Chapter 16 – Reunion

Xiao Daiyu put those emotions aside and concentrated on her new escape plan now that she had backup.

Everyone stood at a standstill for a few seconds.

Seeing her chance, she made a run towards Lu Ji with her hands up and she exaggeratedly bumped into Lei Mang. She attempted to keep running towards the door but Lei Mang pulled her back, unaware that she was now in possession of his gun, which she was able to hide quickly in her dress.

“Stay back you brat,” Lei Mang made sure he did not let any of the children escape. He watched as his boss sauntered forward.

“Who could have thought -”

Without giving anyone a chance to continue, Xiao Daiyu pulled the gun out from under her skirt, pointing at the leader, who had the other gun, and shot him without hesitation.

“Quickly enter the room!” Xiao Daiyu shouted at the children. They complied immediately; they didn’t even have time to shake their boots as they ran back to the dark room.

She staggered from the recoil, it was pathetic that she wasn’t even capable of shooting a handgun, her body was too weak.

Lu Ji was still stunned from seeing how mistreated Xiao Daiyu, he almost got a heart attack after seeing her perfectly shoot a gun, and raise it again to stop anyone from coming towards her.

The three men couldn’t do anything, the moment they moved she would not hesitate to shoot them on the spot. After seeing her last shot, they knew she was no joke. Her hand was extremely steady even if she was rushing.

The leader was so mad at the turn of the situation that veins were popping out of his face.

Seeing the confident little girl, and the heartless look in her eyes, Lu Ji suddenly thought she took after Chen Feng too much. He smirked at all the trouble she would cause in the future.

“Freeze”

Everyone looked at Lu Ji again, rather behind him. A tall handsome man had come in pointing yet another gun at them

“Y-you… How did you find us?!?” The leader shouted in disbelief.

“Hmm… I wonder how…” Lu Ji taunted them with no intention of revealing the tracker on Xiao Daiyu, making the kidnappers more pissed.

“Uncle Lu….” Shan Yijun called from behind.

“Yijun, didn’t I tell you to stay behind?” Lu Ji frowned and turned his head slightly to look at Shan Yijun. When he met Chen Feng’s handsome smiling face he froze. The smile was colder than the nine hells, he was holding the gun he gave Shan Yijun.

Lu Ji got shrivers, once they got out of this, there would be no end to his torture.

Xiao Daiyu had to move before being able to see who had come in. But when she saw Chen Feng her eyes brightened, she pursed her lips but she couldn’t stop herself from smiling.

When Chen Feng saw Xiao Daiyu looking at him, he subconsciously stopped emitting cold air and smiled at her.
