Chapter 218: 218
Chapter 218: His Name Is Wukong, Opening a Wormhole
Low-level fighters, ≤ 100,000 times!
Intermediate-level fighters, 100,000 to 200,000 times!
Top-level fighters, 200,000 to 500,000 times.
Ace fighters, 500,000 to 1,000,000 times.
Apex fighters, 1,000,000 times to infinity!
The low, intermediate, top-level, and ace fighters might have looked normal, but the apex fighters… that was quite shocking.
The lower limit was 1,000,000 times and the upper limit was infinite!
Was that even human?
It was simply unimaginable!
“From the attribute index, one can see that most Golden Saiyan Apes are no match for the Flame Astral Behemoths. That is also the truth.”
9527 smiled and said, “Although the Golden Saiyan Apes are powerful, not all of them can just roll the Flame Astral Behemoths over.
“It can be said that the vast majority of Golden Saiyan Apes are no match for the Flame Astral Behemoth. That’s a good reflection of their power.”
“Indeed!”
Ling Jiu nodded. “Only the most powerful apex fighters among the entire Golden Saiyan Apes can crush a Flame Astral Behemoth for sure.”
“Yes, only the apex fighters can take down a Flame Astral Behemoth with certainty.”
9527 nodded a little and slowly said, “So, what are you going to do? Release the little guy inside or allow it to continue its sleep?”
“Let me think about it.”
Ling Jiu rubbed his temples and then asked the last question. “With apex fighters being so powerful, their numbers should be extremely rare, right?”
“Naturally.”
9527 nodded. “The Golden Saiyan Apes are strictly hierarchical. Oftentimes, only the royal family gives birth to apex fighters, and the royal family only has a single hereditary branch.”
Ling Jiu nodded slightly as he heard that, and then wondered. “In other words, the possibility of him being an apex fighter is very low?”
“Almost zero.”
9527 nodded and said. “Given how revered the Golden Saiyan Apes royals are, how could they appear in such a place?”
“All right then!”
Ling Jiu breathed a sigh of relief and suddenly felt disappointed at the same time.
In the end, while Ling Jiu was worried that this Golden Saiyan Ape would cause trouble, but he also hoped that the latter was an apex warrior. In that case, he could replicate the latter’s physique.
Therefore, Ling Jiu was feeling a little conflicted.
“Wait a moment, this mechanical shell is quite troublesome,” 9527 said before it went to work.
Taking advantage of the free time, Ling Jiu took out the void worm and replicated its ability.
“Ah!!”
Twenty minutes later, Ling Jiu carefully felt his newly-gained ability, and he could not help but let out a deep breath.
The sea of space still looked like the same sea of space, but he could see much, much farther away. As for how far, Ling Jiu could not tell, at least hundreds of thousands of kilometers he supposed?
There was another thing to point out.

He was able to control the space points in his surroundings, use Dimensional Lock, Dimensional Slash, and Dimensional crush, or create a small-scale dimensional passageway… and the like.
Now, as long as he wanted to, he could create a long-distance dimensional passageway within his field of vision.
A long-distance dimensional passageway could no longer be called that, but a… wormhole.
“Is this the ability to create wormholes? Everything is almost instinctual, simple, easy and without any difficulty at all.”
Ling Jiu murmured, “If I want to go to the moon now, I can just create a dimensional passageway with just a wave of my hand. After all, 380,000 kilometers isn’t that far.”
Of course, in addition to the ability to create dimensional passageways, Ling Jiu’s other dimensional abilities had also greatly improved. His manipulation of space had become even more intuitive as if he was manipulating his own arm, and Ling Jiu had never expected it.
“Ling Jiu, it worked!”
9527’s voice rang out and Ling Jiu immediately looked over as he saw the black egg slowly rising from the ground and then slowly opened.
A dazzling golden light seeped out of it, as if one was opening a treasure chest full of gold and diamonds.
“It’s opened!”
Ling Jiu immediately looked over.
The black egg was fully opened and it was filled with a strange green liquid, and inside the liquid was… a baby?
Let’s call it a baby for now.
He was indeed a baby. His face was also human, but his body, arms, and legs were covered with golden hair…
He had a tender, chubby face, and except for the golden hair on his body, he was not much different from a baby from Earth.
“This is a Golden Saiyan Ape?”
Ling Jiu stared at the little chubby guy. He found it difficult to connect him to the powerful race that 9527 had compared to the Flame Astral Behemoth and created an eternal cosmic civilization.
“He’s going to wake up soon!”
9527 smiled.
As soon as its+ voice trailed off, the little guy opened his wistful eyes, with a look of confusion in it as his gaze first fell onto Ling Jiu.
He then stretched out both arms at Ling Jiu as he babbled away.
“9527, he wants to…”
Ling Jiu quickly looked at 9527.
“He is now like a newborn baby, I guess he wants you to hold him?” 9527 said with some uncertainty.
“He wants me to hold him?”
Ling Jiu shook his head and reached out to carry the little guy. He had been a little put off by the slimy green liquid on the little guy’s body at first.
Amazingly, however, when he left the mechanical shell, his body was extremely dry, without a drop of liquid.
“Gyagyagya…”
When Ling Jiu carried the little guy in his arms, he was extremely happy. He immediately stretched his golden hand out and grabbed Ling Jiu’s face. A kid grabbing at a person’s face was nothing really.

Yet, when the little guy’s hands caught his face, Ling Jiu’s expression suddenly changed. He felt a terrifying force acting on his face, almost shattering his bones. Ling Jiu immediately held the little guy away from his face.
“Bloody hell. What kind of strength is this!”
Ling Jiu’s face turned pale.
“He has been sleeping inside the mechanical shell for too long, which resulted in malnutrition some time ago. He is now at his weakest state but still has terrifying strength that rivals a Level 9 Planetary lifeform.
“Once he eats something and regains his vigor, he will become a stellar lifeform.”
9527 leisurely said, “Take him back after a while, and I will examine his physical attribute index.”
“You want me to take him back?”
Ling Jiu was taken aback as he looked at the little guy in his hand and then at 9527. “How do you expect me to take him back? I won’t be able to explain it?”
“The Golden Saiyan Apes are communal creatures. It won’t be good for his growth if he follows me,” 9527 said.
“Moreover, he is like a blank sheet of paper now. If you take good care of him, when he grows up, he will treat you as his dearest person…”
“His dearest person…”
Ling Jiu’s eyes turned and decisively said, “Since he’s a communal being and following you is not for good him, I’ll take care of him.”
“That’s for the best.”
9527 smiled. “Is there anything else?”
“None.”
Ling Jiu shook his head.
“Give him a name then,” 9527 said with a smile.
“A name…”
Ling Jiu frowned and thought for a moment: “Let’s just call him Wukong then!”
“Wukong? Good name.”
9527 nodded slightly. “One more thing, shave the hair off his body so that he will not be so conspicuous.”
“Makes sense!”
…
Ling Jiu left Pandora with Wukong. Half an hour later, he returned to the Antarctic Ice City, but when he passed through the wormhole, he was stopped by Uncle Wang who guarded it.
“Halt!”
“Ugh…”
Ling Jiu showed himself and looked at Uncle Wang who was lying on the recliner. He was staring at Ling Jiu with a stunned expression “Uncle Wang, so you can see me?”
“Bullsh*t!”
Uncle Wang rolled his eyes. “What are you thinking, trying to fool my eyes with your little spatial tricks?”
Ling Jiu smiled. “So, you know every time I leave Mars secretly?”
“Of course!”
Uncle Wang faintly said, “There’re orders from above, due to your special abilities, you are allowed to enter and leave the camp at will, so I never stop you, but…”
Uncle Wang pointed at Wukong in Ling Jiu’s arms and sternly. said, “The matriculation camp prohibits non-affiliated people from entering, so this child cannot go in.”
“Uncle Wang, where can he go if I cannot take him into the camp?”
Ling Jiu smiled bitterly. “Can you just make an exception and let me take him in?
“Plus, he’s a newborn baby, who knows nothing, so nothing will happen!”
“Absolutely not!” Uncle Wang said sternly.
“The matriculation camp prohibits the entry of non-affiliated individuals!”
“Uncle Wang…”
Ling Jiu tried to wiggle his way but Uncle Wang was an old coot and no matter what Ling Jiu said, he would not agree so Ling Jiu had no choice but to leave the Antarctic Ice City with the child.
“If you don’t let me take him in, the more I want to do it!”
Ling Jiu’s temper also rose, and after leaving the Antarctic Ice City, he came to the ice field outside and looked at the sky above his head as something came to mind.
“Mars doesn’t seem all that far from Earth…”
Ling Jiu murmured a little and then became to look for Mars. Standing on Earth, one could still see Mars at night with their naked eyes.
It was just not that obvious.
So, Mars to the naked eye looked exactly the same as other stars in the sky. No distinctions could be seen. Therefore, a telescope was needed.
However, Ling Jiu did not need that.
His eyesight was many times stronger than that of an ordinary person, and it was better than a telescope.
The only question was that Ling Jiu did not know which star Mars was, but that was not too difficult for him.
Ling Jiu first downloaded a star map software, and then quickly found Mars’ position using gravity sensing. He then locked onto the unremarkable star in the sky and then a thought appeared in his mind.
“Buzzz…”
A dimensional passageway formed.
Ling Jiu stepped into the passageway and after some shuttling, he had arrived in an area of space tens of thousands of kilometers away.
It was dead silence around him.
Beneath him was a beautiful blue planet; it was Earth.
From this perspective, the beauty of Earth and its majesty shocked him to the depths of his soul. It was something that could not be described in words.
Just from movies alone, one could not fully appreciate the vastness and charm of Earth.
Of course, the most eye-catching thing was the big fireball that was constantly burning not too far away as the sun’s endless light and heat were constantly radiating across space.
That was the sun.
He then looked at Mars, and at this moment it was already quite big, just like an orange disc. It was not exactly massive but not small either.
“Again!”
Ling Jiu waved his hand again as another dimensional passageway appeared. Ling Jiu plunged head first into it, and when he reappeared again, he was countless of kilometers away.
Looking at Mars again… it had gotten even bigger.
“Again!”
With that, after three attempts, Ling Jiu arrived at Mars as he stood high in the sky looking down at it, Mars was still a desert planet.
Aside from desert, there was nothing else but deserts.
The Arcana Tree planted by the matriculation camp cadets had not taken form in scale yet, so one could hardly see them from above Mars.
“But!”
“Mars now has a suitable temperature. It won’t be long before lakes, oceans, and finally, forests appear on Mars.”
“Everything takes time.”
Ling Jiu murmured slightly as another wormhole appeared…

The Final Test
Earth was overtaken by the Calumnia ten years ago and if it weren't for the alien Occisio race who saved the remnants of humanity, Indi's race would have gone extinct. Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).
