Chapter 228: 228
Chapter 228: Let Me Show Off? Opening a Wormhole
“I think… I have a way.”
A weak voice sounded.
Swish…
Everyone turned and look at the person speaking.
“Ling Jiu, don’t talk nonsense!”
Seeing the person speaking, the camp commandant’s expression changed slightly as she scolded him. “All of the earth’s top echelon are here, how can you talk nonsense here? Go back to Earth this instance!”
“Commandant, I really do have a way!”
Ling Jiu smiled bitterly.
“Although you have the Dimension Arcana, your level is too low, any stellar lifeform can sense the fluctuations in space, you will not succeed!”
The camp commandant yelled. “Why aren’t you going back yet!”
“Commandant, I understand what you are saying.”
Ling Jiu said immediately. “But I do have a way to send people to the alien spaceship in an instant.”
“You…”
The camp commandant was furious and wanted to continue admonishing Ling Jiu but Emperor Might stopped her and looked at Ling Jiu.
“You said you have a way to send 1269 into that spaceship, tell me about your method.
Everyone also looked at Ling Jiu. As humanity’s top echelon, and powerful stellar lifeforms, they naturally would not know about insignificant people like Ling Jiu.
Since he was an insignificant person, how could it be possible for him to send 1269 onto the alien spacecraft?
After all, even they could not do it!
“Yes, Chairman.”
What Ling Jiu said shocked everyone. “I have the ability to create wormholes, and can open up a wormholes into that spaceship in an instant.”
“Although Dimension Arcana can be easily detected by stellar lifeforms, wormholes are not ordinary dimensional abilities.”
“What did you just say?”
When Ling Jiu said that, everyone was shocked as they looked at him in disbelief, much like looking at a monster. Creating a wormhole?
What was a wormhole?
That was a passageway that existed within the space-time continuum, either formed naturally, or created by a higher civilization.
A human!
Able to create a wormhole?
You gotta be joking!

The camp commandant who was the most familiar with Ling Jiu was among those who looked at Ling Jiu in amazement. She had never heard that Ling Jiu could create a wormhole before.
“Boy, you said you could make wormholes!”
Before anyone spoke, 1269 jumped onto Ling Jiu’s shoulder and looked at Ling Jiu with interest. “Do you know what a wormhole is?”
“Of course!”
Under the gaze of the various big shots, Ling Jiu felt a great deal of pressure, but facing 1269, Ling Jiu felt a cordiality from it, just like looking at 9527.
He smiled and said. “Speaking alone is useless, how about I create a wormhole now and sent you to that alien spacecraft?”
“Boy, can you really create wormholes?”
1269 originally thought Ling Jiu was joking, but seeing Ling Jiu’s seriousness, it seemed like he was not just bluffing?
“Why won’t you people believe me?”
Ling Jiu shook his head and suddenly looked towards the sky. There were three moons on this planet, two large and one small, hanging quietly in the sky.
Ling Jiu pointed towards the largest moon among them, and said. “It’s useless to say anything more, let’s facts speak for itself.”
“Ugh…”
1269 was shocked by Ling Jiu’s serious expression, and the other big shots of Earth also looked at Ling Jiu in a daze. To let facts speak for itself, could it be…
Just as everyone was stunned, a white sphere emitting a milky white light appeared before them.
Ling Jiu said. “Everyone, the wormhole has been formed. By following this wormhole, you can head to that largest moon there.”
“Done already?”
“Are you for real?”
Everyone looked at each other.
Emperor Might did not say much as he instantly entered the wormhole. 1269 took a deep look at Ling Jiu and then chased after him.
“I’ll go and have a look too!”
The red-browed baldy also walked in.
“I’ll go and have a gander as well.”
Other people walked in one after another.
“Commandant, you might want to go and have a look too.”

Ling Jiu smiled at the camp commandant and said.
She nodded and walked into the wormhole.
“Bloody top brass wankers looking down at people, you lot were the ones forcing me to show off.”
Ling Jiu smiled and shook his head, and entered the wormhole. After a while, they came to the moon.
Unlike Earth’s moon, the moon here was different as it has an atmosphere, and it was a very rich one.
So the entire planet was orange-yellowish, like an orange quietly suspended in the vast outer space.
A group of big shots now stood on the moon as they looked down at the massive behemoth.
“To arrive at the moon in an instant.”
“It is really a wormhole! It’s a proper wormhole!”
“This kid can actually make wormholes.”
Shock!
Disbelief!
Incredulity!
Leaving only gasps!
The group of big shots could not help but gasp. As the calmness and arrogance they had before was no where to be found as they looked at Ling Jiu like he was a monster.
The camp commandant’s expression was the most exaggerated, first from shocked, to shame, to exhilaration, it was so complex and finally turned into shame.
“Ling Jiu, since you can make a wormhole, why didn’t you open up one between Europa and Mars? That we had to expend so much effort to dig a channel across Europa to draw its water?”
“Ma’am, you may not have known it.”
Ling Jiu smiled bitterly. “I had only just got this ability.”
“Is that so?”
The camp commandant was shocked.
“I had only gotten this ability after Wormhole 13 had opened, I didn’t have it before.” Ling Jiu shrugged.
“Alright then!”
The camp commandant shook her head.
“Good job kid, you can make even wormholes.”
1269 stared at Ling Jiu with scorching eyes, as if it had discovered a brand new world.
“Emperor Might, you must protect this kid. With him, you can save a lot of time for the rise of humans.”
Emperor Might nodded. He fully understood what 1269 meant. For a civilization to rise, spaceflight technology was top priority.
Why does one need spaceflight technology?
It was to discover new planets!
Look for new resources!
Of course, to open up new domains.
So, interstellar travel was essential.
But with Ling Jiu, what’s the need for that? Wouldn’t it be easier to just open up a wormhole directly? Why bother building a spaceship?
“Ling Jiu, I’ve always thought that you would grow into a pillar of humanity, but I had still underestimated you.”
Emperor Might slapped Ling Jiu on the shoulder, his eyes filled with admiration and relief. “Very good, very good!”
“Chairman, you flatter me,” Ling Jiu replied immediately.
“Boy, do you know me?”
The red-browed baldy squinted with a smile.
“No… I don’t!”
Ling Jiu shook his head quickly.
“Hahaha, that’s how it should be!” The red-browed baldy laughed out loud. “I am the chairman of the Vulcan Arcana Combine. Everyone calls me Vulcan.”
“Vulcan!!”
Ling Jiu was shocked. This was the big boss of Vulcan Arcana Combine, the second strongest person on Earth!
“Greetings, Mr. Vulcan!”
Ling Jiu hurriedly greeted him.
“Don’t be so uptight.”
Vulcan looked kind.
“Roger!”
Others also stepped forward to greet Ling Jiu with extreme enthusiasm, with their previous indifference and arrogance before no where to be found.
This flattered Ling Jiu. These were all top level big shots of Earth, who could talk directly to the leaders of the world.
In the end, it was Emperor Might who relieved Ling Jiu. “1269, are you confident you an control this alien spaceship?”
“As long as Ling Jiu can open a wormhole into the spacecraft and let me enter it. I have a hundred percent certainty to seize control of the ship.”
1269 appeared relaxed. “It’s just a mere galactic civilization. Its artificial intelligence programming must be very low-level and will not be my match.”
“In that case, go ahead.”
Emperor Might shouted, “Once 1269 takes control of the enemy’s spacecraft, we will deal with the aliens on the planet!”
“Understood!”
Everyone perked up.
Immediately after, the group returned to the planet’s surface through the wormhole as Ling Jiu locked onto the alien spacecraft, and instantly opened a wormhole directly lead into the spacecraft.
“I’m going now!”

The Flesh and Blood Dungeon
This is not the usual dungeon core story. I did not originally plan to make it humorous, but, well, you'll see. This fiction will not turn into a story about a bunch of adventurers who enter a giant boars anus looking for treasure. No promises tho.
