Chapter 12 – The Mad Man has Issues

Seeing that Chen Feng wasn’t speaking and only looked at him, Lu Ji thought that he was finally listening to him, he puffed his chest out and was about to continue.

Earlier, a man and a woman entered the orphanage in ‘hopes of adopting an obedient child’. They didn’t even hesitate to choose her saying she was the most adorable little thing even though she kept staring daggers at them and kept trying to get away.

She couldn’t help but scrutinize their badly done makeup. The ‘pretty woman’ look? In front of an expert, they were full of flaws.

That ‘woman’ was a man. Did nobody see they see the bits of short hair peeking out after he pushed his wig behind his ear?

Xiao Daiyu remained stoic despite their efforts to make her ‘comfortable’ with them.

They still ended up ‘adopting’ Xiao Daiyu within a day. They went to their car along with unwilling Xiao Daiyu and drove off. The ‘husband’ drove while Xiao Daiyu and the ‘wife’ were in the back seat. The tensions was high, the ‘woman’ tried to placate Xiao DaiyuDaiyu while the man in the front agreed with anything ‘she’ asked/

After driving for a while and getting no reaction from Xiao Daiyu, the ‘woman’ took off his wig and his face contorted.

Seeing Xiao Daiyu unsurprised, the man finally exploded.

“You b*tch! Are you making fun of me?!? You already found out I’m a man so you watched me fool around like a clown right?!?” Unable to vent his anger with words alone, he grabbed Xiao Daiyu’s hair and slammed her head on the door repeatedly..

Xiao Daiyu didn’t expect this kind of reaction, the man had issues. She was briefly stunned before using her hands to go between the car door and her head.

She was unable to fight back, her hands lost feeling after a few hits and she couldn’t keep them up anymore. A few hits later, her head started bleeding. But she didn’t make a sound and only bit her lips.

“Stop it,” the man who was driving finally stopped them. He knew that his partner had a huge inferiority complex and was very violent, he was the usual type that bullied the weak and feared the strong people, “don’t damage the goods or else the price will lower.”

When he stopped, Xiao Daiyu’s head was already bleeding, her breath was ragged, and her bangs hid the murder intent that fleeted through her face before she started crying.

She cried loudly with pearl sized tears streaming down her face along the blood. If anyone else saw this they would be heartbroken and would want to protect her.

“So you know how to cry now huh?!? Shut up!” The violent man slapped her hard leaving more than half of her face swollen.

Xiao Daiyu went quiet, occasionally sobbing out loud. This made the two men’s impression was that she was all bark and no bite, which was exactly what she wanted.

They would soon know that she could easily send them down to hell.

“You put a tracker on her?” Shan Yijun, who came along with Lu Ji asked with raised eyebrows.

Embarrassed, Lu Ji coughed to cover it up, “for emergencies”

Shan Yijun’s eyes seemed to say ‘really like a mother’, but Lu Ji ignored it since he was used to it.

“Let me see,” Shan Yijun extended his hand and took the tablet next to Lu Ji.

When he saw Xiao Daiyu’s location, he raised his eyes to look at the rear-view mirror.

“No need to go to the orphanage anymore”

“But your uncle…”

Lu Ji was cut off with Shan Yijun shoving the tablet in his face. When Lu Ji saw it his expression changed and the car screeched as he drifted to stop.

Shan Yijun didn’t even budge and looked at him stoically.

“I’ll tell uncle”
