Chapter 81: You’re the Cause of All My Misfortune (1)
In the end, Zhao Youlin lost all her patience. She was so angry that she let out a bark of laughter. She turned her head and glared at Mu Tingfeng. “If I had known that the thief had stolen your goods since the beginning and that I would still be so nosey in the future, I’d have done whatever you wanted!”
Right after Zhao Youlin spoke, she immediately pulled her hand free and left in a rage. She totally ignored all the shocked looks of the people around them.
As soon as Zhao Youlin left, the surrounding area, which was already noisy, only renewed with more buzzes because of the words Zhou Youlin had shouted at Mu Tingfeng before her departure.
The discussion among the passers-by around grew increasingly absurd. Xia Zhetao did not even dare to raise his head to look at his president’s face.
After struggling between a mixture of anxiety and fear for some time, Xia Zhetao finally mustered enough courage. He drew in a deep breath and raised his head to look at Mu Tingfeng, who was always so expressionless that his emotions could not be read. He asked tentatively, “President Mu, we should…”
Mu Tingfeng did not answer him. After a moment of silence, he looked away from the direction where Zhao Youlin had just left and looked aloofly at the thief in the black shirt, who was still lying helplessly on the floor. A single glance told him that the thief was obviously still gasping for breath.
When Mu Tingfeng recalled the trace of blood on the back of Zhao Youlin’s hand, he gave off a gloomy presence. He said, “Take him back. He’s at your disposal as long as he doesn’t die. Tomorrow, I want all the information related to the mastermind behind the scenes to be presented to me.”

The mastermind behind the scenes. Indeed, it was the mastermind’s fault. Zhao Youlin and those who were present on the spot had no idea that the thief was unlike any ordinary thief. He was actually a corporate espionage specialist sent over by a certain competitor of the Mu Feng Group into the company in order to steal the documents related to the top-secret partnership with a certain group.
In fact, ever since the man entered the company on his first day, Mu Tingfeng and Xia Zhetao had already had their eyes on him and were investigating the purpose of him joining the company.
The reason why they had not taken any action was because they wanted to trace him back to the company behind him. A company that had blatantly placed a spy within the Mu Feng Group.
This spy had hidden his tracks well and had superhuman patience. He had been waiting patiently and only started to take action when the partnership was about to be settled in a few days. Meanwhile, Mu Tingfeng and Xia Zhetao’s patience had been wearing thin, waiting for the prey to fall into their trap.
Today, early in the morning, Xia Zhetao had purposely asked Mu Tingfeng’s secretary to put the briefcase with important documents inside the car in order to lure out the spy whose identity had long been exposed. After that, Xia Zhetao deliberately said that he had left out something in the office and that he had to go back to get it. So, he had asked someone to help him keep an eye on the car.
Of course, the person finally could not resist his temptation and took action when the fruit of victory was laid bare and within his reach.
At that moment, Xia Zhetao, who saw everything from the shadows, hurriedly appeared to let the spy be aware of him and also acted as if the briefcase was truly very important to him. As such, this had further convinced the man that what he wanted was inside the briefcase. He then took the “stolen goods” and fled.

Secretary Xia had to complete the entire act by “pursuing” him for some distance. He shouted while chasing him, and that was when Zhao Youlin had stepped in.
In fact, there was already a group of professionals shadowing the person. They had simply played along to wait for the moment to arrest all of them at once when this guy brought along the goods to his boss.
Unfortunately, Xia Zhetao had never ever expected that Zhao Youlin would appear out of nowhere. In fact, her frail appearance belied her actual strength. She held the strong man down with ease.
She had messed up his perfect plan and even so, he could not express the slightest bit of dissatisfaction. There was nothing more saddening than this.
