Fierce Ex-wife: President, Please Be Careful Chapter 139

On the contrary, President Mu had no idea that his abnormal behaviors had been taken as embarrassing tales to share with his mother. After daydreaming for the whole day, he finally showed mercy to his secretary, whose spirit had been greatly tormented. He got off work on time. Little did he know that he would be welcomed home by...
"Mother?!" A flash of obvious surprise darted across Mu Tingfeng's eyes when he saw the blue-eyed beauty sitting on the couch.
In fact, Su Ruixin was a mixed-blood, except that only a quarter of her blood was of foreign descent.
Her father was a mixed-blood of Zelford and Enoia, while her mother was from Zelford. As such, her sister and herself were both quarter-blooded hybrids.
However, the only difference between the two was that Su Ruixin had inherited her father's exotic light blue eyes, while her older sister inherited her mother's brown eyes.
Therefore, Mu Tingfeng also had some of his mother's genes. But, his blue eyes were not as striking as Su Ruixin's. There was a subtle blueish tint in his dark eyes. One could not identify them if he did not see them clearly. As such, his eyes were deep compared to the rest.
When Su Ruixin and Su Qing heard Mu Tingfeng's voice, they immediately stopped their conversation, turned around and looked at him.
"Tingfeng, you're back! Come, let me take a good look at you." Su Ruixin immediately returned to her senses. She grinned and waved her hands to gesture to Mu Tingfeng to come over to her.
Mu Tingfeng frowned. He walked toward Su Ruixin and the first sentence that came out of his mouth was, "Mother, why did you come here?"
"Why can't I come over?" Su Ruixin gave a strange look at Mu Tingfeng. She pouted and looked aggrieved as she said, "You're our son yet you're never by your parents' side throughout the years. You don't even come back to visit your parents. So, I've no choice but to fly over to visit you. What's wrong? Are you not welcoming me?"

The action of pouting one's lips and speaking coquettishly was generally inappropriate for women of Su Ruixin's age. Yet, when she did so, no one felt disgusted. Instead, she looked cute and melted one's heart.
Unfortunately, it did not work on Mu Tingfeng. He said, "Mother, does Father know that you've returned to your home country?"
Right after Mu Tingfeng spoke, the smile on Su Ruixin's face became strained. Soon, she adjusted to it, but Mu Tingfeng saw everything.
Mu Tingfeng narrowed his eyes and exposed Su Ruixin's attempt to... without hesitation and told the truth, "That means Father has no idea that you've returned to your home country, right? Mother, did you run away from home?"
"I came back to visit my own son. How can that be counted as running away from home?!" When Su Ruixin heard her son's words, she reflexively refuted him. There was some urgency in her voice.
"Oh, so that's how it is. I'll give Father a call later," A glimpse of light caught in Mu Tingfeng's eyes as he replied expressionlessly.
Su Ruixin was stunned. Soon, she reacted to it. Mu Tingfeng was trying to get the information out of her!
"Tingfeng, how could you set me up? How could you do that?!"
Mu Tingfeng did not fall into Su Ruixin's trap. He replied to her expressionlessly, "You came out all by yourself. Father would be worried sick.
"I'm not by myself. I've brought along Black Hawk," Su Ruixin muttered.
"Then, Father would be troubled. He would be jealous."
Su Ruixin choked. She opened her mouth and was about to retort. But, when she saw Mu Tingfeng's face that was just as cold as her husband's, she instinctively felt guilty.
Su Ruixin hesitated for a while before she compromised and said, "Alright. I'll call your father later to tell him I'm safe, okay?"
Mu Tingfeng contemplated for a moment. Then, he nodded and said, "Okay. Let Mr. Butler accompany you later."

'So, is he asking someone to spy on me to make the call?' When Su Ruixin thought of this, the way she looked at Mu Tingfeng grew increasingly sulky.
When he was young, he was as cute as a bun. His cheeks were really pinchable, and he was so cute that even the gods were jealous. How could he become such a changed man when he grew up? He was just like his father. Both of them always put on straight faces and were men of few words.
'How could my cute son turn out to be like this?! He's not cute at all!'
Su Ruixin nearly forgot her original intention after being interrupted by Mu Tingfeng. Luckily, Su Qing pulled her sleeve just at the right time and cast a glance at her.
Only then did Su Ruixin snap out of a daze. When she recalled what she had discussed with Su Qing, a flash of light appeared in her eyes. She said to Su Qing, "Qing, it's already late. You're pregnant, it's better to rest early. Mr. Butler, please send Miss upstairs to rest."
Su Qing froze for a moment. She knew that Su Ruixin wanted to have a few words with Mu Tingfeng in private. She was a little upset. 'Sobs… I would also like to listen to some gossip. Young Aunt, that's so uncool!'
No matter how reluctant Su Qing was, Su Ruixin had spoken. Su Qing had to obey her. So, she rose up and said, "I'll go upstairs to rest, then. Young Aunt, Feng, take your time to talk."
After Su Qing spoke, she gave Su Ruixin a sultry glance. She went upstairs in reluctance with the help of the old butler who had appeared out of nowhere.
Right after Su Qing and the old butler left, Su Ruixin impatiently pulled Mu Tingfeng to sit down with her and whispered to him, "Tingfeng, is it true that you have... divorced the woman?"
"Mother, this happened a few months ago, and you're only asking now? Don't you think it's a bit too late?" Mu Tingfeng frowned. He instinctively rejected her, especially when his relatives brought up the matter.
Sun Ruixin was choked with Mu Tingfeng's unfriendly tone. She nearly burst out. 'What did he mean by it's too late to ask after so many months?! Such a heartless rascal! It's not that I purposely acted dumb and dredged stuff up from the past! Most of them were induced by you!'
On one hand, they were abroad. So, it was only natural that they were not very well-informed about their home country's news, much less Mu Tingfeng had intended to block the spread of the news.
If not for Su Qing secretly tipping them off, they might still have been kept in the dark. On the other hand, the elders had seen everything regarding Mu Tingfeng's hostile marriage life with the woman throughout the years.
Su Ruixin felt heartache when she saw her son suffer in such pain. If not for their child, she would have...
The moment Su Ruixin and other members of the Mu family received the news about Mu Tingfeng's divorce, they sighed. At the same time, they were also relieved. They ignored the case and left it to Mu Tingfeng to handle in his own way.
However, ever since they divorced, the woman was completely a changed woman. Most importantly, Su Ruixin's son seemed to find himself… having a different feeling for the woman after their divorce. If not for Su Qing transmitting the message to her, Su Ruixin would not take the initiative to bring up the matter.
"Alright, alright." When Su Ruixin noticed the hint of reluctance appearing in Mu Tingfeng's eyes, she compromised and said, "Let's not talk about this. We'll talk about your opinion on the woman, okay?"

Take Two!
College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.
