When Brina was about to walk to the other side of the car and Louis was about to get into the driver's seat, they heard someone coming towards their direction.

And, Brina was so sure that it was Tanya.

She would be coming to ask her for her boyfriend's name! Or, she would have come to make sure her best friend is not lying about her boyfriend.

But, the point here is Brina doesn't have one! She can't ask Louis to interfere in her matters to this extent. He has helped her enough and she didn't want to rely anymore on him.

Not knowing what to do, she couldn't help but bite her lower lip.

Louis, who was watching her every movement, felt his eyes darken. When Brina bit her lower lip, it turned him on for some reason.

He felt a sudden urge to kiss her — ravish her lips and suck them with all his might.

He felt that he should be the one to bite her lips, not Brina herself. With all those crazy thoughts running in his mind, engulfing him in hot imagination, he lost his control and he abruptly pulled her closer to him and hugged her.

It is because, in his angle, he wouldn't be able to see her face anymore, thus, it might cool down his pervy imagination.

He already kissed her once without her consent and he didn't want to take advantage of her anymore… at least not till he could make sure his advances wouldn't freak her out.

Meanwhile, Brina who was distracted with Tanya's arrival couldn't think straight.

But when she felt his warm body engulfing her in hot, tight, Brina felt overwhelmed and her heart started turning heavy.

However, she couldn't help her desire either!

Smiling against his chest, Brina closed her eyes in contentment.

She isn't sure why she felt his hug so intense and heartwarming... her brain has stopped working properly.

All she could think is how secured and peaceful she felt in his arms. She stopped feeling this way after her father and brother died.

Louis is the only person after them who has made her feel that she could rely on him and stop worrying about what her future holds.

Caught in this moment of bliss, Brina didn't even notice Tanya who was exclaiming in shock. .

Infact, Brina didn't notice anything that was happening around her.

Her every thought, every inch of her body is only filled with warmth Louis is providing her.

She felt as if she was swallowed by heaven, she never experienced in years.Not knowing how or when, their lips met…

A sweet and short kiss followed later….

And, Brina didn't even have an idea when their tangled lips had parted. Now, they are standing close to each other with their foreheads touching, while they have their eyes closed.

Louis was the first person to recover. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he witnessed was Brina's smile.

She looked so serene and blissful that it made his heart skip a beat. She looked so beautiful when she had that genuine smile on her face.

And the thought that, that smile has appeared because of him, made him the happiest person alive on earth.

He didn't want to part with her, but, reluctantly he moved a little further and talked with his husky tone. "I guess, you are saved for today, Ms. Parker."

"Your friend ran away after seeing us kiss. Quick instincts, I must say." He chuckled, acting as if he did this just to save her from Tanya.

He has also wanted to call her sweetie, darling, baby…

He wants to tell her how pure and genuine his kiss is, but he could only lie for now.

He is aware that this isn't the right time for that. They need to take this slow so he will not freak her out.

Meanwhile, Brina whose heart is now in a crazy roller coaster ride opened her eyes. At last, coming back to the mortal realm.

It is only when she realized what has happened.

They kissed!

But he did it to save her. She couldn't blame him for that… that too when she enjoyed the kiss.

Blushing like a ripe, she looked at him and smiled.

"Thanks for saving me today. I owe you," she said, her voice coming back to a normal state.

She, being someone who observes the persons a lot, could figure out that he enjoyed the kiss… in fact, it is evident from his eyes that he wanted more.

His eyes have been constantly drifting to her lips and lingering there before he could avert them to control himself.

Their attraction is mutual.

"Hmm… We will see what we can do with this 'I owe you' thing. But, let's get out of here, shall we?" Louis asked, coughing a bit. This silence is making his kund go more pervy.

The faster they change the topic, the safer it will be for Brina.

"Yeah… Yeah, sure," Brina swiftly agreed. She is on the same page as him.

They smiled at each other before they got into the car. This moment is something they couldn't forget. It almost felt like they were really a couple wanting no more but to spend time with each other.

Even that thought is blissful.

"Thank you," Brina said again as Louis ignited the car. If it isn't for him, she would surely be in an awkward situation with Tanya.

"I just helped you a little bit, Ms. Parker. Please, don't thank me again."

Brina pouted all in sudden and looked at him.

She abruptly pulled him closer using his necktie, shocking Louis.

"You just kissed me. Not once but twice and given with what happened, we are at least eligible to call ourselves friends. So, shall we cut all those formalities 'Miss Parker' and everything of that sort?" she asked, totally demanding.

Louis smiled and his eyes traveled all over her face. "You are a sly, little naughty vixen, Brina," he told and suddenly Brina let go of his tie.

Realizing what she did, she blushed hard. Cursing herself for the impulse action she did now, Brina averted her eyes, suddenly interested in the deserted parking lot.

She is so, so confused why her thoughts are running all erratic. She didn't understand why her heart was taking control of her mind, shadowing her self control and consciousness.

Louis who just saw her cute face getting flustered and red, couldn't help but laugh out.

'This woman is full of surprises.' He thought.

She was never simple and normal as others think of her.

There is something much more in her which he could only see.

For which he might fall in love with her…. perhaps, he already fell in love with her.

"Didn't Ms. Parker have said that she owes me? Can we discuss what to do with it?" he asked in a teasing tone.

He wanted to continue staring at her blushing face, however, he couldn't help but get afraid that he would lose his self control and freak her out. So, he swiftly changed the topic again..

Brina pouted and looked at him. "Friends don't owe each other I guess, Mr. Cruz?" she asked, rebuking him with the same teasing tone.

"Of course, Ms. Parker. But the owe is made before we became friends, you owed it to me before confessing our friendship by pulling me with my tie like a little cute vixen." Louis teased back, winking at her.

Brina's heart fluttered seeing him flirt with her. She knew that their closeness is a little deeper than 'friendship' and so does he.

But their feelings are still to be sorted out yet. So, they couldn't confess it aloud that it is not friendship they have between them.

Brina is not able to put her finger on how close their relationship exactly is and although Louis is somehow sure, he wants to give her some time. Not to put it rashly and suffocate her like how Chris did.

Rolling her eyes, she asked, "So, what shall Mr. Cruz want me to do with this 'I owe you' thing?"

"Take me on a date, Ms. Parker."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me right, Ms. Parker. Take me to dinner… Our first date as 'friends'" he told, pressing more on the word 'friends'.

Brina of course sensed what he is implying by his words.

She actually owes him not only once but twice.

Treating him with dinner at a good restaurant will not do any harm!

"Sure, Mr. Cruz. Where to?"
