Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 171 – The Old Premier Led a Team into the Internet Café
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
Transportation between the major cities in Dajin was very convenient. After all, in the world of cultivators, there were big flight spiritual artifacts.
Although they weren’t as fast as flying with the sword control technique, they were not slow!
Of course, only rich people could afford them.
The cultivators and warriors could take the cross-regional spiritual boats, so could the ordinary people with money.
Although the civil officials in this country were generally paid much less than the military officials, these high-level civil officials could afford to ride the spiritual boats.
If they were in a hurry, they could afford to take the top-level spiritual boats.
Besides, it wasn’t a problem of affordability. After all, civil officials had taken this path in order to accumulate enough resources so that their descendants could have the opportunity to become warriors or even cultivators.
Now, they found that they didn’t have to wait for their descendants since they themselves had the opportunity of becoming warriors!
No matter how much it cost, they would go and check it for themselves!
After the morning meeting, most of the officials walked out of the Grand Royal Palace in groups of two or three; only Premier Zhang had a large group of people around him.
“Premier Zhang! You said that we just need to watch Jade Dynasty to…”
“Hey! Many people have asked the same question, and even I can answer it! Jade Dynasty is as magical as those natural wonders which can increase one’s cultivation strength with only one look!” A middle-aged man seemed to be tired of hearing the same question again and again, so he answered it himself. Then, he asked his own question, “Do you mean that we can also learn the combat techniques and spiritual spells in this TV series?”
“According to the legends, the first emperor of Dajin had stumbled onto a star map in an ancient cave. After gazing at the map for one night, his cultivation strength skyrocketed to a new height!” The people talked among themselves, “Is it possible that Jade Dynasty is one of such treasures?”

Premier Zhang ignored the person who just brought up that legend and answered the middle-aged official’s question, “Of course we can learn them! Otherwise, where do you think the sword control technique and the close-range combat skill that are now famous after the national examination came from?”
“They are all from Jade Dynasty?!” The officials were stunned.
In this world, most people had resorted to the path of scholars and civil officials not because they wanted to, but because they lacked the necessary talent to become warriors. Now that they saw another path, they were all excited.
“Jade Dynasty is only one of the choices!” Premier Zhang said, “That shop has many games, but the games all involve violent battles. I think the TV series is most fitting for us scholars!”
“Right! We’ll just watch the battles; we can’t battle ourselves anyway…” They smiled in embarrassment, knowing that their combat abilities were far inferior to those of the warriors and cultivators.
“We can ignore the other choices,” Premier Zhang concluded, “But I think we all should watch the TV series!”
“You are right, Premier. It doesn’t matter how busy we are; we must find time to watch the TV series!”
…
– Outside of the internet café –
Song Qingfeng, Lin Shao, and a few others were walking behind a tall woman who was wearing red leather armor, and they told her, “Yesterday, we watched the fifth and sixth episodes of Jade Dynasty. They are fascinating, right? Young Master Lin?”
“Yeah! Instructor Mu, the previous episodes are as fascinating as the fifth and sixth episodes! I highly recommend this TV series!”
“You missed the livestreams in the past two days,” Xu Luo said, “But it doesn’t matter since you can watch all six episodes today!”
“Is this TV series really this good?” Mu Hongzhu remembered that she hadn’t reached Act II in Diablo yet. After buying the Legend of the Sword and Fairy, she had just reached the part where she could learn the sword control technique. Was it wise of her to buy Jade Dynasty now?
Each of the items in this shop was very good, which made it hard for her to choose!

However… Mu Hongzhu thought that she could finish Jade Dynasty in one day and then continue playing the others tomorrow. At this thought, she said, “Then, I’ll watch it.”
…
Premier Zhang and his group didn’t arrive until 2 PM, and people saw an old man in his seventies lead a group of people, mostly seniors, into the internet cafe.
“Premier, there’re so many customers here?!” some of them glanced around and said.
“Guys! Don’t worry!” Premier Zhang stroked his beard and signaled them to calm down, saying, “I did the calculation, and this is the moment when most of the customers get offline. You guys pay first and then wait behind someone who doesn’t have others waiting. If you can’t find seats here, you may go upstairs or to the shop across the strength; I’m sure you will soon get a seat.”
“Premier, that’s a wise arrangement!”
“You haven’t had lunch, right?” Premier Zhang continued, “This shop has Laotan Chinese Sauerkraut Instant Noodles. It’s a bit pricy, but the taste is superb, better than the food from the Yingtian Pavilion. Even the princes loved it! If you like, you can buy a bowl.”
“We’re fatigued and starving after traveling so far. They even have food here? Perfect!” The officials looked at each other and said, “We are starving! Let’s go and see if the instant noodles are as delicious as Premier Zhang claimed!”
“Guys! Go and buy the instant noodles!”
Soon, the shop was again filled with a special aroma.
On the other side, Dong Qingli had finished playing games. She stood behind Fang Qi and watched him kill monsters and try to get items and runes as she complained, “Sir, why don’t you expand your shop? It’s too crowded here!”
She was a bit worried. For now, she could still get a seat if she came early. But in the future, she might not get a seat even if she came very early. What should she do then?
She even heard rumors about rotten apples regarding the purchase of the Diablo novel. In the rumor, people had to get up at midnight and wait in line. If things went that far, she wouldn’t have time to sleep! She shivered at the thought!
“As to that, with more customers, the shop will naturally expand. It will be expanded tomorrow,” Fang Qi said.
“Tomorrow?” Besides Dong Qingli, the other players who were watching Fang Qi got excited at the news.
Song Qingfeng asked again, trying to confirm, “We’ll have more computers tomorrow?”
“How many more?!” Dong Qingli was worried that she still had to wait in line even after the shop provided more computers.
“Sir, we didn’t see you going out and buying any new land.” Dong Qingli and Zhang Wanyu had stayed all day long in the shop recently, and they looked doubtful.
“You don’t have to worry about that! You’ll know tomorrow.” Fang Qi guessed that if the space was going to increase by four times, the number of computers should increase by three to four times as well. Otherwise, the space would look empty.
With 300 to 500 more computers in the shop, he supposed that the customers wouldn’t have to wait in line any longer.
“We’ll know tomorrow?” The people who heard the news were baffled. “Will the shop experience some magical changes by then?”
At this moment, Mu Hongzhu walked up, looking dissatisfied. “Qingfeng, how come Jade Dynasty ended at the sixth episode? Where are the rest?”
“Ugh… Instructor Mu, I have a class in a moment, and I’ve got to go!”
When Song Qingfeng ran out of the door, another figure walked in.
“Sir! It’s almost 8 PM! Today, you’ll livestream the fifth and sixth episodes, right?” The newcomer was a handsome guy wearing a yellow robe; he was Xiao Yulv.
“The livestream for Jade Dynasty is only open on Monday and Tuesday, and two episodes will be played each day!”
“What about the fifth and the sixth episodes?!”
“They will be livestreamed next week! The other option is watching them on the computers!”
“Ah!” Xiao Yulv felt like dying.

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com
