Chapter 254: 254
Chapter 254: Lock the Void Down, Flower Fairy
The star system next door was rather peculiar. It was a binary star system!
A G star[1] which was similar to the sun, and a white dwarf, [2]which looked like the earth, were the main astronomical objects of this star system.
By exerting gravitational forces upon one another, they orbited around a common center of mass.
The sun that controls the solar system is also a G star, a class of main-sequence stars.
As for this G star, it had a mass of 1.0 to 1.4 times that of the sun.
On the other hand, a white dwarf is a high-density star formed when a G star’s core collapses at the end of its cycle.
“The G star-white dwarf combination is very common for binary star systems in the universe!” Leoux explained, “A few years ago, this star system was composed of two G stars, but one of them burned to the end of life and evolved into a white dwarf. That white dwarf may be small in its size, but its gravity is strong!”
“How strong is it?”
This was the first time Ling Jiu had witnessed a white dwarf, and he couldn’t help but be curious.
He knew that a white dwarf’s gravity is strong. After all, how can it be weak for a white dwarf in the size of earth but containing the stellar mass of the sun?
However, he did not know how strong it was.
“After a rough calculation, it shows that the surface gravity of this white dwarf is about 180,000 times that of your earth!” Leoux said dully. “Under such strong gravity, any object will cease to exist, even atoms will get crushed!”
“One hundred and eighty thousand times the surface gravity of the earth?”
Ling Jiu took a chilly breath. “It’s terrible. If we are on the surface of a white dwarf, we will be crushed into meat sauce in an instant.”
“Absolutely!” Leoux nonchalantly said. “However, it depends.”
“When you become a super-clustered lifeform, you can easily withstand the gravity of a white dwarf. It can’t do anything to you even if you dance on its surface.”
“Super-clustered lifeform!” Ling Jiu’s eyes glistened.
“Let’s go find the Insectoid Queen!” Leoux smiled while pointing at a planet near the G star and said, “The Insectoid Queen should be on that planet if I’m not wrong!”
“Huh?” Ling Jiu looked in the direction pointed out by Leoux.
In total, there were eleven planets in this star system. Only three of them were of the white dwarf. These three planets were all gas giants[3]. As for the remaining eight planets, they all revolved around that G star. Leoux was referring to the third planet from the G star.
In terms of position alone, it was the earth in the solar system.
The two boarded the battleship and soon arrived at the surface of the planet.

Looking at this beautiful planet, Ling Jiu frowned slightly. A suspicion flashed in his eyes. “Leoux, are you sure that the Insectoid Queen is hiding on this planet?”
With no exception, all the planets visited by the insectoid army before had become dessert planets after the resources were looted.
But this planet’s condition was totally different!
There were blue skies, vast oceans, large tracts of forests, rugged rivers, and all kinds of complex landscapes… It was just like Earth’s twin sibling.
Could the Insectoid Queen hide on such a planet?
“I have told you that the Insectoid Queen is fundamentally different from the common insectoid. One can say that it is the only intelligent lifeform in an insectoid army!” Leoux smiled and continued, “What does intelligent lifeform mean? It is a lifeform with intelligence!”
“Every intelligent lifeform has its own preference and emotion and does enjoy good food. And the Insectoid Queen is a very beautiful lifeform that is completely different from those ugly bugs!”
“Okay!” Ling Jiu rubbed his nose. “Could you locate the Insectoid Queen?”
“Although I haven’t found it, I’m sure that the Queen is definitely on this planet. To prevent it from escaping, we must make some arrangements!”
As Leoux smiled mysteriously, it launched hundreds of space shuttle-like aircraft.
These aircraft disappeared into the void as soon as they appeared. And when they re-appeared, they were in various areas of the planet.
Ling Jiu was watching the exterior scenery simulated inside the mothership.
These ‘space shuttles’ were evenly distributed over the planet, surrounding the planet in clusters.
In the next moment, the surface of each space shuttle burst into black light, spreading in all directions.
In the end, all the black lights were connected together to form a black screen, which completely enveloped the planet about the size of the earth.
Subsequently, as the space shuttles disappeared along with the black screen, light returned to the surface of the planet, as if the previous scene had never happened.
Ling Jiu was a little confused upon seeing this and said in doubt, “Leoux, what did you just do?”
“Lock this planet down so that it can’t escape!” Leoux chuckled. “Let’s go and catch a ‘turtle’ in the ‘urn’!”
“As usual, you are thoughtful!” Ling Jiu couldn’t help but praise him.
Leoux was indeed very experienced. It would take care of every aspect. Moreover, it was very knowledgeable. Ling Jiu felt very lucky to have its assistance.
“That is!” Leoux smiled, then drove the battleship into the planet’s atmosphere, and after a while, they had arrived at the surface of the planet.
Immediately after, the Leoux radiated mysterious waves and began to search for the Insectoid Queen.
As the spaceship with the highest technology from the Emissian Civilization, Leoux had its own unique detection function. No lifeforms on this planet can escape its detection.
As predicted, the detection only took a while to show the result.
“Tsk tsk, we should not underestimate the strength of this Insectoid Queen. Besides the Insectoid Queen, there are actually three giant bugs of the class of galactic lifeform. Such strength is enough for it to be a powerful god in this remote star system! ”

“You’ve found it?” Ling Jiu was shocked.
“Yes. I’ve located it!” Leoux smiled confidently. “I have already put a Gravity Mark on the Insectoid Queen. It cannot escape from us now! Go, let’s go!”
…
This planet, like the earth, was beautiful.
In a vast primitive jungle, there was a beautiful lake. It was like a crystal inlaid in the endless forest.
In the center of the lake, there was a small island covered with beautiful flowers, like a huge garden.
At this moment, a small fairy-like creature the size of palm sighted flying among the flowers by flapping seven pairs of cicada wings on its back.
The fair-skinned creature was an exquisite beauty wearing a wreath on its head. Each pair of the cicada wings on its back was in a different color. They were red, orange, yellow, green, blue, blue and purple…
It was a pity that the creature’s size was too small. If it were in a human size, it would be a stunner or a flower fairy descending from a garden in heaven.
It was really beautiful.
“La la la…”
The little creature flapping its colorful cicada wings, hummed an unknown melody while visiting the flowers one by one, just like a hardworking bee.
It was graceful, quiet, cheerful, and natural.
Ling Jiu was dumbfounded as he fixed his gaze at the creature. He spoke in disbelief. “Are you sure you didn’t mistake it for the Insectoid Queen, Leoux?”
“There is a saying from earthlings — don’t judge a book by its cover. I think it does make sense.”
Leoux was not surprised by Ling Jiu’s doubts at all. “Don’t be fooled by its appearance. This little thing is brutal!”
Ling Jiu smiled bitterly. “But I really can’t relate it with the Insectoid Queen!”
“You will know in a moment!” said Leoux while shaking his head.
Immediately, the Leoux suddenly appeared in the air once it received the order to catch the Insectoid Queen, blocking the sky in an instant.
The little creature dancing among the flowers immediately noticed that something was wrong. Its originally relaxed expression instantly changed. It became cold and fierce.
While it was staring coldly at Leoux, the battleship floating above its head, its whole body exuded a horrible aura. The creature seemed to be ready to launch a thunderous blow at any time.
At the same time, three figures suddenly came out from the lake surrounding the island. They were three giant bugs over a thousand meters long — a giant red ant, giant praying mantis, and giant snakefly.
The three fierce beasts flew to the front of the little creature and stared at Leoux with their cold and violent eyes, protecting the creature behind them.
“See that?” Leoux looked at Ling Jiu.
“I did not expect that fairy-like creature to be the Insectoid Queen!”
Ling Jiu was in disbelief. “Who would have thought that the master behind the insectoid army is such a small and pretty little thing!”
“There are so many incredible things in the universe. Compared to those, this is nothing!”
Leoux smiled faintly. “Shall we catch it?”
“Yes!” Ling Jiu replied in a cold tone. Apparently, his compassion ceased once he confirmed that this creature was the Insectoid Queen.
‘Leoux was right. We should not judge a book by its cover. This little creature might look docile and innocent, but it was the culprit behind the deaths of countless people on the earth during the invasion of the insectoid army.’
‘So we should not show it mercy!”
Woosh!
Leoux suddenly shot a black light and instantly enveloped the Insectoid Queen. It failed to break free despite struggling madly.
The black light emitted by Leoux was not an ordinary beam but a kind of shackle with the ability to imprison and transmit a target.
Its power was unparalleled. It was not a shackle that a target can break free easily.
“Squaaaaaawk!”
The anxious Insectoid Queen let out a sharp cry. At the same time, its body had transformed.
It had transformed into a 1,500-meter-tall fluffy moth with rainbow-colored wings on its back, emitting a terrifying wave of energy.
“This is its true form?” Ling Jiu took a chill breath. Earlier, the creature was stunning and pretty. Now, no one could associate it with those qualities. It was an eyesore now.
“In general, an Insectoid Queen has three forms — regular form, combat form, and reproduction form. Now it has taken the combat form.” Leoux explained further with a smile, “Of course, along with different age groups, these three forms will also undergo earth-shaking changes!”
“This Queen has just become a juvenile, and it still has a long way to go before reaching the peak of its adulthood!”
Ling Jiu nodded slightly and memorized Leoux’s words. Every word Leoch said was knowledge, and he would memorize it carefully.
“Squaaaaaawk!”
The Insectoid Queen, who had switched to combat form, screamed frantically. Although it had used all of its strength, it could not break free from the shackle of black light.
The Insectoid Queen was getting even more anxious. It hurriedly summoned the three generals. Three giant bugs over a thousand meters long quickly attacked the black light, but it was futile.
Despite that, they were out of options, so they could only target and attack Leoux again.
As powerful galactic lifeforms, their attack power was supposed to be absolutely unparalleled. However, when they attacked Leoux, it was unaffected. It did not even shake the slightest!
“This is comparable to insects trying to shake a tree, punching above their weight!”
Leoux snorted and launched an attack outrageously.
Woosh!
