Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 204 – Internet Cafe Competition: Infancy of E-Sports
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
The next day was Sunday.
Everything returned to normal, and it seemed that nothing had an impact on the small shop.
When Fang Qi opened the door in the morning, he received another task.
Fang Qi yawned. “You keep giving me tasks! Are you not concerned that I’ll die of fatigue? I haven’t completed the previous task yet!”
The System was silent.
Fang Qi opened the System Interface and glanced at it.
[Internet Cafe Competition]
Huh? What is this? Fang Qi wondered.
[New Task: Internet Cafe Competition

Task Procedure: Everything from the round of 16 will be broadcasted live.
Registration Time: 3 days
Preparation Time: 1 day
Task Reward: any one of the items in the games in the competition.]
Seeing this task, Fang Qi knew that he would be busy for a while.
Sitting with Jiang Xiaoyue at the counter, Fang Qi made a bowl of instant noodles and added a sausage. While he enjoyed it, Jiang Xiaoyue ate buns and glared at him in jealousy.
Today, Fang Qi put up two small blackboards. One was for the shop rules while the other was about the competition. The most eye-catching one was the Internet Cafe Competition.
Fang Qi underlined the key points with colored chalk.
Therefore, many people noticed it upon entering the shop.
“Ugh? Internet Cafe Competition?” Xu Zixin just arrived. “Sir, what’s that?”
Fang Qi knocked on the black board. “Everything’s on here.”
“Ugh…” Xu Zixin read them carefully and said, “The awards are items?! Real items?!”
“What competition? Real items?” Su Tianji strode into the shop with her two disciples.
“Look here…” Xu Zixin pointed at the small blackboard and said in amazement, “The shop owner is holding an Internet Cafe Competition, and the awards are real items in the games!”
“What?! Competition?” Su Tianji was astonished since she knew how special the items in the games were.
“Diablo 2?!” Su Tianji was full of regrets. “I haven’t played it!”
Then, she saw Counter Strike!
“The award for the first place is a sniper rifle?!” Su Tianji’s eyes lit up. “The first place of Counter Strike Competition is mine!”
Fang Qi laughed after hearing her words. “You’re a bit too confident.”
Su Tianji looked at Fang Qi murderously and said, “Will you enter the competition as well?”

“I won’t.” Fang Qi pointed at the small black board. “Didn’t you see that it’s a team competition?”
“How can you do that?!” Su Tianji said, “Don’t you have individual competitions?”
Fang Qi said, “I don’t know about the future, but this time, it’s no!”
“Besides, each player can only register for one competition.” Fang Qi continued after thinking for a bit. “You must consider which competition you want to enter carefully since you can’t enter both.”
Su Tianji looked gloomy. “Why does Diablo have individual competitions?”
Fang Qi simply replied, “I didn’t make the rules.”
Su Tianji swallowed her complaint since she couldn’t question ‘that senior’.
At this moment, people like Xue Daolv and An Huwei also came into the shop.
Seeing the group at the counter, they were baffled and then surprised when they heard about the competition.
“Competition?!”
They played games purely for fun and the increase of cultivation strength; they had never imagined that there would be a competition!
This was fun!
“How do I register for the competition?” Xue Daolv had always wanted weapons such as the sniper rifles and pistols.
If he could have a sniper rifle with array formations engraved on it, it would definitely be a killing machine.
Although the other two guns were not as powerful as the sniper rifle, the creation processes were similar, and it would be a good opportunity to study it if he could get his hands on one of them.
“A Unique Item?” Li Haoran exclaimed, “It means that we can study the different artifact-making methods of Diablo?!”
“Something like that.” Fang Qi corrected him. “It should be called crafting.”
The top-level item that a player could get from this competition was an Unique Item, which meant that the items with runewords couldn’t be obtained.
Fang Qi had to rely on his own task to get the items with runewords.
It was the reward for him as the organizer of this Internet Cafe Competition.
“I’ll enter the Diablo Competition!” An Cheng made the decision immediately since his sorcerer character was among the top ranks in the internet cafe!
They had never imagined that they could win real items through a competition!
“I’ll enter the competition too!” Su Tianji said immediately, “I’ll enter the Counter Strike team competition.”
“Where’s your team?” Fang Qi rolled his eyes since she tried to enter the team competition all by herself.
“Eh…” Su Tianji paused for a few seconds before dashing away. “Then, I’ll get people right now!”
Standing by her side, Xue Daolv was furious. “Am I not good enough?!”
While Fang Qi was busy with organizing the competition, a well-dressed and thin middle-aged cultivator brought a young man who was wearing a white robe with a golden trim to the door of the internet cafe.
This well-dressed and thin middle age cultivator was Huo Chong!
“If your information is right, the Wuwei Daoist Alliance gave up the opportunity of entering the Cultivation Realm Conference because of this shop! This shop has poisoned the whole Jiangnan Region, and now even the Wuwei Daoist Alliance is in its control!” Huo Chong said.

The London Phantom: A Superhero Webnovel
London is an old city. It has survived floods, fires, plagues and the man-made smog of industry. It has stood firm against the armies of Vikings, Saxons, Normans and the aerial might of the Luftwaffe. It has borne witness to dynsatic feuds, civil wars, military occupation and the sin of regicide. Through all these disasters the city has survived not through force of arms, though its walls were once the envy of the world, but through adapting to the times. Enemies become dependant on the city, and the wealth of the world that flows through it, and so become new allies. If the rulers change, then the city welcomes them with open arms, and open lines of credit. In this way the city seeks to preserve its ancient rights and position of power. Superheroes are a new phenomenon. The first superpowered man walked out of the Nevada desert in 1950, and the world was forever changed. Across the planet, men and women with exceptional abilities made themselves known. At first, they were little more than another source of fear in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction, but over time attitudes changed and the concept of the Superhero was created in the city of Los Angeles. From there the phenomenon spread across the globe; superheroes went from being feared arms of the state to a symbol of hope in these maddening times. Times have changed. Sixty years from the emergence of the first superhero, the City of London stands on a precipice. Two years have passed since the madman Fawkes nearly brought down the United Kingdom and the remnants of the Bow Street Runners, London's premier superhero team, are struggling to keep order in a city that seems on the brink of collapse. London stands on a knife's edge, with criminal organisations that once stuck to the shadows becoming more bold, and ancient powers from myth and legend making themselves known. Alexander Laszewski has recently 'awakened' and has become entirely unremakable, effectively making himself invisible to the world. He must use his newfound power to navigate a city on the edge of collapse. If only he could figure out how to turn it off.

Birth of an AntiHero
AntiHero's FIRST REWRITE IN THE WORKS - thanks!! :] EDIT 2/28/22 - sorry, health problems right now, but I will post after rewriting the first 80-90,000 words or so and start fresh from there! Expect the change to be uploaded before summer! So long as I can keep using my hands, that is~! ^_^ X] This story will indeed get fleshed out as my vision improves for the better. But I feel the need to emphasize that a lot of parts are written in improvised comic book format as my primary writing style, and this first book is actually the entry point and starting novel for an entire very vast series I am in the works of developing. Many side characters here will eventually be main characters with there own stories; long or short. But this one particularly will be focused and centralized around Noel. Because of this, I do plan to leave the introduction for side characters as still having a special flow for readers to witness a tad of their background, so keep that in mind after my 'obviously many' rewrites from now and going into the future! Sorry for the troubles! I will improve on my style and implementation of the story!(Although I DO plan to keep parts as 'play style' or rather, comic book style, since I find it easier for certain dialogue instances as well as the fact that the novel is inspired by that 'feeling' you get while reading comic books. But my style is still evolving, you were warned!) Thank you! - Noel Tyler Malierano. He's the youngest 'son' to receive approval from 'The Malierano Family': A Criminal Organization of hitmen and hitwomen that specialize in killing, even maintaining success within a vastly superpowered society. Noel finally manages to complete his training as the newest 'Elite' killer his family created...but, there's just one problem - He doesn't want to kill! Come along and delve into a society of conflicting morals through the eyes of a boy, desperately searching for a new path to follow. Can he even manage to free himself from his father's engrained teachings and ideals? Conversely, will killing prove a lot more difficult to ignore? --- --> Thank you very much for reading! It would be helpful for me if you all consider leaving me a comment or an inbox suggestion, a review or even a full rating wherever AND whenever you believe I need to improve on anything or if something I wrote irked you! I appreciate EVERYONE that comes to read my story, however I DO want to improve my work as a writer. I hope all of you who don't like my work will let me know somehow, so I can edit and IMPROVE my story as a whole! Thank you everyone for your time! --- JUST TO NOTE!! When a character has a cultural name like, say, a Japanese or Russian name, that is because that character IS Japanese or Russian! They don't have to be FULL of one ethnicity either - sometimes they will be mixed. This story mainly takes place on an artificial continent where all countries have sent over their respective talents, meaning characters of ALL cultures and ethnic backgrounds will show hints of that in their names. Please don't assume I'm just randomly naming characters names that don't match them. And feel free to talk to me about whatever in my story troubles you - no matter how small! I love to improve. ^-^ X] --- Just to note: Characters will slowly grow as time passes. Slow pace. THANKS for reading! Enjoy! :] --- Decided to post 2 chapters every Tuesday and Friday instead of taking a small break, but I MAY upload once in a while on different days, such as Sundays, in addition to those two. :]

Free Your Mind
A journey through the mind can be a mixture of the good, the bad, the pure, and the evil. Free Your Mind is a collection of poems and short stories that I've written over the years. As of now, this book is still in progress, but I've planned to release at least 25 to 30 chapters minimum for Free Your Mind. Hopefully you enjoy reading through the works already published for this book, and I hope you'll stick around for what's to come in the future. If you have any comments, ideas, critiques, etc. please let me know! I'm always open to what people have to say about my work. Free Your Mind is a way for me to dabble into releasing my writings for the public to read. And hopefully, if all goes decent with this book, I'll continue to upload different works alongside this. Note: Currently the cover work for Free Your Mind isn't mine. I plan to upload an original design once I've completed the chapters for this book.
