The Summoner is Going Chapter 171 part1
Translation: DarkHeartedAlchemist
Editor: Weasalopes
We are proceeding along the branch path.
Jean has confirmed our next prey beforehand.
Is this their last active spawn point?
Cause I will be kind of bummed out if it is.
Just as always, we can beat them no problem as long as we won’t mistake bravery for bravado.
Higher Gozu Lv3

All right!
I enhance everyone with spells as we prepare for battle.
I imbued the sword with Light Magic and used 【Identify】on it to see what changes have occurred.
【Sword】 Vajra Sword Quality B Rarity 5
AP +20 Destructive force 2+ Weight 1 Durability ?
Imbued with the power of Light Magic.
The weapon used by the Heavenly Generals. Draws out the user’s latent powers. The material used in the making process is unknown.
A powerful weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
Hmm? Isn’t it different from before?
And if so, what might be the reason behind it?
Shouldn’t AP be +19? And that Destructive Power value also looks somewhat off.
Ah!
Could it be that it’s like that because I used the sword after strengthening myself with other spells?
Let me just check my status real quick.
Status:
DEX 18 (+3)
AGI 18 (+3)
INT 24 (+4)
STR 18 (+3)
VIT 18 (+3)
SPI 24 (+4)
Okay, everything’s looking swell as usual. How about when I use Power Water?
Status:
DEX 18 (+3)
AGI 18 (+3)
INT 24 (+4)
STR 18 (+6)
VIT 18 (+3)
SPI 24 (+4)
And now cast 【Identify】on my weapon once more.
【Sword】 Vajra Sword Quality B Rarity 5
AP + 22 Destructive Power 2+ Weight 1 Durability value?
Imbued with the power of Light Magic.
The weapon used by the Heavenly Generals. Draws out the user’s latent powers. The material used in the making process is unknown.
A powerful weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
The stats went up!
So that would mean that the value of STR is directly reflected by the number of AP.
Or maybe it’s half the STR value plus the Lv of the corresponding magic skill?
In that case, let’s strengthen it even further.

Status:
DEX 18 (+7)
AGI 18 (+7)
INT 24 (+9)
STR 18 (+10)
VIT 18 (+7)
SPI 24 (+9)
The blade of the sword looks sick as heck now! So edgy!
All right, calm down, me, let’s not forget why we’re here in the first place.
If my prediction is correct, my STR should be around 28 now.
So AP should be… 24?
【Sword】 Vajra Sword Quality B Rarity 5
AP + 24 Destructive Power 2+ Weight 1 Durability value?
Imbued with the power of Light Magic.
The weapon used by the Heavenly Generals. Draws out the user’s latent powers. The material used in the making process is unknown.
A powerful weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
Yeah, that seems about right.
But the value of Destructive power still remains a mystery to me.
But wait.
There are still spells I can use to strengthen myself, like the Space-time spell, Gravity Mail.
It’s a good opportunity to test it out, so let’s go with it!
Status:
DEX 18 (+7)
AGI 18 (+11)
INT 24 (+9)
STR 18 (+15)
VIT 18 (+11)
SPI 24 (+9)
Wow, talk about some monstrous growth.
And now for the obligatory 【Identify】check.
Something is telling me that my AP is going to reach 26 now.
【Sword】 Vajra Sword Quality B Rarity 5
AP + 24 Destructive Power 3+ Weight 1 Durability value?
Imbued with the power of Light Magic.
The weapon used by the Heavenly Generals. Draws out the user’s latent powers. The material used in the making process is unknown.
A powerful weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
Hmm.
The Destructive Power seems to have gone up one level.
Ah!
Higher Gozu and Higher Mezu!
I’m sorry for leaving you guys all alone!
For a moment I forgot why I came here.
Not good.
I have to attend to the both of them at once! (read: kill them both)
Once all was said and done, we made a pretty short work out of them.
Maybe my strengthening spells were a little excessive after all.
I defeated Mezu without much difficulty, but against Gozu my light weapon was almost ineffective, so my monsters had to do the job in my stead.
Even so, this Vajra Sword weapon is pretty interesting!
It looks like the more strengthened I become, the more powerful the weapon itself will become.

I know it’s probably impossible to achieve, but I’d like to have a few more of those at hand.
Going back will no doubt take some time, but now I finally have more reasons to face Deva King again.
However, something strange happened on the way back.
It was in the area where the floating bombs appeared.
The room originally had a hidden door placed within it, but now it looked different than when I was walking through it last time.
It was now filled with light and enemies, but not the usual Floating Bombs.
No, it was something else entirely.

Majin, huh?
As in, a devil?
Whatever they are, they are certainly not Event Monsters since I can clearly see their levels and there are no spectators to be seen anywhere.
So what do we have here?
The Sword Dancer was obviously wielding a sword.
Dark Clown with small magical spheres that constantly appeared and disappeared.
A Juggler who was juggling around with four bowling pin-like clubs.
Pantomime who moved his hands in front of him as if he was trapped behind an invisible wall.
Acrobat jumping around like a gymnast, his weapons yet to be seen.
A Knife Thrower that swings his small daggers at a nearby wall.
What an unusual bunch that was.
Well, whatever they are, I’m sure we’ll be just fine.
I’m lucky there are no Mad Bards with them this time. Just remembering my previous encounter with a group of enemies similar to them gives me conniptions.
The terrain is also perfectly flat, so even if they try to run or hide, Jean will be able to continue to attack them from above.
However, some of the monsters which I’ve seen for the first time might prove to be somewhat bothersome to deal with, mainly Sword Dancer, Dark Clown, Juggler and Acrobat Star.
So, what should I do here?
Of course, I’m going to fight!
After all, all of them are targets for subjugation.
Their levels are a little bit higher than the ones I met at the Area Portal, which means I should still keep my wits about me.
Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like they’ve seen me yet, so I have time to cast my spells again.
This encounter might not be so bad after all.
Jean is the one who begins the assault.
Her special attack hits the Knife Thrower and she slams him into the wall with it.
Then she continues to fly above the Majin’s to keep a close eye on them.
While the enemies are distracted it allows me to close the distance between us.
Now we have to make sure that our first attack will leave a good impression with them!
「Thunder Shower!」
My opener is a spear of chain lightning that hits all of the opponents.
And out of all of them, 3 ended up being paralyzed.
All in all, a pretty satisfying result.
But I had a feeling that something was not right here.
Wait a minute, is one of them missing?!
And then I felt something hitting me from the side with such a force that I almost lost my balance and fell to the ground.
My HP bar decreased by about 10%.
What was that?! Who did it?!
Then I noticed a Dark Clown with his magical spheres to my left.
This guy!
I slash at him with my blade which was changed into a lightning one in advance.
It cuts through him like through a piece of butter.
But there was no reaction from him, and in the next second, he had disappeared like a spirit.
No, it was definitely an illusion, because right now there are 2 Dark Clowns in front of me.
Wait, illusion?
But I didn’t even see him casting any spell!
Even so, his MP bar got visibly reduced.
Illusions and an attack similar to Gravity Bullet that does not require normal casting method and illusions…
Are those the abilities of the Dark Clown?
Which is the main body and which is the illusion?
Well, it doesn’t matter as long as I’ll attack both of them at the same time!
The other ones attacked my monsters, but they were focusing on Jericho the most.
They must have recognized him as the most dangerous one among them.
And then, just like last time, a strange chase has begun.

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.
