Chapter 80: Why Is It You? (4)
Staring at the cruel and barbaric situation not far away, Xia Zhetao was totally stunned, and he was instantly in such disbelief that his jaw dropped.
If he did not see it wrongly, the woman on that side seemed to be the President’s ex-wife, right? Yes, it should be her!
Although it had not been his first time seeing the former Mrs. President fight with others, who could clearly tell him that this was not in his imagination?
She had fought with a criminal who held a knife on the street. Would normal women do such a thing? Where was her morality? Where were her principles?
Um, the President was very scary, but the former Mrs. President was scarier! Was it possible for him to resign now? The answer was obviously no.
After Zhao Youlin released all her anger, she gently sighed in relief, tidied her messy hair, and got up from the thief. The pitiful man’s face was swollen and bruised. He was punched so many times that nobody would be able to recognize him.
After Zhao Youlin gave vent to him, she finally felt better. She turned around and went back to the place where the file was dropped just now.
As she squatted down and picked her things up, a gust of wind blew on her face and messed up her long hair, which she had finally smoothed out.
Zhao Youlin frowned. She looked over in the direction of the wind and noticed a black sedan that suddenly drove over.
The longer she looked at it, the more she found the sedan familiar. She seemed to have seen it somewhere.
Before she carefully thought about the origins of the car, the man who got out from the backseat answered the question for her.

Darn it! Why was it him? Why would that man show up here?
“What happened?” When Mu Tingfeng got out of the car, he saw Zhao Youlin squatting not far away. He also saw the documents that were scattered around the floor, and the visible briefcase nearby. He turned around, looked at Xia Zhetao among the crowd, and inquired coldly.
Xia Zhetao shuddered in fear. At this time, he came back to his senses from being shocked by watching Zhao Youlin cruelly punch the thief. He hurriedly moved through the crowds, ran to the two of them, and said with fear, “Pre… President, someone stole your briefcase just now. Luckily…”
Xia Zhetao turned around and cast a glance at Zhao Youlin. He did not know how to address her.
Mu Tingfeng could briefly guess it from Xia Zhetao’s muttering. A glint of surprise crossed his eyes, but his gaze turned dark and cold after he saw the bleeding wound on the back of Zhao Youlin’s hand, a result of the knife scratch.
Zhao Youlin also understood after she heard Xia Zhetao. She raised her head, pointed at Mu Tingfeng, and asked in disbelief, “Does this briefcase belong to you?”
Mu Tingfeng did not answer. Instead, he frowned and stared at the bleeding wound on the back of Zhao Youlin’s hand. “Are you injured?” he asked in a discordant tone.
“It’s none of your business!” Mu Tingfeng did not respond to her question, but she clearly knew the answer.
At this time, Zhao Youlin was furious. Not to mention that she was scratched by the unsophisticated thief, also she was actually helping her former husband whom she did not like.
Zhao Youlin immediately felt irritated at this time. Was this her karma after she bit him at the pet shop back then? She really had an unfortunate fate with this man!

When Zhao Youlin thought about it, she rolled her eyes fiercely at Mu Tingfeng. Then she turned around and left.
However, before she took two steps away, Mu Tingfeng grabbed her hand. At that moment, his cold yet attractive voice was heard. “Go to the hospital.”
“I said, it’s none of your business. Are you deaf?”
Zhao Youlin’s loud voice made Xia Zhetao gasp. Mu Tingfeng’s expression did not change at all, and he naturally said, “You’ve helped me, so I can’t just ignore you.”

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
