The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 211

'Hammer…'
'Didn't you see the hammer which he is holding?', Davy asked via sound transmission again.
When Borthod heard this, he took a little peek at the hammer which Jay was holding.
For a second it seemed like an ordinary hammer but when he looked carefully at the black aura that the hammer was emitting, he immediately understood why Davy decided to bow.
'That hammer is…'. Borthod had no words to say even in his mind.
'Yes, that hammer is the hammer of Darkness.', Davy said with a small nod.
Now Borthod understood how disrespectful he was because the only one who can wield the hammer of darkness was the Dark Overlord and no one else.
They immediately understood that the being in front of them was no one to be messed with.
Reina was in the same state – unconscious. Jay stood there glaring at them as if they had done something grave.
Of course, they couldn't look directly in his eyes, they were bowing their heads after all. But even when doing that, they could feel the glare from Jay.
A moment's mistake and they could end up dead – that was what their demic instincts said.
"I have a lot of things that I want to ask you…"
"So it's better if we go inside.", was what Jay said.
"Y-yes!", Davy said with a shaky voice while Borthod had no strength to say anything due to fear and nervousness.
Weird as it may sound, but Jay's legs were actually trembling. He barely had any strength left after all and that was precisely why he asked to go inside so that he could take a seat and recover his strength and from the fatigue.
Both Davy and Borthod were about to follow Jay when suddenly he paused and said, "Don't forget to get her with you."
"Y-yes, master.", Davy nodded his head.
Jay then soon entered the castle which was opened by the weaker demons out there who were guarding the place.
They were engulfed by fear because they watched everything from the start.
Of course, they said nothing, and even before Jay could tell them anything, they opened the gates widely to allow Jay to enter without any problems at all.

Well, this was to ensure that they would live.
Jay was neither bothered nor was impressed by this. He just walked in because he was way too busy trying to cover his weak and tired self.
There was a huge throne in the castle – a castle is supposed to have a throne after all.
The throne belonged to Alon basically because this region was ruled by him.
He could spend his time in the castle whenever he visited the place after all.
Jay didn't give any second thought before sitting on the large throne. It was as if he was the king at the moment.
Alon walked and stood in front of Jay, a bit far away from him though.
Davy and Borthod were bowing even now after getting inside. Of course, Reina was beside them – completely out!
The atmosphere was extremely weird. Neither Jay spoke nor did anyone else.
All were quiet as Jay continued to glare at them. Of course, Alon was the only one who had something else on his mind.
'This castle…'
'I finally have it back…'
"So will you care to tell me why you did all that?", Jay started the conversation by asking this.
"…"
Davy and Borthod had no answers. They knew that they had done something which would be considered evil.
Of course, it was their own understanding when they did this.
What could they possibly say to the Dark Overlord himself?
The one who was thought to have been missing was suddenly back when they were showing off the undying flames. Because of this, they experimented on their own people which ended up killing them.
In reality, Borthod and Reniea were the ones who did this, however that didn't mean that Davy was innocent.
His crime was that he didn't stop them from doing this and let them do as they pleased.
Indeed, his crime could be considered less than others, but that didn't mean that he was completely crimeless.
"We apologize for what we did…", Davy apologized as soon as he opened his mouth.
That was the only thing they could do at the moment.
"Yes, I am sorry…", Borthod's voice became deep too.

It was fear that was making them do this more than respect, the fear was being created in the hearts continuously.
"So tell me everything that you did specifically.", Jay demanded them to tell their own deeds.
That was a good way to make them repent at the moment and know about everything that has been kept hidden.
Yes, there was another reason – time pass.
This was probably the main reason, Jay just wanted to pass the time so that his fantigue would have vanished completely.
He could use the same thing as earlier only thrice a day after all and each time he did, the fatigue accumulated would just increase.
After using it for the first time, he wouldn't be able to do that for the next 3 hours. Then again after using it, he wouldn't be able to do the same for 9 hours. And after using it one more time, he would be resting the rest of the day.
Basically, he wouldn't be even able to lift his own arm.
"We burnt the cities, killed countless people of your own kingdom…"
"Killed many beasts of the demon world."
"We destroyed many homes…"
"We bullied the weak and laughed at every lord that ruled over the areas…"
They started admitting all their crimes and things that they thought were wrong according to them.
Jay didn't know that they would really do this and even if they did, he never imagined that they would say the same things that he expected.
What he thought that the concept of good things and bad things might have been different in the human world and demon world.
So most of the things that would be considered a crime in the human world might have been a good thing here. However, they did tell the things that were indeed considered to be bad in the human world.
Jay was just quiet all this time and continued to hear them out one by one.
"Hmm, now wake her up…", was what he said while glaring at Reniea.
Davy walked towards her and was forced to regain her consciousness by using some sort of demon art that Jay had never seen or read before.
"Wha-"
When she opened her eyes, the thing that was right in front of her eyes was – Jay.
"You!"
All of a sudden she got angry because she could clearly recall what had happened.
Without further wait, she tried to dash towards Jay so that she could land at least one blow.
Basically, she wanted to kill him and nothing else because she was ashamed of her loss.
She only thought that he was a human and nothing else because of which she was feeling shame.
Well, she did try to attack him, but that attack was easily stopped by Davy, Borthod, And Alon.
All three of them stepped to stop her.
Alon did it so that Jay doesn't get harmed after all he had seen that he was still in his human body so a wound could end up being fatal.
Borthod and Davy didn't have any idea about that. The only two reasons due to which they stopped her was because they didn't want Jay to be angered any further.
Also, they didn't want her or themselves to die brutally.
For them, the Dark Overlord was capable of giving pain even after death which differentiated him from the Death Overlord.
Although Death Overlord had a similar power, it was nowhere near equivalent to that of the Dark Overlord.
Jay had yet to accumulate that power, but oh well, others knew not about that.
"Stop Reniea!", Davy said after stopping her momentum.
Alon just returned back to the same place where he had been standing since earlier.
Borthod released her hand too which he held in order to stop her.
"Why are you stopping me!?"
"That bas-"
Just before she could pull out that term, Davy used sound transmission to indicate her about the situation.
"-tard", she ended up saying that since it had already slipped away.
"Did you just call me that?", Jay gave her a death glare after hearing that.
"…"
To be continued…

Reincarnated as a Warlock with zero skill
My previous life was just as boring as yours. I was a marketing manager for a flooring company. The biggest challenge? Would the latest colour be called "Grey Oak" or "Oak Grey". Then, tragedy. I was struck down in the prime of my life by a negligent delivery driver and a pallet of laminate flooring - which is significantly heavier than you think. So there I was, smeared on the floor, absorbed in my own self pity. Where would I go? Heaven? Hell. Did I care? Apparently that was not what fate had in store for me. Reborn in a world of dragons and fantasy, I became a Warlock. A pretty darn important one too. The problem, I had little to no affinity to magic and I spent most of my time doing my best to avoid danger. Danger however, would not avoid me. So, with my new life as an amazing Warlock you'd think it would be easy street right? Wrong. Forces gather to move against the Kingdom I am sworn to protect and, whilst my inward allegiance is to whomever is the victor, outwardly I must lead the resistance against the invaders. With my skilled companions Asha - a mage that can actually do magic and Torg - a swordsman sworn to protect me, I can only hope that they distract the enemy long enough for me to run away.
