Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 187 – This Was The Whole Story
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
In the Otherworld, the walls were covered with water stains, blood stains, and mold. Sometimes, the entire area was made up of rusty iron wire fences, and corpses were everywhere.
The road and routes that were open before in Silent Hill were sometimes inaccessible in the Otherworld and vice versa.
The Otherworld always revealed the evil thoughts and negative emotions hidden deep in people’s subconsciousness.
Under the illumination of the flashlight, the walls of the narrow corridor were clearly visible, and the smell of metal erosion and blood mingled together. The main character couldn’t hear sounds other than the dribbling water from the walls and his own footsteps.
Even the illumination of the flashlight couldn’t give the main character even a tiny sense of security. The further they went, the more intense the darkness was.
Like mud, the darkness swallowed the light coming from the flashlight, and the main character walked inside this mass of mud.
A sense of suppression overwhelmed his senses like surging water. The further he went, the heavier the sense of suffocation he felt.
From the hospital to the deserted prison, then to the basement, the main character walked deeper into the ground…
“What’s the shop owner doing?” The audience saw a small room that had a square entrance to a bottomless hole.
The hole was so small that only one person could fit through.
“Is he going to jump down there?!” In the prison full of wandering monsters, this hole looked so deep that it looked like it extended to the center of the earth.
Disregarding the possibility of hidden monsters, the narrow hole gave people a strong sense of suppression. If the main character jumped down from here, he might die from the fall!
“This seems to be the place…” Looking at the black hole on the screen, Nalan Mingxue seemed to be contemplating if she would dare to jump when she played the game. “This is the place on the picture!”

While everyone screamed, the main character on the screen jumped down!
After falling for a long while, he touched the solid ground and opened his eyes, finding that he was inside a circular well with unfathomable depth.
He opened the door at the bottom of the well and saw a gloomy and damp underground tunnel.
When he went further into the underground tunnel, time and space seemed to have changed, and the gate to the corridor lay on the ground while the corridor turned into a vertical tunnel leading to the underground.
It looked like a bottomless abyss!
Jumping down again and again, the main character seemed to fall deeper into the abyss. Meanwhile, he seemed closer to the darkness hidden deep in his heart!
At this moment, not only the girls but the guys were also shocked while they stared at the screen. The word ‘weird’ couldn’t even describe this place.
The chaotic space, the distorted and powerful monsters, and the narrow and black underground tunnels gave the viewers the feeling that the main character was getting closer to the dark and horrible things hidden in his heart which he had tried his best to ignore.
The deeper he got into his heart, the stronger the sense of fear he got. When he came to a courtyard and saw not only the graves of all the people he encountered on the way, including Angela whom he had met at the beginning of the game, but his own grave as well, the sense of fear reached the highest point!
Although it was daytime, people felt as if big cold-water waves were surging toward them!
The grave had been dug, but obviously the main character wasn’t buried in it yet. The grave looked bottomless!
At this moment, he must jump into his own grave just like he jumped into those dark and deep holes!
Maybe at the moment he jumped, the grave would close by itself, and there would be a new grave in this place!
“This game…” An Huwei and the others were stupefied!

Each step of the journey oozed horror and omens, but the main character had to walk down the path step by step. According to the setting of the game, the main character couldn’t retreat; he had said with determination, “I’d do anything to find her.”
Of course, Fang Qi couldn’t finish the game in one session. He decided to split it into three days.
In the grave where the Otherworld and the Fog World connected, he saw the endings of all the people including Angela, and the main character would come to an end here as well.
The Lakeview Hotel in Silent Hill, the real special place mentioned in his wife’s letter, was engraved in the deepest part of the main character’s memory. A videotape recording the truth was left in the hotel.
Through this videotape, he finally understood that a few days ago, he had killed Mary who suffered from an incurable disease by pressing a pillow onto her face.
Seeing the main character coming to this end after all he that had gone through, the people in the audience all froze.
After watching the beginning of the game, some thought that it was a story about admirable love, but after seeing this part, everyone panicked and was astonished, just as James in the game did. At first, they couldn’t accept the ending, but they sank into deep thought sitting on the couches in the end.
Everyone had thought that the main character was a courageous guy. They admired him even though he was just an ordinary person, but this scene shattered his perfect image in their minds.
At this moment, Mary’s voice came from the radio that he had picked up at the beginning of the story, asking him to see her as soon as possible.
After walking further for a while, he saw Maria again, the woman who resembled his wife in looks but had a different personality. She was the ideal image of his wife in his heart.
This time, she was fixed upside-down on an iron stand and was being killed by two Pyramid Heads.
James finally understood that the Pyramid Heads were created by himself to punish him for his crime.
They were created by his internal evils and couldn’t be killed!
In the corridor echoed his and Mary’s voices.
One day, he went to see Mary with flowers, but Mary was in a bad mood after knowing that she wouldn’t live long, and she vented all her negative emotions onto James, telling him to get out.
After James left in anger, Mary knew that she did the wrong thing and begged James to come back to keep her company…
James walked down the corridor and up the long iron stairs to the platform on the top of the hotel. There, he finally saw the person who had been waiting for him.
“Forgive me.”
“I told you that I wanted to die, James. I wanted the pain to end.”
“That’s why I did it, Honey. I just couldn’t watch you suffer.” James quickly changed his tone. “No! That’s not true… You also said that you didn’t want to die. The truth is I hated you. I wanted you out of the way. I wanted my life back…..”
“James… if that were true, then why do you look so sad?”
Seeing the conversation on the big screen, everything was clear. In this story, there were no heroes or great and selfless love.
It didn’t sing high praise of the good things that people wished for but couldn’t get; it showed the road of redemption of a small figure who kept examining his conscience.
This was the whole story.
At the end of the story, his wife’s letter came to the screen again.
“In my restless dreams, I see that town…”
Reading these words full of longing, everyone felt like something touch their hearts.
Maybe this was the most charming part about this game. It brought the players not only horror but feelings and warmth as well.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
