"Did Chris leave?" Louis asked.

"Yes sir. He followed you and madam to the apartment but he left long back." Assistant answered.

"And, Chris might check on my background. Cover all the tracks that might connect me to my real name."

"Yes sir. Anything else?" his assistant asked.

"Nothing. Did you check on Brina's past as I asked?" Louis asked, as he looked around, checking if Brina had come out of her room.

"It will be on your table by morning, sir" Louis assistant told.

It is not that Louis wants to check on her. He just wants to know the reason why she hates rich people and prefers to have a simple life.

But he strongly decided not to go too deep into her past. If she wants, she will tell him by herself.

For now, he just wanted to understand the basic things about her and form the guidelines for himself so that she would not feel uncomfortable with him, like how she is with Chris.

He doesn't want to become another Chris!

"Hey" Brina called back, as she changed into casual dress and came out.

"Hey" Louis greeted back as he ended the call and came back to sit.

"Which coffee?" Brina asked, smiling.

The awkward situation from before was nowhere to be seen.

"Whatever you are good at. After hearing about your culinary skills, I decided to go easy on you" Louis chuckled as he told me.

"Go easy on me, or yourself?" Brina asked, raising her eyebrow mockingly.

Louis chuckled and didn't answer. He stood up and walked to the kitchen island.

"If you want I can make a good coffee you know. For both of us" Louis offered.

Brina laughed and shook her head. "I was kidding earlier. I am actually good at cooking actually" she chuckled.

"I have been cooking for myself for the past five years." She told, boiling the milk.

"I am a foodie," Louis abruptly said.

"And, I am famished….so, why don't you cook me dinner, instead?" he asked.

Brina rolled her eyes.

"I am just kidding," he laughed.

But before she could answer, his phone started to ring.

"Excuse me," Louis said and took the call.

It's Charlotte.

"Hey Char, what is it?" Louis asked.

After hearing for another two minutes, Louis frowned.

"Yeah. I will be back soon" he answered and turned towards Brina who is humming as she busied herself in making coffee.

His eyes softened as he looked at her tenderly.

Louis couldn't help but feel like staying in this cozy place forever. Brina is so casual and peaceful that Louis felt her more attractive.

He just wanted to freeze this time and spend more time with the love of his life.

"Brina, I have to leave," Louis said.

"Something came up," he added.

"Oh" Brina looked at him. She couldn't deny that she is disappointed.

"All right. I will see you tomorrow in the office" she smiled.

"Good night. Take care" Louis told.

"Good night to you too," Brina said, as she walked him to the door.

Reluctantly he left and he obviously missed the disappointment etching on her face.

After that, Brina busied herself in planning her next trap for her elder cousin who is trying to snatch away her mother's properties from her.

Those properties are the one she wanted to donate to orphanage welfare.

And, all in sudden, while she is in deep investigation….engrossed in her laptop, her front door clicked open, instantly making Brina alert.

From nowhere, Brina took out a sharp dagger hidden under her pillow. Donning herself in white sleeping robe, she hid it beneath it and cautiously walked to the living room.

After seeing who that person is, it is only when she sighed in relief.

It's Tanya.

"You look so alert" Tanya said as she placed her Hermes bag on the table.

She took off her expensive high heels and looked back at Brina who seemed relieved after sewing her.

"I didn't expect you, Tan. You should be with CEO Ben in his penthouse now. What are you doing here?" Brina asked as she discreetly went into the kitchen room and placed the knife into the knife stand.

"I came for a night out to spend time with my bestie. What? Am I not allowed anymore after I got engaged??" Tanya asked pouting.

Brina of course knows why her friend Tanya is here. Though she doesn't mean any harm, she is more inclined to help Chris.

It is because Chris and their CEO Ben are best friends and eventually, Tanya became close to Chris as well.

He would have requested Tanya to find out about her 'boyfriend'. Otherwise, why would the newly engaged girl come for a sleepover with a friend?

She would rather spend time in bed with her fiancé than spending a night with a best friend with whom she had shared the house for almost two years.

"Of course, you are allowed Tan. I am just surprised" Brina said, as she hugged her friend.

"That's all right, Bri," Tanya smiled and sat down on the couch, dragging Brina with her.

"Let's put the formalities away, baby. Let's talk about something more interesting" Tanya squealed.

Brina knows that this is coming. Back then in the evening, Louis helped her out but now, she is all alone to herself.

"So. ..who is he?" Tanya asked, her eyebrows arched up mischievously.

"Who?" Brina asked innocently.

"You little devil….I am asking about your boyfriend!! I saw his back view and he is gorgeous." Tanya squealed.

Brina does know that Tanya is genuinely happy and curious.

But the only problem here is she doesn't have a boyfriend to talk about!!

"Tan-" Brina is about to come with an excuse but her mobile rang again.

Brina's mobile which is placed on the table, lit up. It is Louis again.
