Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 220 – The Necromancer Without a Skeleton Army
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
“When Mr. Fang made the rules, he probably forgot the necromancers.” Lin Shao obviously was familiar with this class. “The monsters and corpses will have some impact on the matches, but without them on the battlefield, how can this necromancer play? After all, he isn’t allowed to go to other maps to find corpses and monsters.”
“Right!” Xu Luo also thought that it was unfair. “The shop owner recommended this class to Fatty Wang, but he didn’t make rules properly for this class!”
Nalan Mingxue frowned since she knew a little bit about the skills of the necromancers. If there were corpses, Wang Tai might be able to battle for a while. But now that his skills were restricted, she could only send Fatty her condolence.
…
Since all the competitions and battles in this world were all best of ones, Fang Qi followed the custom, and all the participants in the Diablo competition got only one chance to defeat their opponents!
After all, a person only had one chance on the battlefield in the minds of the people in this world. It was impossible to keep calm.
At this moment, Fatty Wang’s hands were sweaty as he gripped his staff.
While a large group of people watched him, he was going to fight a opponent who was a super master in the real world!
He wasn’t a genius like Song Qingfeng and Nalan Mingxue, and he didn’t have better items than the others. In fact, he had been beaten senseless at the beginning of the competition, and he barely made it this far!
Since there were no corpses on the battlefield, he couldn’t summon skeletons. Therefore, the necromancers’ best skill at the beginning of the game, Raise Skeleton and Skeletal Mage, were useless spells in this battle.
The battle would be easy for him if there were groups of skeletons in front of him while rows of skeletal mages stood behind him!
Likewise, he couldn’t use the necromancers’ most powerful skill – Corpse Explosion!
Although this rule didn’t prohibit the necromancers from using these spells, they made these few spells useless in this kind of battle.
Therefore, Wang Tai was forced to adjust his skill tree, and he changed from a necromancer who mained summoning spells to a necromancer who mained bone spells.

Different from others who had formed a fixed battle style, he kept adjusting his battle style during the 20 matches in the first round. In fact, he had just barely formed his own battle style.
This was why he hadn’t entered the top 16 until the end of the first round despite his high level and good items.
In fact, he was still adjusting his battle style since he was still hesitating about many skill combos.
For example, he was still debating whether he should use Teeth or Bone Spear as his main offensive spells and if he should put skills into Iron Golem or Clay Golem, etc.
Since the Iron Golem needed a metal item with top properties to unleash its full power, he decided to choose Clay Golem for the sake of security.
Anyway, the only thing that he could summon was one Clay Golem. (Different kinds of golem couldn’t exist at the same time, so he could only summon one.)
On the other side, Elder Fu checked the usage counts of the teleport staff and other items. Equipped with the teleport skill, it was easy for him to handle a necromancer who couldn’t run that fast.
In fact, Elder Fu though that he didn’t even have to reveal that he had gotten a teleport staff in this match, and he could keep this secret weapon for the next match.
After they finished adjusting their items and skills, the count-down began, and the two opponents were teleported to the battlefield.
Elder Fu planned to charge at the necromancer who didn’t have the teleport skill and knock him out with a shield strike. In Elder Fu’s mind, he could end the battle instantly in this way.
However, he saw a solid high wall made of white bones rising between them as soon as the match began.
Through the crevices between the bones, he saw the fat young man scrambling to use his next spiritual spell.
Bone Prison!
Huge bone walls rose around him and formed a square prison, locking him in the center!
Since few people played this class, these skills were rarely seen. Besides, Wang Tai hadn’t used these skills in the first round of the competition, and all the people in the audience were baffled as soon as he used them
If one tried to climb out of this high bone prison, he would be shot into a sieve by his opponent!

The people who had been clamoring to pay condolences to Fatty Wang fell silent instantly!
Elder Fu knew that he couldn’t wait any longer. The only way to break out was by using the teleport staff; he would die if he kept it hidden.
While he took out the teleport staff, Wang Tai used the third spiritual spell in order.
They used spiritual spells almost at the same time, but the paladin’s speed of using spells was way slower than that of a necromancer.
Decrepify!
In the next moment, Elder Fu teleported behind Wang Tai!
Crack!
Wang Tai wasn’t aware of Elder Fu’s presence until the sound of the bone armor being knocked down came behind him; he immediately put more distance between him and his opponent.
All the people watched in astonishment when Elder Fu waved his shield with extreme slowness. After Elder Fu knocked down Wang Tai’s bone armor, he tried to hit Wang Tai, but the latter dodged his attack!
“What’s happening?!”
Elder Fu was also astonished when he found that his body was so heavy that it felt older than himself in the real world! He could unleash less than half of his strength compared to before!
Meanwhile, the Clay Golem which had been guarding Wang Tai began to attack!
Cursed by Decrepify, Elder Fu couldn’t dodge the attack!
He moved so that the Clay Golem didn’t hit his vital points; it only crashed onto his arm, and the damage was low.
However, he found his body turning even heavier as if he was being weighed down by a huge 1,000-pound rock!
Slow curse! The Clay Golem’s attack contained slow curse!
All the people watched as Elder Fu on the big screen moved in slow motion!
It was the result of both curses, Decrepify and Slow!
Meanwhile, many bone spells and the Clay Golem attacks crashed down!
“Oh! My god! How can he fight back?!”
“How can the paladin get out of it?!”
“This is harder to handle than the sorcerers and sorceresses’ teleport skill!”
“He can counter the sorcerers and sorceresses’ teleport skill with a teleport staff, but how can he deal with this slowing spell?”
The people who were in front of the big screens broke loose!
Xiao Yulv, who had claimed that Wang Tai couldn’t win, now blushed. “Senior Fu teleported with the shield! He still has hope!”
“He used several teleports consecutively! He has put enough distance between him and his opponent!” the others exclaimed.
“What am I watching?! The necromancer is hunting down the paladin!”
“What are these things?!” Then, they saw Wang Tai chasing after Elder Fu while waving his staff and summoning spirits one after another!
These spirits moved swiftly. As if they could smell humans, they floated directly toward Elder Fu!
“He’s finished!” Many people lamented with regret.
On the battlefield, one could only drink mana potions and couldn’t drink health potions. Also, the teleport staff could only be used about ten times, and Elder Fu had depleted half of the usage.
“Elder Fu gave himself a Holy Shield and teleported back!” To everyone’s horror, Elder Fu had teleported back!
The Decrepify and Slow had expired!
The moment that Elder Fu teleported back, lights flashed beneath his feet!
“Holy Shock! Smite?! He hit his target!” Without the restraint of Decrepify and Slow, Elder Fu hacked down his crystal sword like a phantom while he nimbly dodged the Clay Golem’s attack!
Wang Tai’s bone armor was instantly broken, and he stumbled and almost fell under this huge force!
Half of his HP was gone instantly!
However, Wang Tai had just released a bone spirit which could sense out life forms by itself. It instantly dashed onto Elder Fu, whose HP immediately dropped to the bottom!
“Can I curse him again?!” Wang Tai lifted his hand to use a curse.
“He teleported!” The people screamed in front of the big screens!
They watched as Elder Fu teleported before the curse was used as he had predicted it!
“He’s gone! The curse missed him!”
“Awesome!”
“Ahh! There’s a spirit behind him!”
“Continue teleporting! Teleport!”
“He’s finished!!” Two spirits were nearby and smelling life, so they crashed into him at great speed!
Wang Tai won the match?!
All the people watched this scene in disbelief!
They fell silent at this result!
The common-looking fat guy won the match?!
