the truth of human nature, and it was true for the demons too.
They too showed emotions and signs of changing expressions on their faces.
However Davy was different, he probably trained his body a lot achieving that great level!
'Yes, he would definitely be the strongest one among them-', Jay concluded.
But Davy was actually considered to be the weakest among the demon generals, however, was that really the truth?
According to Jay's instincts, he was almost sure that Davy was the stronger one when compared to the remaining two.
He could even be stronger than Alon.
In any case, Jay probably had some plan on his mind otherwise he won't be foolish enough to come in front of the demons that were equally strong as Alon.
"You prick, do you think you are some big shot?"
"How dare you disrupt our peacetime?", Borthod asked,
Reina continued, "Yes, just who do you think you are?"
"…", Jay didn't say anything and just kept his mouth shut while thinking about Davy.
"Alon, you dog, how dare you to bring a human here?", was what Borthod asked.
"…"
Borthod glared at Alon with his fierce eyes which made Alon shiver.
Alon had lost a lot of courage and purely because of the rumors, he thought that he was definitely weaker than all of them and would fly away with just a single shot.
Alon, who was furious until now, was quiet.
It was a weird feeling that he was experiencing. Oh well, Jay felt as if he understood that pain.
Whatever Jay was in a pretty bad mood and now he was thinking of waging a war against them.

But, he wanted to know how they would react if they were to know his identity – the Dark Overlord.
It seemed as if he had come to accept that identity too, so he was curious, - would they back off after knowing who he was, or would they end up fighting him and try to defeat him.?
Would they even flinch?
Many thoughts ran down in Jay's mind but those things could only be known after he revealed them.
And yes, he wasted no time in doing that.
Usually, equipping the weapons beforehand would be the best choice rather than equipping it in front of the foe, however, Jay had different views.
He thought that the opponent could be overwhelmed by the way a weapon was to be equipped.
The fact that his aura would change again as soon as he would wield the weapons was fascinating.
If the same aura was to be maintained since the start, they would only be either intimidated at the start or only for a moment.
If his aura continuously increased as time passed, then that would awe everyone and put an ounce of fear in their hearts.
And that ounce would be more than enough to completely destroy them – this was Jay's belief.
And exactly according to that, he equipped the various runes directly in front of them, of course, he didn't shout or anything.
The only voice that was heard was of the system which echoed in his head.
[ You have used the Rune Of Buff And Healing ]

'Zoom'
As soon as he activated the runes, his entire aura changed. He looked much stronger in front of them with just equipping these things.
Well, more than that, the pressure on them doubled yet again, of course, the gravity effect of the glove was still active.
'This is weird…'
'Why is his aura increasing continuously?'
'Is he testing us?', Davy asked himself.
Although all of them were standing steady, the pressure was immense. They could feel it for sure and it was serious.
Alon could feel the increase of pressure too. He noticed that the ground was showing the signs of cracks – probably because of the effect of gravity alone.
'This much is enough I guess…', all this time, all he wanted was to intimidate them.
Then his plan was to question them in order to showcase his authority.
"So this is what you have been doing in my absence…", Jay said in a deep voice with fierce glaring eyes.
"Huh?", Alon was shocked to hear that all of a sudden.
Obviously, Jay hadn't explained this to him that was why he gave off the sudden reaction.
But he kind of understood and kept quiet for the rest of the moment.
'What is he talking about?', Davy was confused at the moment despite having a stern expression on his face.
Borthod, who didn't think usually, started to wonder when he said that. The same was with Reina.
It was as if all of them had been enchanted by Jay's words.
"I took a little rest from this world and visited the human world, and when I return…"
"I find you all-destroying things?", he asked.
Yes, his voice was dominant enough to bring shivers down their bodies.
"Kneel…"
"Kneel and repent for what you did, only then would I consider letting you all live…", Jay really sounded like a monarch at the moment.
"…"
"Who the f*ck do you think you are to ask us to do that?", Borthod questioned.
"I will pull your tongue out so that you won't be able to talk anymore!", right after saying this, Reina rushed towards him with all her might.
Yes, she was one of the fastest demons so her speed was top-level for sure.
Jay couldn't reach that top-level speed at the moment, well, not without any aid.
He had boosted his speed on top of which, he used a demon art.
'Demon Art – Demon Eyes…'
Demon Eyes Demon Art – An art that allows the user's eyes to become ten times faster than the physical body movements that are possible.
With the help of this, he could see all her movements, of course, for this the brain had to be fast enough to receive and send the info as soon as possible.
Jay was the perfect one, his IQ was quite high so it wasn't a problem at all.
Of course, an increase in the speed of the eyeballs by 10 times was too much but that was acceptable, for a few seconds.
Because all he needed were a few seconds.
'Demon Art – Demonic Speed'
Actually, Reina wasn't using any demon art. She had achieved the top speed just via hard work of her own.
If she were to use the Demonic speed demon art, then she could have become faster than sound!
Whatever at the moment she wasn't using any such thing and thankfully Jay could use that.
Of course, his body was in top condition, however, the usage of that art would put a lot of pressure on the joints and other muscles.
So all he could do was use the technique only for a few seconds – 5 seconds.
'Five seconds are more than enough…'
"…"

My Girlfriend, the Necromancer
The power of the Orb cleaves the skies and shatters the earth. It heralds the advent of a new era, one where humanity is no longer at the top of the food chain and we must rise to the challenge when faced with our own extinction as a species. I could hardly care less. All I ever wanted was to love my Allie, to grow old and wrinkly by her side as I held her hand before taking my last breath on this green earth. To have our love echo through the ages, an ode to the last great love story on the planet, one that would endure the end of humanity, the breaking of the world, and even defy the dread summons of Death itself. It’s said that when the gods unleash their fury upon mortal kind, they grant their wishes. Well, crap. This is a gritty end of the world survival story with modern fantasy/romance/game-like elements in it. The main focus will be character development while stats and menus are there as a fun vehicle to empower the imagination. This is a work in progress and I deeply appreciate any helpful suggestions, so please don't be shy with input! Currently posting at least one chapter per week.
